Du hast die Datei BraunshardtAirfieldAerialPhoto.jpg gelöscht mit dem Hinweis, dass keine Lizenz angegeben wurde. Das ist so nicht richtig: Das unbearbeitete Luftbild stammt aus dem Geoportal Hessen, Hist. DOP 1952-67. Die dort veröffentlichtenn Daten sind Open Data, Lizenztext s. hier. Demnach gibt es hinsichtlich der Nutzung keine Einschränkungen. Für die Modifikationen hatte ich die Lizenz CC BY-SA 4.0 Deed mit meinem Klarnamen als Urheber angegeben. Falls formale Fehler vorliegen sollten, hatte ich hier um Überprüfung, d.h., Hilfestellung und um einen Verzicht auf voreilige Löschung gebeten. Stattdessen hast du die Datei einfach gelöscht, was ja viel bequemer ist, als sich mit einer Überrüfung meines Lizenztextes auseinanderzusetzen. Deine Pauschal-Hinweise auf : COM:L and: COM:VRT sind im Übrigen nicht hilfreich und bewirken nur eine Demotivierung von Usern, die sich einige Mühe Verbesserung von Beitrage gemacht, aber deiner Meinung nach offensichtlich die komplexen Vorgaben für Lizenztexte nicht verstanden haben. PeerBot user rights

I think you haven't edited any project for at least a year. What exactly are you developing? If there si no strong reason, please try to implement this without apihighlimis. --Krd 10:51, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

You can see the project here (there is also a demo). Currently I am working on other features not directly related to Wikipedia search (like authentication) so I was not actively running the bot. Also because of this issue I am waiting for fixes to dumps before I rerun things again. But I would love it once I cycle back to this the bot would have user rights. Hello, I want to report this file where is a picture of me with my name, surname and place where I am from. The picture was posted by my friend for a joke on the page about my place. Since some admin from Serbia deleted all nonsense he wrote on the page when I reported, I thought that was all, but today I saw my picture. Hi krd. The author sent the permission mail to "permissions-zh-hans@wikimedia.org" on Dec. 29, 2023, and hasn't received any response to ask for further documents. We thought that we had been permitted. But why has the image been deleted? Hi! I didn’t see the description page of this file, but I think it’s in the public domain. According to the filename, it’s a self-portrait by Gyula Derkovits (Q904179) († 1934). Its copyright protection expired in Hungary in 1985 (50 years pma at the time) and while restored in 1999 (when 70 years pma protection was made retroactive), expired again in 2005. Unless it has never been published between 1921 and 1989, it has not been URAA-restored (it wasn’t protected on 1 January 1996), so it’s in the public domain in the US as well. (See details on the copyright law history of Hungary at Template:PD-HU-unknown/doc.) Steward elections

Hi Krd, the steward elections have started and there were comments about a low voter turnout in the questions to the candidates. I must say I also wasn't made aware other than because I had watchlisted the talk page of a steward who then received a question regarding the Steward elections there. Other events and elections are usually made visible pretty good like at the watchlist or with a banner that appears quite often not just once a day. But every time one opens the watchlist. I then requested advice in Meta, but was told its the projects work to make the elections known. In view of the low voter turnout, I suggest we make it a bit more visible. Like make it visible 5-10 times per cycle/day than only once a day, or have it announced like the sysop elections at the watchlist. Die Fotografin hat leider die Emails nicht mehr, dementsprechend auch keine Ticketnummer, hast du die Möglichkeit ihr die Email auch nochmal zukommen zu lassen, die bilder wurden nämlich auch gelöscht jetzt. Die Email ging am 4. Januar 2024 an sie, ansonsten erkenne ich auf dem Screenshot der mir vorliegt nur, welcher Kollege diese geschickt hat, allerdings wohl mit seinem richtigen Namen, den ich als Benutzer nicht finde. Giving a permission to an account to allow it to upload content from their organisation

Hi Krd

I was to you were the person to come and talk to about this. I'm doing some work with some different UN agencies and we have been using VRT to send emails for each batch of files, however we want to scale up sharing content, possibly to 1000s of files. I really don't want to make all that work for VRT volunteers so I wanted to see if you could explain how to get an account approved for uploading content. My understanding is there is a process using an email to approve the account and then a template to add to each of the file, but I can't find this written down anywhere.... Could you explain how it works and help me set it up and then I can document it for others to use.

