However, you should be aware for your other galleries online that the picture you derived the fanart from, file:R160 E enters 42nd Street.jpg has a 'share alike' provision, which means that any derivative files must use the same license. - I am not sure if this goes for stamps from the DDR. As a user said a few years ago: the 1987 decision predated reunification and much of the commentary on the Loriot decision does not seem immediately applicable to the DDR (e.g. the DDR post office was not a private Aktiengesellschaft like Deutsche Post AG; many DDR stamps had a clearly official purpose as propaganda). Comment I highly doubt that even if these were used a propaganda it does not affect their copyright status. If we are going to start considering deletions of large numbers of German stamps of any kind, perhaps we really need to finally address the whole issue of all the German stamps referred to here: Commons:WikiProject Public Domain/German stamps review and include all those claimed to be authored by the uploaders, a total of 271 stamps that are clearly not their own work, as these 50+ ones here are. German stamps are not in the public domain, and they are certainly not under CC licenses as claimed here. These are stamps of East Germany, the GDR, so none of them can be older than 1949, and all of them are protected for 70 years after the deaths of their various artists, some of whom might be alive. Some of them were deleted before, compare Commons:Deletion requests/File:Stamps of Germany (DDR) 1979, MiNr 2449.jpg or Commons:Deletion requests/File:Stamps of Germany (DDR) 1984, MiNr 2849.jpg, there are more. All of these should be deleted.

- Comment I am begin to wonder if there is just a misunderstanding here. I am well aware that there is a (what I would like to call) an "only the one photographer can release under CC license" doctrine which is put into practice more often on Wikipedia. It more or less upholds the believe that:
- If you are not the photographer, or the photographer has released the photo under a cc-license to you, you cannot share the image on Wikipedia or elsewhere under a CC-licence.
- I guess from this extreme limited point of view, ignoring all societal circumstance, the release of the image on Wikisage could be misinterpreted as License laundering. However, take for example this Commons license help page, that starts with:
- All works on Wikimedia Commons are required to be released under a free license by their copyright holder. Unless the uploader is the copyright holder, we require proof that the copyright holder released the work under the license...
- This stipulates the point here, that it is not about the photographer, but about the copyright-holder. - That's entirely correct. This is not a modelling picture where the photographer keeps the rights. The agency regularly offers batches of talents (and lots of would-be talents) the opportunity for a short photo session by an anonymous photographer. You pay a fair fee, and you get some pictures copyrighted to you to start your portfolio. They retain the limited right to use them for casting. It's a very common practice. I have more recent images of actual modelling sessions (not by this agency) that I didn't pay for, and which I can't upload here. - From the explanation Guido den Broeder gave yesterday it seems to be reasonably clear that the copyright was granted to Guido den Broeder before the photoshoot started, and this was incorporated in the fee that was charged for the photoshoot. In this particular case we have no business "seek(ing) evidence that the photo can be maintained." The evidence is in the statement of Guido made here yesterday. The evidence is in the release of the image on Wikisage in 2017, which is never contested as far as we know and as such a legal release.
- As far as my understanding of copyright law, contract law etc. goes there has been a legitimate release of the image by a clear legal entity, the legal foundation running the Wikisage website. Refusal to acknowledge seem to me like double-crossing the copyright law and contract law. Mis-framing the situation as a copyright transfer and contacting the agency for prove of something that didn't happen... requesting an additional month to sort this out... is not right.

- Reconsidering this whole situation from scratch, I do think there is a source of confusion in the way the licence information was initially written down, and still is formulated. What I mean in particular is the text:

- In this situation the Dutch casting Agency should not be named the auteur/author which is a legal term, but something as:
- Auteur: Originator: Photoshoot initiated by Dutch casting Agency with anonymous photographer, where models acted as the client or commissioning party
- Or maybe even better:
- Auteur: Photo originates from photoshoot initiated by Dutch casting Agency with anonymous photographer, whereby models acted as the client or commissioning party. Auteursrechthouder: Guido den Broeder, vrijgegeven onder CC BY-SA 3.0
- As to the wild goose chase, this doesn't have to be this way. The first thing we can do is ask for documentation. Are there documents signed with the photoshoot, which confirm the statement that Guido made. And can they be shared online of offline? - Just an update: I did some research myself yesterday and found a blog from a photographer, who has worked for the Dutch Casting Agency, in which she explained some of the work she did for that agency. It confirms some of what Guido had explained. Even more remarkable is, that in her own work for her own professional customers, she offers the condition of "vrij gebruiksrecht voor alle publicaties ter promotie van haar werk" (see here) Although this is no CC licence, it occurred to me that there could be similarities.
- Today I contacted the photographer to ask about those conditions, and after a while it turned out that she was the one who took the photoshoot of Guido five years ago. She confirmed to me that that photoshoot was ordered by the Dutch Casting Agency, and (she didn't know for sure) that there probably was some kind of contract. I was very interested if this was under the same conditions as she offers with the "vrij gebruiksrecht", which she could neither confirm or deny. Now I am sharing this information here, because this makes the statement Guido gave more likely, yet not conclusive. There was the point, as the photographer explained to me, that "vrij gebruiksrecht" has the reservation that it wants to exclude the sales to third parties. In CC terms this could be - no commercial use.
- In the mean time I also received a copy of the mail, that Ellywa send to the Dutch Casting Agency. After my initial skepticism I now think the good thing about this initiative is, that this has got things started. However the different parties involved make it rather complex. It all seem to come down to the conditions, in which the photoshoot was held. Ok, I just received word that permission is granted by the photographer, and a permission mail is send by the photographer to VRT and received by the VRT under Ticket:2022090910007768. I guess this mean we can close this delete request debate. I will hereby also explain this outcome: As more usual the photographer has asked for advice at her union DuPho. They explained that in the situation that there was no permanent employment contract with the Dutch Casting Agency, the copyright rests with the photographer... unless otherwise agreed with the client. The photographer has explained that there was no such agreements made at that particular photoshoot. Therefor she as photographer is the copyright owner. Next, on my request she declared to be prepared to release the image here on Wikimedia Commons, and she has send the conformation mail. - Keep I took photographs of the directory and mural in June 2021 during a self-guided tour of the Bonneville Lock and Dam's Washington Shore Visitor Complex; both the Dam and the Complex are facilities built and operated by the US Army Corp of Engineers. I believe the directory and mural, displayed publicly inside the visitor complex, were created by people employed by the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) for the purpose of fulfilling the Visitor Complex's purpose: informing the public about the dam and its environmental impact. For example, the Portland District of the USACE published a video on their Youtube channel about the how the mural was made by USACE Park Ranger Leslie McClintock in order to educate visitors about the salmon lifecycle in the Columbia River. Therefore, I believe COM:USGOV may apply, making the mural and maps public domain images.
- Before I realized she was a USACE employee when she made the mural, I messaged Leslie, who I met during my 2021 visit, via a comment on her LinkedIn page. I gave her a link to the Commons:VRT/CONSENT release generator so she can apply a free license to release them. In hindsight, I should have realized she was a full-time USACE employee when she made the mural and that there is a category on Commons for works made public domain because they were made by USACE employees in order to fulfill their official duties (Category:PD US Army USACE).
- As for the map, it appears to be an older version of a very similar map I photographed (link) in the visitor center's display gallery (see directory). Like many US government-issued maps and diagrams designed to inform the public, the identity of the draftsman is not indicated.
- In summary, I know the educational mural was made by a full-time employee of the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) and therefore is likely in the public domain according to COM:USGOV. - The issue is not just that the color is wrong, but the text is wrong too. It says "Port Jervis (Yellow) Line" when it should say "Port Jervis (Orange) Line". No doubt they were created in the timeframes referenced, but it appears they were unpublished. Many appear to be family photos. They all derive from a 2017 Daily Mail article (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4140514/Robert-Dwyer-father-Budd-Dwyer-suicide-TV.html) and appear to have been provided by the subject of the article, who probably owns the copyright to some or all of them.

- Delete - Once again, apologises if I placed the wrong delete tag on my images, as the author I request to delete these images due to the last two attached being used in one of my gif's currently (2001 - 2011 White British), so no need for the individual files for those, secondly I plan to create better files under .SVG's similar to File:White percentage UK wide.svg which are in more improved detail and currently these files are .PNG's so I cannot update them in that regard. - Commons:Currency#Map shows Bangladesh as "No information, assume 'not OK'". Does anyone have any updated information? It seems a shame to exclude these kinds of images when there has been no action taken against them and we have no information about any laws against the representation of Bangladeshi currency. I understand the precautionary principle, but that's sensible in gray areas in which litigation might be possible. However, if there's no law against this, I don't see how it could be prosecuted. - Ce graphique est de ma propre production. Les données sont extraites de sources fiables et consultables, notamment celles mentionnées en "références" dans l'article "Harley-Davidson" que je suis en train de restructurer pour lui donner un plan général cohérent et des sources solides. Je pensais me servir du graphique pour illustrer les hauts et bas de Harley au cours des années. J'ai déjà créé (et utilisé) des graphiques pour d'autres articles (voir en particulier: "Horizon optique"). - If the uploader claims to be the creator and copyright owner, they should simply be directed to COM:VRT to verify proper licensing.
