This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.


Report disputes with users that require administrator assistance. Further steps are listed at resolve disputes.


Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

B4U Logo Sock Farm

There is a sock farm currently evading global locks to upload B4U logos here. They appear most recently to be centred around Bakelmuhammad0, though doubtless pre-date that editor.

Is there a technical mechanism that admins would wish to deploy to seek to prevent this set of disposable SPAs from spawning yet another SPA to circumvent global locks, please? If so, please just deploy it silently, no need to place the result here. @Timtrent: Sockpupetters can be blocked for abusing multiple accounts. A request for check user can be done for blocking the range and sleeper accounts. If the files have no copyright issue and are in use, we usually keep them. Could you please be more specific about the abuse? Yann (talk) 10:14, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Yann Repetitive upload of B4U... logos, usually duplicating existing files. There appears to be some form of campaign going on. I happened across these as an enwiki w:en:WP:AFC reviewer encountering the sock farm with various BFU drafts as adverts etc. Not sure how much more specific you need? 🇺🇦 Timtrent 🇺🇦 talk to me 🇺🇦 13:02, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request unprotection

I would like to request unprotection of File:BlankMap-World.svg and all the blank derivatives of this map. The thing is that the current script of this file, even if hidden, includes the borders of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) which no longer exist as a separate entity since 2023. I have previously done a job of editing the derivatives of this file, correcting the borders, but finally noticed that the issue might the the blank version(s) of this map that needs to be updated.