Krd, maybe something like this? and then the VRT volunteer would give then a temaplate to add to any of their uploads? I didn't want to include a specific license in the release because it would give flexibility to the account to chose different licenses for different kinds of content.

Úgy gondoltam, hogy mivel a törölt képeknél nem áll módomban licencmódosítást végrehajtani, újra felteszem a Commonsra a már úgyis törölt képeket, de rám szóltak, hogy ezt ne tegyem.

Böse Fuchs

Hallo Krd. Warum wurden alle mein Bilder von Böse Fuchs gelöscht??? Eine Email mit der Freigabe der Urherberin wurde am 27. Dezember 2023 am permissions-de@wikimedia.org weitergeleitet, sie hat auch eine Bestätigng über den Erhalt der Email bekommen ... stundenlange Arbeit umsonst zerstört, sehr unschön! Bitte um schnelle Klärung & Korrektur. Wäre auch schön wenn nicht dasselbe mit den Bildern hier passiert. Auch hier ging die Email zum Verifizieren bereits am 3. Das Bild wurde auf https://www.duma72.ru hochgeladen, der Website der en:Tyumen Oblast Duma. Dort heißt es "Все материалы сайта доступны по лицензии Creative Common Attribution 3.0". Today you acted on a bunch of files tagged a week ago by User:188.170.87.219 as lacking evidence of permission. Several of those have various PD tags supported by links to sources) or have descriptions that similarly demonstrate PD. I undeleted one or two and flipped another few that had not yet been deleted into DRs before I saw the extent of the pattern here. Hi, could you please confirm that the uploader of File:Dhananjaya Das Kathiababa.jpg is actually copyright holder of this image? (As file description says it was taken in 1980) They send proper permission, identification to VRT and not just a generic email saying "I am copyright holder"? If you see User talk:Bozz aldri, it's full of copyvio notices. I have suspicions that they might be not the actual copyright holder. I think the ticket is valid per VRT standard, but please feel free to have it double checked by another VRT member.

It was never said that the uploader is the copyright holder, but there is permission from the copyright holder.

Lieber Krd, darf ich fragen, warum Du alle Dateien, die vom Studio Rist hochgeladen wurden, mit einem „Genehmigung fehlt“ Template versehen hast? Ich habe die Benutzerin beim Upload unterstützt und auch dafür gesorgt, dass die Verifzierung des Kontos aus der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia auf das Commons-Konto übertragen wurde. Die Rechte an den Bildern und den Werken liegen bei Pipilotti Rist. Was genau ist Dein Ansinnen mit dem Template und wie lässt sich Abhilfe schaffen? Es ist absurd, dass nun jedes Bild einzeln genehmigt werden soll. Von wem denn eigentlich? Bitte erkläre mir den Vorgang, da ich zwar einen guten Einblick in das Commons-Handling, Lizenzfragen und zum deutschen Urheberrecht habe (weniger in das schweizerische allerdings), an diesem Punkt jedoch überfragt bin, warum der Upload durch die Künstlerin selbst von einem verifizierten Konto nicht ausreichend ist. Am besten wäre es, wenn sie alle Bilder gesammelt via Permissions dann nochmal freigeben könnte. Robert Burns skull

Hi, two images were deleted on 9 March 2024 relating to the front and back of a cast of Robert Burns skull because there had been "no image release email since 9 February 2024". However I have an email from the image holder on 26th January 2024 confirming they had used the release generator to send this very email. Can these two images be restored please. Moin Krd, ich kann ja nicht sehen, was das ticket:2024041010011792 enthält, aber da gibt es eine Unstimmingkeit. Du hast File:Retrato de Maria Perpétua 1815.png als copyvio gelöscht. Entweder das ist ein Gemälde/Zeichnung vom Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts, dann ist es keine copyvio, oder es ist aus neuerer Zeit, dann wären File:Retrato de Maria Perpétua.png und File:Retrato em miniatura de Maria Perpétua Calafate de Souza.jpg ebenfalls zu löschen, weil sie genau dasselbe Kunstwerk darstellen. Deleted and pending files

Hi Krd, sorry to bother you,

I imported about 70 photos from the same photographer on 27 March and 3 April, and I'm afraid their validity will expire. The photographer told me that he had sent the declaration of consent.

