Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 11:23, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

White margins are there for a reason
[edit]Files like File:N.A.Naidenov (1884). Views of Moscow. 58. Anglican.png were uploaded with margins for a reason:
- margins contain the year when Naidenov took the photograph. This is critical in some cases, when there's more then one photo of the same subject. Publication year alone is insufficient (and sometimes misleading)
-
1882 (pub.1883)
-
1888 (pub.1891)
- margins contain the original name of the place (which can be quite different from present-day name, cf. description in File:Church of Resurrection near Danilov Monastery full.png).
Please if there's a need for a cropped or downscaled version, upload it under a different name and link both cropped and original together (cf. File:Church of Resurrection near Danilov Monastery full.png and File:Church of Resurrection near Danilov Monastery crop.png). This, of course, applies to any photo stock with "inconvenient" but historical text, someone's handwriting (the Bains Collection) etc.
Same with all trim and retouching jobs - edits to File:Voznesensky 8-5 May 2009 1200px.jpg were too radical to be pasted on top of the source file. They need a different file name. BTW, the photo was made half an hour before sunset - it had to be dark to be realistic. NVO (talk) 17:49, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Warner Theater
[edit]Hi, I've been emptying Category:Movie theaters since it is a duplicate of Category:Cinemas. There was a Category:Warner Theatre, Erie, Pennsylvania so I put the pictures you took in there but now I'm not sure if they are actually the same theater. Could you please have a look? --IIVeaa (talk) 21:13, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

[edit]I changed the coordinates on File:Tafts Lincoln the Lawyer.JPG because the coordinates appeared to have been over a spot two houses from the statue. Thanks for the complement on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania pics
[edit]I had made a bunch of random pictures on a bike ride last fall and then realized that a couple fit into the page. That inspired me to go out and hunt down some more. Didn't realize till later that you (Smallbones) had done so much. Really a nice project you created. Had admired the File:Worth J Rural HD Chesco.JPG picture the first time I saw it. It really is an idyllic spot. Will see if I can get another shot in the spring (often ride past it or hike in Stroud Preserve which it borders). Looks like you did a thorough job of covering West Chester. And the Philly statues are great. Hoping to make it to the Philly wiknic this year. Be nice to meet.

Adding categories to my pictures?
[edit]Uh oh...I haven't been adding categories to my pictures. I wasn't aware this was something to be done, and I'm not sure how to go about doing it either. Where and how do I enter the information, and how do I know what categories are available to assign to a given picture file? By the way, in my travels through Evanston this weekend I took quite a few more to add to National_Register_of_Historic_Places_listings_in_Evanston,_Illinois, but I'll refrain until I can figure out how to categorize properly. Thshriver (talk) 01:43, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
- So, is the general idea with categories to make them as specific as possible without overlapping? I really had no idea which ones to include in the list, so I took a few shots in the dark. And yes, feel free to edit away, I'm not offended at all. This is all very much over my head and I don't really understand it. Thshriver (talk) 03:06, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Autopatrol given
[edit]Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. odder (talk) 11:45, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Problem
[edit]Hey Smallbones,
I had a problem, and since this is the first time I've used a wiki of any kind and you were nice enough to provide that info about monuments I thought to ask you. On the list of Historic places for Monongalia County, West Virginia, the post photo link for the Chancery Historic District is only a picture, not an actual link to post photos and I didn't know how to change that or if I even could. Is there anything that can be done, cause I have some great photos of the district. Thank you. - Stryker33 (talk) 10:50, 05 Sept 2012 (UTC)

RE: African American Vicksburg sculpture
[edit]Hi Smallbones.
I hope this is the correct place to respond to you. Thanks for locating the sculptor of the monument. I agree all art displayed in a natinal park should be public. I tried to answer by using the "contact us" section. Not sure if you saw my comment or not. I wanted to place these pictures I uploaded in the I love Monuments contest but accidentally uploaded using the regular wizard. Does it make a difference? If so how can I correct it. I am new at Wiki uploading but have used the information many times in the past It is a great site.

