Delete The claim of no copyright is based on the idea that this is an image taken by an automated system. The photographic system used to take images for drivers licenses are not automatic like a security camera or traffic camera. The person taking the image through the system makes determinations about the nature of the image while undertaking the work to take the image. This is not the same thing as a security/traffic camera. Some original work is going into the making of this image, thereby likely making it subject to copyright. Pennsylvania maintains copyrights on their works, and there is no reason to believe that Pennsylvania has released this image under any license compatible with Commons. The indicated {{PD-automated}} license isn't applicable due to the aforementioned issues. Therefore, pending affirmative proof the image is in the public domain via some other mechanism than automated, this image must be considered a copyright violation. - I addressed this the on Wikipedia talk page. Even if a civil servant has to click the shutter button, that doesn't constitute creative input under COM:TOO US and the Compendium especially if they're constrained by AAMVA standards on lightning, centering, depth of field and pose among other things. If there's no creative input in taking the photograph, then the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania cannot claim copyright on the picture. - The U.S. has a human authorship requirement for copyright protection which states that only "fruits of intellectual labor" and "original intellectual conceptions" can be copyrighted. A similar clause exists in France which led to the creation of that template. A work requires "skill, experience, or artistic judgment" to be protected by copyright according to the U.S. Copyright Compendium. Since the same compendium states that copyright rewards originality rather than effort, and originality or artistic judgement cannot be reconciled with the strict national standards for DL/ID photos as set forth by the AAMVA; DL/ID photographs cannot be protected. - Actually that was Elizium23’s rationale. Nevertheless, the file was uploaded with {{PD-USGov-NASA}} which has a warning: Images featured on the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) web site may be copyrighted. [1] It is true that the caption of ap230406 only says “Image Credit” and not “Image Credit & Copyright” (as in e.g. ap230330) but surely that’s not enough to get the image thrown into the public domain. The photo was published in relativityspace.com and in johnkrausphotos.com but no free license is offered. - Leaning towards Delete for the costumes. Most, if not all, of the characters in these photos are wearing full-body costumes which are more akin to wearable sculptures than articles of clothing. I don't see any compelling reason why these costumes wouldn't be copyrightable - they're certainly not utilitarian works, which is the usual argument put forth for why a costume is ineligible for copyright. I have reason to believe that the "1913" date is a typo, since William L. Grossman (1906-1980) only published his translation of Epitaph of a Small Winner in 1952. So, it would be PD in London in Jan 2051, while it would be Jan 2048 for the US. Source: 1 and 2 (this article states that the 1952 translation was the first time this specific work was released in English). To play it safe, I will add this page to Category:Undelete in 2051. - Have you looked at these images, or are you just repeating the prompts you gave to the AI? A picture of a cat sitting on top of a swirly blue box with the word "Wikipedia" on it does not even remotely invoke the concept of Schrödinger's cat (or Smany-roinger's cat, if we go by the text in the image), nor do the gibberish words and equations in the background make anything "accessible and understandable" - if anything, they do the opposite.