I went ahead and sent a message to say that the photographer was going to send a message to confirm. He told me it had been done. I've also posted on the Volunteer Response Team/Noticeboard to offer my help : Ticket Numbers 2024032710000087 and 2024040310000227

Today I see that several files have been deleted and others are waiting to be validated. I think I've followed the rules diligently and so has the photographer, but there could still be a communication problem.

How can we fix this, please? I've spent a lot of time setting up this partnership.

Invalid ticket for EDMA?

On File:EDMA - La psychanalyse, Le Livre de Poche, 1975.djvu, there is a OTRS ticket since 2010. What suddenly changed that made you delete it yesterday? (I know there was an other ticket for some of the pictures, but AFAIK it has been dealt with on Commons:Deletion requests/File:EDMA - La psychanalyse, Le Livre de Poche, 1975 (page 30 crop).jpg). Ping @Schutz: who dealt with this back then.

PS: I wont restore the book itself for now and until I know more, but I already restored some of the images (like File:EDMA - La psychanalyse, Le Livre de Poche, 1975 (page 14 crop).jpg) which are clearly in the public domain.

FYI, we did some checks and most images are indeed in public domain, there is only 3 uncertain ones that I didn't restored yet (and if we don't find clear origin, I'll ask to remove them from the scan). So basically, any file that gets nominated for deletion essentially has a free pass to stay on Commons for at least a month, no matter how blatant of a copyright infringement it is. But because someone happened to nominate it for deletion first, this blatantly copyrighted image gets immunity from deletion and will stay on Commons for over a month. @Krd Sadly, no. If it was on the image files, well, I cannot view them as I am not an admin. The photographer did not tell me whether they received any reply - I (well, my wife, I don't speak Korean) talked to them and she did not ask nor did they mention it; but they seemed surprised the photos got deleted because they sent the proper email to VRT (that I now have and as I said I can report or fwd it). It is pretty standard (I advised them on how to write it), links to the category, is signed, and is basically the form we ask people to use, with no changes I see except to fill in the required fields. Dear Krdǃ May I ask why you deleted István Lajkó's photo instead of reading the permission for the entire http://www.lajkoistvan.hu/hu/multimedia/galeria sent by uploading the photo? After a few hours, the template appeared on the image, indicating that the author's consent has been received. I do not consider it acceptable that a licensed uploaded image was deleted only because no one was able to check the permisson and approve it for 30 days. Last year, the file was deleted after someone removed the licensing templates from the file description; you restored it after I raised the issue. This seems to have happened again. Now, the image probably has to be considered URAA restored, so I'm not going to ask that it be restored, but could you check to see if the licence tags were removed in bad faith, and if so, whether the remover also committed such vandalism to other file pages which may have also been deleted as a result? --Paul_012 (talk) 09:31, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

Karten wirklich ohne Lizenzinformation?

Hallo, gestern wurde eine Vielzahl von Karten (größtenteils Gemarkungsgrenzen und Einzugsgebiete unterfränkischer Gemeinden) entfernt, was einen großen Informationsverlust darstellt. Als Grund angegeben ist "No license since 25 March 2024", was für mich jedoch nicht nachvollziehbar ist, da in der Google-Suche nach den Karten noch Lizenzinformationen zu finden sind. Ich könnte mir lediglich vorstellen, dass die Lizenzinformationen durch Vandalismus entfernt wurden. Ich bitte um Prüfung und ggf. Wiederherstellung.

Es handelt sich – sofern ich alle gefunden habe – um folgende Dateien (sorry für die lange Liste):