- Unfortunately, that statue of William Penn is by Frank Gaylord, who vigorously enforces his copyright for his work. Since U.S. law does not recognize an exemption under panorama (e.g., copyrighted works included as part of a larger panoramic image), I fear the Penn statue cannot be depicted. - Tim1965 (talk) 20:25, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
- no, i fear you are mistaken. vigorously, lol, you mean he succumbed to the siren call of a contingency fee lawyer? (and got his just deserts) panorama? - see Commons:De minimis, but i see smallbone's crop makes the point nicely. also since it's 1982, it could be public domain, if no notice, published in newspaper, and not registered within 5 years [11]; see Template:PD-US-1978-89. apparantly not registered [12] Slowking4⇔ †@1₭ 15:04, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 - Old State House, Boston, Massachusetts, USA
[edit]Hello Smallbones, I hope this is the proper venue to contact you. My girlfriend is a representative of The Bostonian Society, the organization that maintains Boston's Old State House, and she stumbled upon this very interesting contest. She asked if I would reach out to someone involved with the proper team to ask if there was a way that the Old State House can aid or somehow officially recognize this contest and encourage its visitors to participate. I apologize, this request isn't very well-worded, but if you could reply here at your earliest convenience, I would most certainly appreciate it. [edit]I am not sure if I am in the right place to respond to your request from the general page on the Monument contest. My question had to do with a photo I uploaded to general commons by mistake as I was trying to contribute to the collection of photos from the list of NHR for Monroe county Fl. My user name is capedoryus and the image I deleted was Armory. I tried to link the photo to the contest but could not so I deleted the photo to enter the photo in the contest. The concept of a contest is not important but I would like to have the photo in the NHR listing. (NHR National Historic Register) Thanks for all the work you do.
Thanks! Saw some of the other local photos and was in awe of all your pics. Keep up the great work! I take pics in chambana mostly for use as skins in 3d models for Google Earth. I thought some might come in handy for the monument project. Narasinha (talk) 15:25, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

- I'd have to say it's part of the architecture, see File:Spink tomb West Laurel Hill.JPG. Probably pre-1900 (cemetery opened 1869, but doesn't put dates on the tombs). Despite what William Penn might tell you, ever since the WMF opinion came out, I always look for copyright notices. Never run into one yet in a cemetery. See the *West* Laurel Hill category. Smallbones (talk) 22:33, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- i guess i'm spoiled by adams memorial; siris is so extensive, it's remarkable when they don't have it. could be under the different name. i would say it has some artistic merit beyond generic figure, this could be paul manship.
- i'm with you, the sculptors don't much care, even Frank Gaylord didn't register, it's just that the rules changed the presumption. and people take the last installation as publication rather than first. (another lost argument here [27]); so now we have to get emailed permission; hard to see the point. i think i got most of the sculpture "monuments", even the http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Alby_Gallatin.JPG (very polite sculptor).
- and it's not that they can't shoot gaylord, it's just put it on flickr, and pick one for "non-free" english wikipedia. (starting with the one there - we could refight "minimize fair use" <sigh> ). Slowking4⇔ †@1₭ 21:48, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Uploads in the deadline
[edit]Hello Peter,
I was contacted by a little turtle which couldn't get two files [30] [31] inside the contest in time, for a difference of less than a couple of minutes. She apparently started the submission a little before the deadline but finished after it. See my talk her talk.
IMHO we should accept them as valid submissions, but I don't feel I should be taking that decision, so wanted to check with a WLM-US organiser first.
Best regards

Picture of the Year voting round 1 open
[edit]Dear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:
- Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
- This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
- Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.
To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons
Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Please answer my Question
[edit]Hi there my friend! I have a Question and need an answer as soon as possible. I'm translating all NFL teams wiki articles to Arabic wiki, can I use their logos to put on the Arabic wiki or not? b/c it says that the team's logos are all under COPY RIGHTS? ... for example, can I use this logo File:San Diego Chargers logo.svg in the team's Arabic wiki article or not (without creating any problems for myself)? And can I use the NFL logo on the Arabic wiki article? --- I'll be waiting for your answers, Thank you very much! --Qrhoo (talk) 04:49, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not an expert, especially about the Arabic Wiki. Each Wiki has its own rules. In the English Wiki, I think this is acceptable under the "fair use" exception to copyright, but "fair use" images are not acceptable on Commons. Possible solution: copy the logos from the English Wikipedia to the Arabic and use them there, if fair use is acceptable on the Arabic Wiki. Another possible angle: SOME of the logos may be out of copyright, e.g. the Bears and the Packers may have started using them in the early 1920's so the copyright has run out. Or other teams may have forgotten to renew the copyright. But it's very likely that any team's logo from after 1960 would have a copyrighted logo. So in short, go by the Arabic Wiki's rules. Copyright status: File:Mets Malle Babbe.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Mets Malle Babbe.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

