Both files have the Oberegg district of Appenzeller Innerrhoden shown as in the anti-Sonderbund alliance, which is inaccurate - the entire canton presumably remained neutral, not just the five southern districts. The image that they are based on (File:Sonderbund.png) correctly marks the two parts of the district that are big enough to be seen on the map as neutral (it's been updated more recently by the creator). I want to make updates in the files listed below, because Armenian is no longer spoken over a territory in Azerbaijan since 2023, after the flight of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians and the collapse of the breakawayRepublic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Republic of Artsakh) in 2023. (The maps lumped together, have the same design and color pattern.) No Indo-European language is spoken on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh anymore. Those are the last maps left, that need to be updated reflecting the current situation on the territory of Azerbaijan since 2023.
Allow overwriting of File:All-China Sports Federation Logo.svg
The original file has a number of substandard color schemes, shape details, and is oversized. I have redrawn a more standard version based on larger images containing the logo of the All-China Sports Federation and the standard colors of the flag of the People's Republic of China, so I would like to overwrite the original file. The original file has thicker borders and some areas even have doubling borders, it also lacks many disputes and fails to show the entirety of the eastern pacific and more. I'd like to make some minor fixes (a few countries with the wrong status/colour) in File:Switzerland-ukraine-peace-summit-signed.svg. The Commons talk page for this file currently appears constructive. While the general topic is a contentious topic on en.Wikipedia, there's not much reason for the particular image - a map with colours based on external sources - to become controversial. Well, the pictured person (Nurul Amin) died in 1974, but the picture was taken when he was vice president which was between 1971 and 1973, I would assume 1972 is the best guess. Now that the "final" version of this progress map has been uploaded, I would like to correct its encoding. This image is currently encoded as RGBA, which is dumb and unnecessary, because the image is completely opaque. Storing any alpha information in the image therefore serves no purpose other than to inflate the filesize larger than it needs to be. I can certainly delete the svg, but I'm not going to allow an overwrite to the other SVG because your version is so visually different. This is not a judgement on quality, you could always replace usage of the other SVG yourself. But if you still want to delete, I'll add the speedy deletion tag. In my opinion, vector-based graphics like SVGs or PNGs should be rendered at pretty high resolutions if they're going to be provided as PNGs here as well. In addition, they should be rendered using vector graphics software (like Inkscape) rather than screenshotted, as screenshotting can introduce ClearType discolorations and image resolution limited to the size of your monitor. I believe I have located the original PDF source on the Atari Wiki. I have rendered a new 16000x10105 image of this PDF. I would like to upload this new render. This file is currently encoded as 24-bits-per-pixel RGB. However, there are only 132 distinct colors present in the image. This means we can use an 8-bits-per-pixel Palette mode encoding. This is map of all cases of Polio detected in 2024 and as such needs to be updated as cases in new countries are detected. There are 3 countries currently missing (Angola, Ethiopia and Niger) - I've prepared an updated image including these countries but cannot overwrite the original (although it has already been updated twice!). This map is a composite of various individual state results, and the data for New York at the time added to the national map were preliminary excluding intentionally blanked ballots. The infobox for the Wikipedia:2024 New York Democratic presidential primary page uses the final certified total, and I have created a revised version of the national map to reflect this. I would like to change this image of my family coat of arms, which was made by someone I don't know. The problem is that there is a mistake. The "chevron" (the part in the shape of an inverted V) should not be gold (yellow) but silver (white) as recorded in the French national archives. I've put links to these archives in the discussion section of the file in question. I'd also like to be able to add a few details to the file name, such as that it's a coat of arms from the First Empire (given that another coat of arms from another period is also on the wikicommons).