For example, license tag on File:Esselbach 500.png was {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} what is obviously wrong: work of other people was used, so {{Self}} claim is invalid, as well as OpenStreetMap license is different ({{CC-BY-SA 2.0}}). @Vaionaut: Here is one example I checked: File:Aalbachtal Einzugsgebiet.jpg is derived from opentopomap.org. The file description claimed this to be the own work by the uploader (by using {{Self}}) and granted a {{Cc-by-sa-4.0}} which doesn't match {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} used by OpenTopoMap. Neither OpenTopoMap (for the map style) nor OpenStreetMap were credited. Mass-uploading such maps without proper credit and licenses is a disaster waiting to happen. How to fix this? We could temporarily restore the whole lot but then we need a volunteer who goes through all these files within a reasonable time frame, fixes the credits and adds links to the original maps. My picture is one of the deleted ones (Gayskinheadskissing, now leads to this list), but I have not gotten any info about that the permission I had given needed to be updated, not anywhere. It is a pity it gets removed without warning, especially as it was widely used with my full rights given. Please note Commons:Categories for discussion/2020/05/Category:Ehsan Sehgal. Now an anonymous user on my talk page told me a second deletion request has been closed (by you) with deletion. Indeed, you closed the DR, based on the comments of the user, that the person would be not notable, in Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Moona Sehgal. The same nominator omitted two images in the list, one of them is currently in use. What do you think? Would it be appropriate to undelete these images, because the person is in scope on Commons. Es war ein grober Fehler vom User Minorax, er hat wohl nicht gemerkt, dass Zuschnitt von mir schon durchgeführt worden war, dabei ließ ich aber die Diskussion FOP of Greece weiter stehen. Solle es nicht genügend sein, mach noch kleiner, wie du willst, aber behalte dann Sony DSC-WX350 3 : 4, denn die Datei geht auf die Seite Category:Resilient Lady (ship, 2022) in Rhodes, sonst wird sie herausragen. Last year, the file was deleted after someone removed the licensing templates from the file description; you restored it after I raised the issue. This seems to have happened again. Hi, I have seen that you have been removing the {{Permission pending}} template off the images in Category:Barba_(WikiProject_LGBT). However, the author sent a VRT ticket reaffirming the release of all the images under the mentioned license. In order to avoid problems in the future, it would be nice to have all the images marked with a VRT template as in File:Barba-wikiproyecto-lgbt.svg. These are all derivatives of a single design, so it should be sufficient when the original has permission, and is mentioned as the source of the rest. I never understood the double standard of the deletion criteria

Hi Krd,

You once have targeted my uploaded files many deletions like here.

As I told you in your archived talk page, I understand that you took this action just because you found my uploaded contents to be unoriginal and suitable for the criteria for immediate deletion.

However, when I referred to another user page taking the same action as yours, someone like the Wikimedia administrator said that there should be enough time to discuss whether the deletion request was appropriate.

Wikimedia requires a multi-person discussion, but there does not seem to be any discussion when deleting my contents.

What do you think about this? I am sorry to bother you, but I would appreciate it if you could take sensible approach. 😌🤍

Archive DR logs with other number systems

Because of this bug with the Commons mobile app, users who don't have our normal Arabic 0-9 as their native number system, are adding their deletion requests to the logs written with their number system. That's why we got pages like Commons:Deletion requests/২০২৩/০৬/০৮ and Commons:Deletion requests/۲۰۲۳/۰۹/۱۶ among others. This should be the full list. Deletion of Poland_regions_travel_map_revised_(Edited).png

File:Poland regions travel map revised (Edited).png was deleted as "No license since 29 June 2024". However, I assume it is based on the SVG version of File:Poland regions travel map revised.png (or …revised1.svg), which doesn't seem more problematic than most self-created maps at Wikimedia Commons.

The Wikivoyage community doesn't seem to have been alerted on the deletion threat. If the problem lies in the later edits, I assume that could be sorted out by the community. If the problem is in the base map (by some definition), perhaps an ordinary DR would be warranted.

Anyway, the deletion of a region map causes severe disruption on Wikivoyage, and I think the Wikivoyage community would be entitled to a notice and a grace period, to be able to create a replacement map before the deletion.

I'm angry with myself. I was told that the license was wrong and meant to do it the next day. Hello. I've reviewed COM:VRT and COM:L and it's still unclear to me why the file was deleted. The file was released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International by its original owner, and the copyright notice is visible at the bottom of each of the organization's webpages, "Все материалы сайта доступны по лицензии: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International" ("All site materials are available under the license: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International"). The message also includes a link to the Creative Commons page for the BY 4.0 deed. I had also archived the site here for future reference: https://archive.md/mHfOX. It applies to those listed at Undeletion requests, for various reasons mentioned there but mostly simply because it is own work. Basically the last 9 files listed in the discussion.