No FOP for 3D sculptures installed in the US after 1977
[edit]- There is just no Freedom of Panorama (FOP) for sculptures in the USA for sculptures and 3D art works installed after 1977 according to US copyright law. That is why This image was deleted from Commons and placed here on wikipedia on a non-free fair use claim instead. This image of artifacts at the Vietnam memorial was also deleted.
- In contrast, a Vietnam Memorial artwork remains used on Commons. Why? Because at the base of the artwork is the statement that it was created and installed in 1976--thereby meeting US FOP laws that 3D artworks and sculptures are copyright free if they are installed by the end of 1977. However, if you do have permission from the sculptor itself, then I imagine the image may be kept. I will give you the benefit of the doubt, however. Regards, --Leoboudv (talk) 08:24, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yes there is explicit permission from the sculptor for anybody to photograph the sculpture. Smallbones (talk) 12:26, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Wrong venue mate
[edit]en:Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Blocked_admin_meatpuppeting_to_block_account.28s.29_here.3F is the wrong venue buddy. If you have an issue with me on Commons, the correct venue is COM:AN/U, not en:WP:AN/I. And if you decide to take the issue to COM:AN/U here, then you best be sure that you have your facts straight, because if you don't shit can boomerang right back at you; particularly when one looks at that thread you are setting yourself up for it looking like cross-wiki harassment. So go ahead, and do what you think needs to be done, but please don't talk shit about me on a project which is totally irrelevant to the issue at hand. russavia (talk) 03:39, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Namechanges
[edit]First, I'd like to thank you for being polite and reasonable. Second, I'd like to apologize for the factual Hall/Mall error - mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I genuinely believed that you had made a spelling mistake, and took advantage of what I thought was a needed correction to make the name more precise and -- this part is important -- less ambiguous.
My philosophy on filenames is that they should be as precise as is necessary for them to be informative and unambiguous, so as to facilitate use by humans. You may find these talkpage posts (from April 2013) to be informative; the tone is slightly more hostile than our current exchange, because it's a response to a mildly hostile message. Can you please fix the licencing of this photo, and any other images of this statue that you have uploaded, as it should be licenced under CC-BY-SA-3.0 and GFDL at the very least. You can't release it under CC-0 given Thomas Marsh's release. If you are not sure how this should be licenced and attributed, then feel free to drop me a line and I will be glad to help. Thanks, russavia (talk) 02:20, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- I've released my photo CC0. If you think that the license is otherwise incorrect, please ask another admin to fix it, but you should stay as far away as possible from any image of this statue, given your previous actions with it.
If I was unclear above, let me be precise. Stay off of my talk page. Smallbones (talk) 03:30, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, you can not release your photo as CC0, because this goes against the CC-BY-SA and GFDL licence. In regards to the CC licence that Thomas Marsh has authorised for photos of the statue to be made available under. If you peruse the [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ CC-BY-SA-3.0 licence, the important part of this is:
ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
- What this means, is that you have to licence the photo under the same licence. Now, you are able to waive your right to be attributed as part of this licence, but you are not able to release the photo into the public domain using CC0.
- Does this make sense to you? Would you like some help in fixing the licencing requirements on this photo? I am full bottle on the licences, so am happy to help you with this, if you so desire. russavia (talk) 04:29, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- Quit hassling me and stay off this page. Smallbones (talk) 04:36, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- Smallbones, you have to understand that this issue can't be ignored, and it is indeed an issue. I am happy to fix the licencing, as I have stated a few times, but I need to know without a shadow of a doubt whether you wish to waive your right to attribution. If this is the case, please affirm that here and, again, I will be happy to fix the licencing. russavia (talk) 05:43, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- Already fixed by @Jkadavoor. Thanks, Jee! odder (talk) 10:24, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Actually, Russavia is half right. The file must have a CC-BY-SA license for the sculptor's copyright because that is what he gave us. It can have a CC-0 or CC-BY-SA for the photographer's copyright. As it stands now, attribution is required for the sculpture, but no attribution is required for the photograph, which is, I think, the way you want it. . Jim . . . . Dear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 2 will end on 7 March 2014. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Commons:Picture_of_the_Year/2013/Introduction/en Click here to learn more and vote »]

