In addition, I noticed that you've made malformed deletion requests. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than using the automatic Nominate for deletion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar per COM:DR#Starting requests), please remember to follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 12:12, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see any nominate for deletion option for categories (but I do for files)? How do I request a category deletion? I've tried again here [1] but I don't think it's quite right.TimSC (talk) 15:46, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You could at least follow the directions. You didn't in this edit.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 13:05, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Specifically what directions? I'm finding this confusing. TimSC (talk) 04:49, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
From my POV, you have yet to use {{subst:delete2}}.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 15:36, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thx I'll try to use that in future. TimSC (talk) 18:01, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Category:Plaques in Southsea has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Portsmouth cats

[edit]

Thanks for your ongoing work on Pompey categories, especially pubs! I have a lot more Portsmouth photos I need to upload, which I really must get round to... Cheers, Hassocks5489 (talk) 20:41, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @Hassocks5489 :) I'm uploaded from my photostream when I think it will be a contribution. That usually triggers the need for a bit of category work! TimSC (talk) 22:55, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Duke of Buckingham pub

[edit]

I hadn't realised it was a goner! Good job I photographed it when I did, I suppose. Thanks for updating the cat. PS I'm enjoying your drone photos of Pompey and surroundings. Cheers, Hassocks5489 (talk) 21:10, 27 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad to hear that :) TimSC (talk) 03:20, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cut & paste move

[edit]

Hello!

Please don't make any cut & paste move as you did when you moved Category:Views of Ships in Portsmouth Harbour from the Spinnaker Tower to Category:Views of Ships in Portsmouth Harbour from Spinnaker Tower. Use the move function instead next time. Jonteemil (talk) 15:18, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