Some of the other pictures was taken by a close friend of mine (Angel Arce), who gave me permission to upload them, he already does for luchawiki.org. But I will just ask him to reupload them himself instead of going through the VRT process for those. Only three pixtures were screenshots taken from non CC videos due to a missunderstanding on my part. All of those, I marked as G7 as soon as I realized I had been wrong. Assume good faith. Thank you for that. Please read my arguments and take them into account. I admit to making a mistake uploading 3 screenshots from YouTube due to being misinformed by another user (who had no intent to mislead, it was a simple misunderstanding.) See sv:Användardiskussion:Estrellato, and use translation software for further explaination. Those files should obviously stay deleted. But I will stand by that all the last 9 files (now restored) in the first deletion request are completely my own work, and I have made everything I can to prove so, including writing on said album in my Facebook profile that I am Estrellato and I give permission to use everything from that album for public domain. Thank you, but I am aware of the VRT process. The question is why there was a need for a ticket and what permission was missing? File upload doesn't require VRT unless it was present somewhere else before it was uploaded to Commons or someone claims that the file has their copyright. Please check the prior discussion here. In short, a copy on X was done after upload to Commons and when the image got attention AdityaRajKaul has deleted the file which he didn't properly attribute to where he took it from. Hi Krd, I nominated this file for deletion because I noticed there are versions, like for example one published in Bild (link), with different crops that show bystanders walking in the top of the frame that are not in the version here at Commons. These are clearly edited derivatives, and certainly not the photographer's doing. I've raised this both at the deletion request here and at Oleg Yunakov's talk page here, but Oleg's response has been to ignore and revert me. Karten wirklich ohne Lizenzinformation?

Hallo, gestern wurde eine Vielzahl von Karten (größtenteils Gemarkungsgrenzen und Einzugsgebiete unterfränkischer Gemeinden) entfernt, was einen großen Informationsverlust darstellt. Als Grund angegeben ist "No license since 25 March 2024", was für mich jedoch nicht nachvollziehbar ist, da in der Google-Suche nach den Karten noch Lizenzinformationen zu finden sind. Ich könnte mir lediglich vorstellen, dass die Lizenzinformationen durch Vandalismus entfernt wurden. Ich bitte um Prüfung und ggf. Wiederherstellung.

Es handelt sich – sofern ich alle gefunden habe – um folgende Dateien (sorry für die lange Liste):

For example, license tag on File:Esselbach 500.png was {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} what is obviously wrong: work of other people was used, so {{Self}} claim is invalid, as well as OpenStreetMap license is different ({{CC-BY-SA 2.0}}). @Vaionaut: Here is one example I checked: File:Aalbachtal Einzugsgebiet.jpg is derived from opentopomap.org. The file description claimed this to be the own work by the uploader (by using {{Self}}) and granted a {{Cc-by-sa-4.0}} which doesn't match {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} used by OpenTopoMap. Neither OpenTopoMap (for the map style) nor OpenStreetMap were credited. Mass-uploading such maps without proper credit and licenses is a disaster waiting to happen. How to fix this? We could temporarily restore the whole lot but then we need a volunteer who goes through all these files within a reasonable time frame, fixes the credits and adds links to the original maps. Yes, I have already discussed it with Najafov via Facebook. He agreed to publish all photos made by him that were uploaded by him into his facebook page[17], instagram page[18], Union of Azerbaijan Photographers[19] and into the web-site of Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan[20] (he is actually the official photographer of this ministry).

As he informed me he already mentioned that information and gave the url links of those web-sites in his permission e-mail yesterday [Ticket#: 2024082610003915]. I think that based on this information we can apply this ticket to all his photos from those pages he mentioned in his permission letter as well.

Wasn't able to answer the deletion request because of my phone's technical issues, which has 2FA tied to my account. The deleter's rationale is actually faulty in light of Polish law (see COM:FOP Poland). That is, so long as you do not actually start producing poster copies from that, it is alright. See also Template:FoP-Poland. COM:POSTER says posters are copyrighted as a rule, but publicly displayed poster, as this one was, are specifically exempt. Regarding the recent deletion of this image, ticket: 2024080710007242 applies to this photo as well, as Professor Valentin Ivănescu granted permission for its use. Could this file be restored, or should I reupload it? Additionally, is it possible to create a custom Creative Commons license tag for the photos from his collection? Although the copyright for the photos has expired under Romanian law (1956), since the photos come from his personal collection, I believe he retains some control over their publication. Therefore, I think applying a CC BY 4.0 license would be appropriate.