NRHP refnum
[edit]A minor issue. In a few cases, when adding refnums to images, in particular to Klotz images, you've been adding either a leading colon or trailing bracket, for example, in File:ROMANTA T. MILLER HOUSE, WHEATFIELD, MONROE COUNTY.jpg and File:EDGERLEY,_LIVINGSTON_COUNTY.jpg. This shows the number on the displayed page correctly, but causes the NRHP template to add the hidden category National Register of Historic Places without known IDs. Apparently no website, but facebook account says "Westminster Presbyterian was started in 1869 as a mission to the working people living in north York. What is your basis for saying this is pre-1923? Edward Caswell did a lot of drawings of Greenwich Village, but mostly (as far as I know) in the 1930s and '40s. To my (admittedly inexpert) eye, this doesn't even look particularly like early Caswell, especially by the way he handled the background at upper left. - Jmabel ! talk 23:41, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- Moved from User talk:Jmabel to keep conversation in one place. - Jmabel ! talk 01:00, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- This postcard is from the collections of the Presbyterian Historical Society. I am scanning these postcards for them with copies going to Commons. These collections are almost all pre-WWII. They want to be sure that they are not releasing copyrighted works, so my instructions are to use my judgement to scan pre-1923 cards. Perhaps I made a mistake here (1 mistake out of 800 scans is certainly possible) on the pre-1923 part. But as far as the the "not being copyrighted" part, there is no mistake. With 3 or 4 exceptions (not this card) none of the cards have a copyright mark, all have been published in the US, and almost all are pre-WWII. Which adds up that this card, if not pre-1923, is public domain by being published without a copyright mark (in the US, before 1976). If you'd like to change the reason stated for being out of copyright - please go ahead. I'll talk with the PHS people about this the next time I see them, but my guess is that they won't care - the reason the cutoff standard was set so strictly was that a few minor mistakes are bound to be made when so many cards are scanned. I can check the meta data if you'd like, but my recollection was that this had a 1 cent stamp and illegible postmark, no copyright mark (of course) on either side.
- End Moved - Jmabel ! talk 01:00, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- That makes sense. I didn't have a batch to look at, just one image with a date I didn't believe. - Jmabel ! talk 01:00, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
LOVE Picture
[edit]Good Evening, my name is Nassir Nixon. I am working on creating shirts for a group i am in, and i was wondering if i could use the picture of the LOVE sculpture in NEW YORK, City. I won't be able to make the shirts without your consent. It would be greatly appreciated if you gave me the consent to use the picture to add to my design. I look forward to hearing from you.
- Hi, thanks for the interest. Could you give me the file name? I couldn't find it, and I don't remember taking that picture in NYC. I do remember taking similar pictures in Philadelphia, but I couldn't find them either! Almost always, I make my photos "Public Domain" or CC-0, which is the same thing - anybody can use them for anything, without even asking. There might be a small complication with this photo however. If you could click on the "Email this user" link in the left hand column (under "Tools") I can fill you in, IF you give me the file name.
- Sincerely,
- Smallbones (talk) 23:58, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
Hey, maybe it's my computer but the link "email this user" is appearing for me under tools.

JOHN D. HART HOUSE, MERCER COUNTY, NJ.jpg
[edit]Do you or user:KLOTZ know what file:JOHN D. HART HOUSE, MERCER COUNTY, NJ.jpg is of or where it was taken? It was marked as NRHP 72000800, but according to nomination photo and nomination it should be a small clapboard house. Also, the description in the nomination doesn't match the one on the nomination, John D Hart is a presumed nephew of the declaration signer, and not the signer. Any thoughts? In the mean time, I've removed the tag to keep it from getting misapplied to a list. Generic1139 (talk) 20:20, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

- Thank you for the information. I'm a Geographer and have several thousand photos of various places I've worked over the years. Many are on 35mm slides till about 5 years ago, and I catalog them by place/date. Allentown is my hometown and I was just sorting all the images out and cataloging them into some orderly manner. I was unaware there were 25 million images on Commons, so I can see your point. I'll stick to cataloging as I go along then. Connor7617 (talk) 18:53, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. 1924 Arch Street
[edit]Thank you for your photographs of the Francis McIlvain house at 1924 Arch Street. It was at the time (I believe 2014) on the National Register of Historic Places in Philadelphia. It was subsequently torn down to make way for something modern. Francis McIlvain and his brother owned an Iron Foundry at 8th and Washington in Philadelphia. He was related by marriage to my great great grandfather Lt. William Gelston who died in our nation's civil war. Francis became guardian for the 6 Gelston orphan children (the mother Emma died of cholera) several of whom lived at 1924 Arch Street. Even though the house is gone the picture means a lot to me. Thank you so much. :-) 216.212.124.207 04:35, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Smallbones. I am interested in having you take another photograph of this house like the one you posted but without snow. It is for a book that is to be published. How could I arrange that with you? Domestic detritus (talk) 17:24, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2023 voting is open!
[edit]Dear Wikimedian,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2023 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighteenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2023) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 1 will end on UTC.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee
