Keep In a correction to my earlier comment on the Village Pump, I just spotted a tiny icon in the extreme bottom left of the web page that links to a CC BY 4.0 licence. It is a rather obscure way to display the licence but it is present on the author's own page and appears to apply to all of the images uploaded here. [edit]These 4 image files contain strange transmission code and "FBMD" code in the "special instructions of the Exif metadata, indicating these came from social media.
Proof of identity verification of the true copyright holder (the photographer) via email correspondence is required for works previously published on social media so to confirm if the uploader is indeed the photographer (the copyright holder) of these images and that the photographer (the copyright owner) has applied the license as indicated, as there have been numerous cases on Wiki before (and up to now) that the uploaders just grabbed images from Facebook or other social media sites. For email template, see COM:VRT#Email message template for release of rights to a file. Better still, have the original images overwrite these socmed-derived images, if the images are truly self-photographed works of the uploader.

- Delete may not also pass the proposed Philippine FOP starting next year (if we are fortunate). These types of 2D graphic works are meant to be for temporal exhibition here in our country, and are usually removed after a certain or definite period. For evidence, see some of the ads at the ff. images of Orense Street segment of EDSA: from October 2012, from December 2014, and from March 2021. Different ads at the billboard at the top left of EDSA-Orense images? Philippine billboard ads are not "otherwise than temporarily" situated. Starliner Flight Test logos
[edit]Starliner logos are created by Boeing for their missions, not NASA. While these images may be derived from a NASA image (File:Boeing CFT Crew.jpg), its de minimis use there (which could also be argued) does not confer public domain status to the logo on its own. See [2], [3], [4], and [5] for examples of these logos and other Starliner program logos being attributed to Boeing rather than NASA.

Comment it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that Cervantes himself is the sock master. While I cannot see the OTRS ticket, thus the licensing, please check that it covers a photographer who is not Cervantes giving permission for the picture to be here.- We should remember the standard advice here: "No evidence that the image is under an acceptable free licence. Ownership or possession of a photo, proprietorship of the equipment used to take the photo, or being the subject of the photo does not equate holding the copyright. - Either {{PD-USGov-USDA}} or {{PD-USGov-USDA-FS}}. I can see the USDA logo more clearly, but the Forrest Service makes sense because it would be the branch of the USDA that would put up something like this. This is a photo showing a German military officer in Nazi uniform, said to be from 1944.
The photo was uploaded using a license tag, {{PD-Germany-§134}}, that is a rather special license tag for works "published by a legal entity under public law". Accd. to German law, "legal entities under public law" , emphasis on under public law (de:Juristische Person des öffentlichen Rechts), are basically cities, counties/districts, the German states, the German nation state itself, some churches and some other public bodies. Also, to use this tag, the legal entity under public law in question must be named as a "Herausgeber" in/on the work, and at the same time no personal author must be named. None of this is shown to apply here, so we have to assume that it does not apply and the tag is not applicable for this file.
The uploader also claims that the author is "Unknown / Not disclosed". Even if that is correct, it does not matter, since license tags like {{PD-EU-no author disclosure}} (and similar tags) are not applicable to German works before 1995. This is because German law says that pre-1995 anonymous works are only really anonymous if the author was never publicly disclosed anywhere, not even in a lecture or similar. One cannot prove that, so pre-1995 "anonymous" works from Germany are not suitable for Commons (or de.wp). Contrary to the US, there is no rule in German Urheberrecht (copyright law) that says that works created by state employees / soldiers etc. while on duty are automatically in the PD, and there is also no "work for hire" concept, crown copyright or similar. The Urheberrecht (copyright) remains with the author, here the actual person who took the photograph.
A 1944 photograph is also not old enough to assume that the photo must be in the PD anyway, since the author easily could have lived beyond 1950. There is {{PD-old-assumed}}, but the photo would have to be at least 120 years old for that.

Another tag often used by uploaders as a sort of catch-all for older works, {{PD-EU-no author disclosure}}, and similar tags aren't applicable to German works before 1995, since German law says that pre-1995 anonymous works are only really anonymous if the author was never publicly disclosed anywhere, not even in a lecture or similar. One cannot prove that, so pre-1995 "anonymous" works from Germany are not suitable for Commons (or de.wp).
The photographs are also not old enough to assume that the photos must be in the PD anyway, since the author could have lived beyond 1950. There is {{PD-old-assumed}}, but the photos would have to be at least 120 years old for that.
tl;dr: There is not enough information for us to be able to keep these files. They should be deleted per the precautionary principle unless conclusively shown to actually be in the public domain or under a free license.

This image is misidentified at the original source. The error must have arose because there are so many of the two pictured together during WWII. They look similar because they are both in uniform and have the same hair style. However, Per Sylvan has a much higher hairline per the other images from the same, and other archives. Misidentification at original sources is rare, but we track them. See, for instance our list of LCCN error and VIAF errors, that remain uncorrected at the source, because we do not have a contact at the source willing to take the time to make the corrections. - Agree with Pa2chant.bis. This upload and its license aren't funny business, dubious advert or misleading interpretation of more or less obscure point of law. The uploader is the son of the deceased author and copyright holder of the work. Asking for proof that he is the sole owner of the rights, with legal documentation, would go way beyond the usual burden of proof placed on any uploader. I would oppose the deletion on those grounds. - @6PO Je ne suis plus volontaire OTRS, n'ai donc pas accès au ticket, mais je me souviens de mon temps comme volontaire que demander à quelqu'un de prouver son identité n'était typiquement pas demandé. C'est pour les cas de re-publication qu'il fallait un minimum de vigilance, afin de s'assurer que la personne uploadant en avait bien le droit, mais pour les cas de première publication sur Commons, ce n'est généralement pas nécessaire. Tu places ici une exigence sur Pascal3012 (prouver qu'il est l'unique ayant-droit) qui n'est pas demandée à 99,99% des uploaders, surtout pour des photos d'archives familiales.