While the photos are in the public domain, scans of the physical photographs come from a private collection (in this case, Valentin Ivănescu's). Doesn’t the owner who created the photo scans control the publication rights? The collector agrees to the publication but with the condition that they are attributed to his collection. Феодосия 044.jpg can probably be kept as "PD-RusEmpire" but it looks like you kept the next file down, File:2015. Феодосия 090.jpg instead when it should have been deleted. VRT permissions

Hello Krd, last weekend you dropped {{No permission}} templates on two photos from third parties that I uploaded/transferred from Flickr. Since there's no clear discussion page/link given in the dropped template, I drop in here on your talk page. It concerns these two photos File:National Archives of Georgia (december 2007).jpg and File:Tbilisi - corner Pekini and Kazbegi (december 2007).jpg. Can you tell me why you thought the permissions are missing? I see the Flickr license to be eligible to transfer both photos to Commons - which I did via the Share images from Flickr button in the upload page of Commons which has an automatic check. Also the Flickr bot check was positively accepted on both photos. So I am a bit confused here. To me it looks very similar to dozens of my own photos that I transferred myself from Flickr, or the hundreds of my photos that others transferred from my Flickr to Commons. If you still see ground to have photos in this situation deleted for lack of (VRT) permission then I am very much interested, because I have tried to get a range of my photos deleted from Commons that others uploaded, but failed to have that arranged as the CC license was in place. Hello, one of their file submissions is marked for deletion (Special:Diff/919505526). At enwiki, Special:CentralAuth/Nima_Lhamo and Special:CentralAuth/Tsillganishkutz are confirmed to Cyber.Eyes.2005. Please see w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Cyber.Eyes.2005/Archive#19_February_2023 and w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Cyber.Eyes.2005/Archive#14_February_2023 for enwiki CU results. The mentioned investigations are one and a half year old. I don't know why Cyber.Eyes.2005 was never blocked at Commons, but it appears to be fact that they were never blocked. Perhaps this was a mistake, but I see no reason to now reinstate a block that actually never was made, after such long time with no actual gross misbehaviour. Is there any current abuse? Deleting derivative works - File:Spieloberflächen.jpg

Hello Krd,

several of my pictures were tagged als derivative work 7 days ago. Most of the taggs were correct and i've read the COM:L and COM:VRT. So this should not happen again.

The File:Spieloberflächen.jpg was the only one, in my opinion wasn't tagged correct. I also checked this on the german page for copyright questions. The answer was, for surfaces like tables and walls, the copyright is not applied. I also added an information to the source information of the picture. So, I did the foto by myself and uploaded it by myself. This foto should have been ok. See also https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Urheberrechtsfragen

Is the a possibility to revive the picture? I also could reupload the picture, but this seemed useless to me without clarifying the topic.

Hi! It was reported on my talk page User_talk:MGA73#Vandalism-related_help that some users vandalize and mass tag files with no permission. This user mass tagged and you deleted at least some of the files. I checked a few and they were from YouTube. Some are no longer available but some are still there. I think that for example File:DoMixi1989.jpg and File:20181013 Nguyễn Phương Hằng at Talkshow.png looks good. I have not checked the other files. Hallo Krd, this is obviously a case of vandalism. They tagged the files as NPD today yet the date in the template is September 12th, see Special:Diff/926462275, so that the files could be deleted in a blink of an eye, before anyone could do anything. A lot of those files you deleted have valid licenses and don't need permission because they are own work, screenshots from YouTube video by legitimate copyright holders e.g. File:NGỌC TRINH VÀ SIÊU MẪU VÕ HOÀNG YẾN KHOE VẺ RẠNG RỠ TẠI HẬU TRƯỜNG VIFW SS18.webm, files already reviewed by a license reviewer e.g. File:Sơn Tùng M-TP hát Chín bậc tình yêu tại đêm nhạc An Thuyên 27s.jpg (if there's something wrong, it'd be better to bring it to DR instead of tagging it as NPD), photos taken by a photographer in Flickr and freely licensed e.g. File:20090626 Ngô Thanh Vân, Johny Trí Nguyễn.jpg. There are several that indeed violate copyright and these should be deleted but these are only several among hundreds of correctly licensed files. Please look more into this case because too many files were wrongly deleted, compared to only a few correctly deleted. Even if some files may need permission, the uploaders should be able to have 7 days to resolve the issue. While in this situation, they have barely have anytime. For example File:20090626 Ngô Thanh Vân, Johny Trí Nguyễn.jpg, the moment the file was tagges NPD was 04:15, and then it was deleted at 06:22, so that was... less than 3 hours. Hi Krd, Du hast u.a. File:Επισκοπή 3.jpg mit dem Kommentar No license since 21 September 2024 und viele weitere Dateien gelöscht. Wie ist das denn zu verstehen?

Diese und alle anderen betroffenden Dateien des Users hatten samt und sonders eine Lizenz. Deinen Löschgrund kann ich also nicht nachvollziehen.
Der antragstellende User (Εὐθυμένης (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log) block user) hatte wiederum per Baustein bemängelt: File has no source. Alle Dateien waren aber source={{own}}-Dateien. Auch diesen Löschgrund kann ich also nicht nachvollziehen.
Ich habe den User auf seiner Disk. aufgefordert, die Löschbausteine zu entfernen - Fehlanzeige.
Ich habe das Ganze auf Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/Blocks_and_protections/Archive_39#User:Εὐθυμένης angesprochen - ohne Reaktion.

Das Ergebnis ist jetzt, dass haufenweise korrekt lizenzierte Bilder gelöscht wurden. Ich finde das sehr unzufriedenstellend. Kannst Du in der Sache bitte weiterhelfen? Viele Grüße, Emha (talk) 13:22, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

Die betroffenen User war m.E. alle unbescholten. Ich weiß nicht, was Εὐθυμένης (der ja kein Neuling ist) hier geritten hat, aber ich ziehe die Löschung aller seiner per Massenlöschanträge betroffenen Dateien in Zweifel, weil schlicht der Löschgrund komplett inkorrekt ist.

Hätte er - wie ich ihn gebeten habe - die Anträge zurück gezogen, könnte man ganz in Ruhe darüber sprechen. User talk:Myhersonissos war nicht unbescholten (aber auch kein schwerer Fall). Leider ist das Kind im Brunnen, alle gelöschten Dateien einzeln durchzugehen ist eine Aufgabe für Tage und Wochen. Wenn Du einzelne Dateien hast, die man zweifelsfrei klären könnte, könnte man schauen, dann auch die anderen Uploads dieser jeweiligen Benutzer. Wirklich alles durchzusehen zöge wohl leider zu viel Kapazitäten von anderen Aufgaben ab.

Εὐθυμένης war in meinem Gedächtnis ein vertrauenswürdiger Mitarbeiter, bei dessen Anträgen nach nicht in vollem Detailgrad hinschauen musste. Das trifft wohl jetzt, vorsichtig formuliert, nicht mehr ganz zu. Sollten die Anträge in der Schlagzahl weiter kommen und nicht sinnvoll zusammengefasst werden, würde mich das stören. Was ich halt immer so schlimm finde: wenn dieser Bilder einmal gelöscht vom Delinker-Bot aus den Artikeln entfernt wurden, bringt sie niemand wieder zurück, selbst wenn sie hier wieder hergestellt wurden, oder?

Der Dateientlinkerbot ändert auch zurück, wenn es noch geht. Je länger es her ist, desto größer die Wahrscheinlichkeit von Konflikten. Wenn mehrere Bilder in einem Artikel betroffen sind, kommt es manchmal auch auf die Reihenfolge der Wiederherstellung an. Es ist halt kompliziert.

Das Commonsdelinker stellt nicht wieder her, und verlinkt auch leider das Bild nicht in der Zusammenfassung, was die Sache anstrengend macht. Immerhin hat er aber auch ein Log: https://commons-delinquent.toolforge.org/index.php Krd 05:55, 3 October 2024 (UTC)

Stijn van Cauter

Moin, Du hast eine Reihe Dateien von van Cauter gelöscht. Die Lizenz war für diese Dateien eigentlich mit dieser Diskussion geklärt. Da ich Commons nicht bespiele und van Cauter hier auch keine regelmäßige Nutzung vorweist, ist die Lösch-Androhung an mir sowie ihm vorbeigegangen (User talk:Svc nulll). Den Verlust der Dateien versteh ich nach der bestehenden Diskussion mit Behalten-Entscheidung nicht. Und ehrlicherweise ermüdet mich dieser bürokratische Akt in englischer Sprache. Gibt es etwas das ich tun kann um die Datein zu retten, war das ein Fehler, oder sollte ich die Dateien jetzt abschreiben? gefolgt von einem kleinen warum - das aber wirklich nur wenn Du Dich dazu motiviert fühlst? Commons:Lizenzen gibt da nämlich nach der bestehenden Diskussion keine Auskunft drüber warum es zur LÖschung kommt obwohl van Cauter beim Commons:Support-Team vorstellig war. Da kann ich nicht erkennen, ob die Person auf dem Bild oder der Fotograf dem Hochladen zugestimmt. Auch sind einige Fotos anscheinend bei internen Veranstaltungen aufgenommen. Es ist kompliziert, und deine Frage vermischt bereits völlig unterschiedliche Aspekte. Die Vorlage "no permission" soll verwendet werden, wenn die Angaben in der Dateiseite zweifelsfrei nicht zutreffen und auch eine Freigabe erforderlich ist. Reinstatement of image for which Commons permission now exists

