- The image description says that it's the family coat of arms of the family "Dorfner". The Wikipedia text says that a guy called Andreas Dorfner bought the brewery in 1817, so it is _very_ likely that family coa is at least that old and thus PD. PaterMcFly (talk) 09:19, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

Whatever the age of the general design, per Commons:Coats of arms, each drawing can have its own copyright. This one appears to be extracted from an existing drawing, such as one in this PDF. Bitmap version of the same on this web page (direct image here). This was either vectorized from that drawing and is a derivative work, or (more likely) extracted from a PDF somewhere, given that tiny details seem to match up. - Delete. I googled logo Hirschau, and I got a hit for the Commons image and for https://seeklogo.com/vector-logo/470976/schlossbrauerei-hirschau . The seeklogo has an SVG version. I downloaded it; it came as a ZIP file; the contents of the ZIP file is 301 kB (and has date 1/10/2024 -- after the Commons upload). I did not see any metadata in the files.

I did find https://schlossbrauerei-hirschau.de/brauerei/bilder-datenbank/ (picture databank). It has a modern logo, some bottles with the CoA on the label, and says

Sorry, but being included at Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 winners#Rwanda is not a way to ignore sculptor's copyright. Rwanda does not provide commercial Freedom of Panorama. This image is found on Westchester County Association and Latimer's Campaign Twitter among other sites. The Daily Mail attributed the image to Latimer's FaceBook page. - It is very sad that you want to delete such pictures. I visited Rwanda and thought it was very important to document the memory of the genocide. What needs to be done is to act through the community of Wikipedians in Rwanda and give them a chance to appeal to their government, to amend the law. Years ago I uploaded photos of the Armenian Genocide memorial site. The photos were also deleted. But the community in Armenia worked to amend the law and the photos were restored. - Keep. The woman in this photo seems considerably heavier than any of the others in the gallery. Remember, the purpose of these images is not really porn, but as an educational resource, and with so many people being heavier nowadays, this is one of the most relevant photos we have. - Commons does not exist to provide images for encyclopaedias, we have a much wider remit to provide media for any sort of educational use. Let us accept that having images of breasts is within our remit (some are in use, so automatically are within scope). Then clearly, we better serve our audience if we provide a wide array of images to choose from, from a wide array of people of different body types. - I do not think that someone should have an image of them taken in a probably private location of them nude with out their knowledge and uploaded EVEN with their face obscured, later. Think stalker. Think disgruntled ex-boyfriend/husband/think peeping tom. This image is just not so important or great in quality that we risk introducing an image of an unsuspecting person to the world forever! If no, then why is this image different? Second, if you pose naked in front of a camera you know that image exists and may end up hither and yon. That said, if consensus is to keep it because we don't have enough pictures of naked fat chicks, that's fine. But let's be level-headed about it. If you're creeped out that a nudie pick of you might get out into the world, then don't take any nudie pictures... it's as simple as that. - I didn't suggest she was the uploader. Women normally don't get their jollies by disseminating stuff like this. Usually it's men. I sort of figured it was her husband or boyfriend who took the pictures and at some point uploaded them. All she did was let him take the pictures. My point was that she was probably aware the pictures were being taken. I might also mention that a close look at this picture shows her eyes are closed. - Well, we have two discussions going on here.. the first is the photo as it relates to Commons policy. On that count it seems a reasonable case can be made to keep it (with the face blurred). If you think Commons policy should be changed or strengthened in this area then I would encourage you to pursue it. (though pursuing it in this deletion request probably won't get you very far) If you do pursue it, you'll probably have the support of other editors if you propose reasonable and workable changes. The other discussion is a much broader one... whether and how a person has the right to control pictures taken of them generally. I don't know where the law is on that subject, but I'd imagine it can get complicated depending on the circumstances so I'll avoid that discussion other than to repeat what I mentioned earlier... the reality is nude pictures have a way of making the rounds whether we want them to or not. Kept: The rationales provided by User:Wnt and User:Mattbuck are not only convincing but are both within policy and within the scope of the remit of Commons. As a provider of educational materials, it would be a traversty for Commons to delete photos of a pair of boobs simply because other photos exist. This female is clearly a larger sized woman, and as the world at large is not made up entirely of size 6 women with perky breasts, it would be amiss for Commons to delete files such as this, when there is clearly an educational scope. Ideally, it would be better for us to have a photo of a large woman standing upright with her non-perky breasts again being the focus of the image, but this is not the case, so we on Commons provide the materials for ALL projects, in case a project such as, for example, German Wikipedia wishes to utilise it on articles, and the like. russavia (talk) 09:38, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
The previous deletion request, more than 12 years ago, raised concerns about the subject not having consented. Some comments rightly pointed out that such concerns do not magically disappear just because the face is obscured.
The previous deletion request also ignored some important claims made by the uploader:

[edit]I am proposing several of the uploaded images from Ali Mujtaba because the images metadata are outlining terms that are not in accordance with CC 4.0 International (or CC 3.0 Unported, which he used in the earliest uploads). Text examples include:
- "Any attempt to use, copy, modify, for personal and/or commercial means is strictly prohobited. No permission shall be given to anyone to utilize or distribute this photo unless authorized by the owner in consideration for a settled amount of fee. In any case, the original copyright shall be held by the original author/photographer of this particular photograph. Failing to comply with the terms and conditions setforth shall invite legal consequences to be dealt with according to the law." (sometimes however this gets followed by "You are free to use this image. It's, however, humbly requested to please give credit to the original author of this image when using it in any of your projects." --> so I will assume that the copyright info may have been inserted into the uploads by accident)
- "it may not be used, reproduced, altered and/or distributed through any channel/medium without prior express writtern permission from the author."
- " it may not be used, reproduced, altered and/or distributed in return for monetary gains.
Statements like those are incompatible with the Creative Commons license, which is why I am requesting the deletion here.
I do hope however that Ali Mujtaba is going to answer in this DR with a statement that the usage terms in the metadata were not meant to be applied to the Commons Uploads (why else would the other half of the uploads not have them: those are all pictures just as great!), and that he can remove the prohibitive metadata texts himself or will ask an admin to do so. I am also going to mail @ Ali's provided adress.

Per their website's legal notice, Information made available on the Japan Meteorological Agency website (hereinafter referred to as "Content") may be freely used, copied, publicly transmitted, translated or otherwise modified on condition that the user complies with provisions 1) to 7) below. Commercial use of Content is also permitted. Provisions 1 through 7 allow derivative and commercial use, and note that it is based on {{GJSTU-2.0}} and is compatible with {{Cc-by-4.0}}. While this 1927 German film poster is in the public domain in the US, we cannot assume it is as well in Germany. There is apparently no artist's signature (the sign on the left is that of the printer) and no artist seems to be known. However, that does not mean we can treat this as an anonymous work under German law, because pre-mid 1995 German works of the bildende Künste, like this one, cannot be anonymous or pseudonymous works because the old German copyright law, still relevant in these cases, said so. See Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Germany#Anonymous and pseudonymous works. So the file should be deleted. It can be restored in 2048 with {{PD-old-assumed-expired}}. Image taken from a news article from UNLP and they state the photo was provided by Comunidad Homosexual Argentina. However, it doesn't state when and where it was first published. Without the first publication date we cannot verity it is in the public domain in Argentina and without the original publication we cannot verify it is in the public domain in the US. Info @Günther Frager {{PD-AR-Photo}} says "20 years since publication" [Per 11.723/2009 Article 34: "For photographic works, the duration of the right of ownership shall be 20 years from the date of first publication"]. The 25 years clause applies also for photographs, but that clause begins from the creation of the photograph. This file, if published in September 1973 as the source claims, it might be in fact in the public domain in January 1994, 2 years before the URAA restoration. - @Billinghurst I never claimed it was the first publication. I pointed out that if that was the source they provided, and it cannot be used to assert they are in the domain. If the uploader claims {{PD-AR-Photo}} applies, then they should provide an early publication that supports their claim. On the second photo, it states Diego Mazzieri, author of the book, is the photographer and licensed it under CC0. That is completely bogus, Diego Mazzieri was not even born at the beginning of the 1970s. Most of the photos published after 1971 in Argentina are still copyrighted in the US, the only exceptions are simultaneous publications without a copyright notice, but without a proper publication date it is impossible to set an undeletion date, something I always try to do in my DRs.
- I run a reverse image search. The first image only points to Wikipedia and a recent news article (probably they took the image from here). - DragonflySixtyseven Thanks for hunting that down, and that settles it. A private photo album of unpublished vintage photos doesn't meet the creative commons standard. Without evidence of a pre-1929 publication, and it being by an unknown author we have to use a "PD-OLD" license which means the work must be 120 years old to be considered in the public domain. The image can't be assumed to be older than a 120 years. Based on the length of the skirts, my guess is 1920s as women didn't wear skirts above the ankle in the 1900s and 1910s. This is definitely 1920s/1930s women's fashion. I think we have to assume it's still copyrighted.4meter4 (talk) 05:26, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

- Delete Per reason given by @Elisfkc: at its argument in 2016 "Disney owns the copyright for this logo, as is recognized on English Wikipedia with the registration number being VA0001927957 and such registration can be seen here." However, for me, if the logo didn't registered for copyright by the U.S. Copyright Office and having just 2D logo (unless it also registered by USCO), this image cannot be deleted.