The issue is not the name of the file, but the outdated logo being indexed by Google, causing media to use the old version for the last 2 years. The logo is identical, with only a color change. This is the only available free image that I know of. And it is small, and it is not sharp. Any editing of it will just make it smaller, and less sharp. And I don't see what purpose it would serve on the dozens of articles worldwide it is on. If there is some particular image use requiring a certain specific aspect ratio, I think it should be uploaded as a separate file. By the way, my favorite image gallery method is here:

The purpose: precisely because the image has been embedded dozens of times (and has thankfully been replaced!), the exact same aspect ratio helps to change the design of the articles that used the old image as little as possible; and without need to fix the link to a new image. In articles it doesn't matter because they are mostly right-aligned images. Text flows around them. It doesn't matter in infoboxes either. They set the image width. So the 2 images may have a small difference in height. That doesn't matter in infoboxes. That mainly leaves galleries, and most galleries are not trying to have perfectly aligned tops and bottoms as in the gallery on your user page. The same version of this file in English is correct: File:Phase-diag2.svg. Türkiye should be coloured in red in this map. Turkish public schools teach British English and BrE is the standard for all official documents. In all documents, ministry names are written with BrE. It's slightly silly, but I'd like to throw my hat in the ring of the last few contributions to this image. I wish Avayak and Rhapsody Scarlet had mentioned what optimization methods/tools/algorithms they used in the last two uploads, but they didn't. All I really know is I can actually beat their score. My usual optimization workflow is to take the image and run it through OxiPNG followed by ZopfliPNG. I went back to the last version by CyberShadow and ran it through my workflow today. It came out looking exactly the same (which is the point, all of my optimizations are supposed to be lossless, so they don't change how the image looks), and I managed to shrink it to 219 KB. The actual logo color is light-blue and not black. This was discussed and approved in User_talk:Xi_Knight/archives_1#RTA. Not done At full-resolution the retouched version is noticeably more blurry in the dark areas. It also introduces new artifacts in certain areas (black spotting in the lighter area in the bottom right) and it half-erased the cracks in the paint, which is especially noticeable on her face and hands. Some Heartbrand logos in 2023 has putting heart shape inside the symbol and letters. The 2003 logos have symbols and letters like the 1998. Ola has a blank space and the logo on the file, becuase only logos have no blank space, but the change their logo with the heart shape inside. Wall's is the first brand to have the heart shape inside. Well, you can see the "star" do not have a clear center point. The eight triangles (four blue and four white) should each have an angle towards a point, right in the center. This image is currently encoded as 32-bits-per-pixel RGBA. This is rather stupid, as the image is only comprised of the following 7 colors: , , , , , , and . This is few enough colors that it's possible to re-encode the image in 4-bits-per-pixel Palette mode. In addition, the image's borders are horridly uneven. It has 5 pixels of padding on the top, 16 on the bottom, 120 on the left, and 231 on the right. I've created a version with the border corrected to 16 pixels of padding on all sides. This image is currently encoded in 8-bits-per-pixel Palette mode. This was an apt choice, as the image is only comprised of 71 distinct colors. However, whatever program was used to encode the image previously must have been pretty lazy. It likely didn't spend much time looking for the optimal row filtering combination, probably in the interest of outputting the image quickly. I ran the image through OxiPNG and ZopfliPNG, and while they didn't change the encoding type, they did manage to shrink the file to 177 KB. That's less than half of the original file size. Firstly, three station was officially renamed, and it was changed on the map (Varshavska, Zvirynetska and Ploscha Ukrainskih Heroiv). Also was renamed the fourth station as on the latest projects of developing of the metro system has a new name (Serzha Lyfaria), see map of potential developing, [22], [23]. I originally downloaded this file to correct its uneven borders. It has 31 pixels of padding on the top, 35 on the bottom, 50 on the left, and 16 on the right. I used GIMP to normalize this to 16 pixels of padding on all sides. I then attempted to run the image through my OxiPNG/ZopfliPNG optimization stack, thinking that it would correct the encoding to 8-bits-per-pixel Grayscale (it's currently 24-bits-per-pixel RGB). However, no such transformation was performed. I wrote a quick Java program to scan the image to diagnose why, and I found something peculiar. I found that 243,255 of the pixels in the image were not actually a true gray, but just one tick off of being gray, and only on the red channel, for some bizarre reason. (Example color culprits include #B4B3B3, #565555, and #D1D0D0.) I modified my Java program to forcibly correct the red channel's values to match those of the green and blue channels, and the result is an image that is EXTREMELY similar to the original, but now can be optimized to 8-bits-per-pixel Grayscale.