Please revert this edit and reinstate this image: Runnicles, Lehman and WSoS Committee interview panel 24AUG2024.jpg

This was due to oversight. The photographer Alberto Massimo has now emailed Wikimedia Commons assigning permissions under CC 4.0. Ticket#2024102610006481

Krdbot no longer closing DRs?

Hi Krd:

I know Krdbot is supposed to automatically close deletion requests for deleted files if someone has not done so. However, the bot doesn't seem to have done this in a while. For example, the bot hasn't closed Commons:Deletion requests/File:March 2, 2012 Henryville, Indiana Tornado.jpg even though you deleted File:March 2, 2012 Henryville, Indiana Tornado.jpg almost 24 hours ago. The task is not discontinued, but it appears it does not always work. Additional examples welcome.

"Deleted: per nomination" as a (non-)explanation

Commons:Deletion requests/File:Vu Hoang My in Miss Sport at Miss World 2012.jpg: GoogleLens and TinEye did not yield an earlier prepublication of this shot, so what is really the deletion reason? I feel like you give the deletion reason as "Deleted: per nomination" too often when that doesn't really explain the deletion reason or is actually misleading. Here's another example: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Dedo pene gallery 04.jpg. You gave the same closing message, but what part of the deletion requester's reason did you actually think was a deletion reason? The first one was not deleted by me, I closed the DR afterwards as the file was already deleted.

I have no reason to doubt that, and there is no point in keeping the DR open when the file is deleted for that reason. Of course Yann could be mistaken, so feel free to ask them. A law can only be applied to an act that occurs after the law was adopted. The postcard is therefore not subject to the law. However, it is not a big deal (deletion), let it stay as it is. Dear Krd! I have seen that the Krdbot you are running shows the files I have added since September 2022 as "Ticket permission added by non-VRT member", which has not yet been checked by a VRT member.

In 2023, c:User:Ameisenigel checked the VRT ticket of my photos uploaded to c:Category:Photographs by Imre Vizler, for which I thank him! Now Tanbiruzzaman has drawn my attention to the fact that many of my uploaded photos do not have validated ticket numbers.

Please advise me what is the correct procedure for uploading, what to write in the Permission box (without VRT members having to look for the permission number given), and where to ask for occasional or possibly batch verification?

I don't want to burden only one VRT member with the task of assigning a permission number to many new images, because I plan to upload continuous these images to the Hungarian wikipedia aricles.

For the files relating to the mentioned ticket: They existing files are good, but it would be even better if we could replace the old license and ticket tags by the new template if that is easily achievable. For future uploads please use the new template only.

Korean TV logos

I notice that you deleted a large number of Korean TV logos back in January 2024. (see history here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Munhwa_Broadcasting_Corporation&action=history). These were deleted as no permission, but many seem to have had {{PD-textlogo}} tags and I believe they do fall under COM:TOO South Korea. Do you mind if I undelete them? Thanks. Krd, you should update deletion request threads when you delete a file the same day another admin rules that it should be kept. I feel like you are sometimes pretty lax in how you deal with deletion requests. The file wasn't deleted the same day but a week later, complete within the no-licence process, because it didn't have any license for more than 7 days. Perhaps you could say the DR shouldn't have been closed as kept when the file wasn't licensed, but at least I am not going to say that, as it is a discussion that leads to nothing productive. Hi, good question. At first, the "© 2024" is no problem, as the images are copyrighted even with CC. The question is if there is an unresolved contradiction in the explicit "All rights reserved" and the CC license. I personally think that the CC license wins, but I'm not a lawyer, and I cannot say there will be no problems. At least I can say that I wouldn't delete such uploads without further arguments. Template:GL workshop

Kdr, Last couple days me and User:Kontributor 2K are chasing all over Template:Image generation code to see what changed that would cause sudden influx of files in Category:Pages with script errors, all calling {{Image generation|gw}} or some alias of it. It looks like that although Template:GL workshop is not used anymore that template's language subtemplates still are.
