- Hello, this is Kevin Moffitt and I believe that it should not be deleted. Those are my CLEARANCES or CERTIFICATES OF CLEARANCE from the bobies whose name is on there. It's just like a business, for every business you have to display its license from the city government and/or the state government to be displayed for all to see. And anyone can take a picture of it for any use. It's the same precedence here. I have gained their clearances from the USA and UN and Nigeria and England. I have many more details backing up their clearances, and all of my communications are watched by the FBI and WHITE HOUSE. I am licensing those to be displayed. Those are done online and they meet the criteria for online licenses. Yes, and online licenses all look cheesy, but that is no reason to prove that it's so called 'bogus' by that man.
This is why Paul Tucker arranged for me to sign in Canada before any of these things, but I was unable and didn't make it across the border back then. Because Paul foresaw the level of difficulty I would encounter trying to get it done alone.

Although the graphics are pretty simple, I doubt that they are indeed "lacking evidence of original authorship/ creative input of any kind" as would be necessary for PD-ineligible. No original authorship? No creative input? Isn't it a creative work made within the limited technical means of the Atari 400/800? I think that particularly the GIF animations File:Atari 800 Star Raiders - Hyperwarp.gif, File:Atari 800 Star Raiders - Novice Mission.gif and File:Star Raiders - Copyright Atari 1979.gif might pe problematic. - Stars are rectangular dots, the instrument panel is just formatted text, the crosshair is just four lines. Everyone could have made this kind of graphics, there is no creativity in the graphic objects shown at all. Detailed pics of star bases and space fighters that _may_ show some creativity have been spared out. The Galactic Map essentially is a grid with barely recognizable pixel patterns in it. - Whether the images are technically screenshots or faithfully redrawn graphics doesn't make a difference, copyright-wise (it's the same work). Ok, dann etwas ausführlicher. Wappen z. B. sind oft recht komplexe und aufwendige Werke, haben aber in den allermeisten Fällen keine SH, da sie aus uralten Elementen zusammengesetzt sind, die nur jedesmal anders angeordnet werden. Diese Neuordnung ungeschützter Elemente bewirkt keine SH. Bei sehr komplexen sogenannten ASCII-Art könnte man vielleich darüber nachdenken. Hier wird eine Spielidee umgesetzt. Gibt man diese Aufgabe 10 verschiedenen Gestaltern, ist es sehr wahrscheinlich, daß 10 Mal nahezu das Gleiche rauskommt. Da ist kein Platz für eine "persönliche schöpferische Leistung". Bei vielen der frühen Spiele ist sowas sowieso computergeneriert, weil Computer das besser als Menschen können, da sie die Logik besser verarbeiten. --Ralf Roletschek 06:30, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Naubauer hat letztlich auch nur die visuelle Idee von Star Wars / Enterprise umgesetzt. Die Screenshots zeigen m.M.n. die einfachstmögliche Art einer solchen Umsetzung. Einfacher als die systemgegebenen viereckigen Pixel kann man Sterne nicht darstellen. Dasselbe trifft auf die Instrumententafel zu - einfacher als Text geht nicht - ohne Hintergrundwissen würde man vermutlich noch nicht einmal wissen, worum es eigentlich geht. Das Fadenkreuz ist ebenfalls nicht einfacher darstellbar. So gesehen handelt es sich um rein handwerkliches Schaffen, wie etwa in einer technischen Zeichnung. Selbst die gezeigten Animationen sind m.E. nicht künstlerischer Natur, denn sie zeigen den Vorgang einer Bewegung durch ein Sternenfeld nebst Überlichtsprung. Die Idee hat Neubauer selbst geklaut (Star Trek), die Umsetzung ist wieder die einfachstmögliche - die physikalisch "korrekte" also die rein algorithmisch erzeugte Bewegung. Es gibt weder eine farbliche Nuancierung noch echte Grafikobjekte (die wenig vorhandenen werden in den Bildern nicht en Detail gezeigt), keine lyrischen Begleittexte oder was-auch-immer. Ich sehe das wie Ralf: es liegt in den _gezeigten_ _Bildern/Animationen_ keine persönliche schöpferische Leistung vor. Die persönliche schöpferische Leistung von Neubauer ist die technische Umsetzung und der Einbau von strategischen Elementen, meinetwegen auch die Art der Geräusche. Hello, my image has been templated for speedy deletion as it is assumed that I have colorized a historical illustration from a book somewhere. However, this is an original work that I created and would like to discuss whether this meets deletion criteria at all. I have been talking with the admin EugeneZelenko and we have been discussing the issue on my talk page as well as his. I provide edited versions of my response here from our discussion. My concern is whether it is the image creation process itself which is part of the problem.

There is no doubt that many of elements are inspired by numerous images depicting scenes and items from the 1615-1630 English colonial era to ensure historical accuracy. Its overall composition- inspired by a number of out-of-copyright works illustrating the colonial era- is a visual dramatization based on the written record by the Virginia Company Court in Jamestown during 1623. However, this image is unique, and solely created by me. I've licensed it so that it is now open to use by all if is at all helpful.
If the term "embossed and cropped" raised the issues, this is just in reference to the iterative process of composition. (Please look at the older images. Most of the constructive iterations are done off-line, but some can be seen in the previous images.)

There is no larger image: For most of the time, I worked in a 600 x 450 pixeled space, which I eventually cropped down to a 570 x 406, then to 570 x 395 space to heighten the pictorial drama (e.g., slightly clipping the dress, the table, and the figure on the left to heighten the dramatic tension by having the figures slightly out of frame). And yes, I built it in black and white before coloring, so could focus on the difficult drawing. After I created the image, I then determined the coloring based on my own sense of dramatic color theory (e.g., Anglican preacher's dark blue on mid-height left, contrasted by a yellow coming from the upper window that creates a Vermeer-like contrast.
The individual elements are constructed from dozen of composite micropieces that I individually work.
If you look carefully at the back wall on the right, my working method is obvious to inspection: I created a single panel for the back wall by creating and merging three textured, rectangular objects (i.e., one for a vertical board, one for a horizontal board, and one for a panel). I then duplicated the resultant panel three times, slightly modifying the distortion of each to break up "too easily observed" sense of repetition. I then arranged them into a fixed-horizon vanish point frame I created that vanishes off-screen to the left to create the sense of walled perspective.
An inspection of Cecily's image history on the upload page serves as another example of my work process. If you look at the history of the images where the final one is posted, you can see my working method in the previous images. After doing further research on Jamestown fashion, I realized that I got both her collar and the sleeves wrong in my original upload. If you examine the image changes, you will see the sleeves are constructed composites of multiple shaped and proportioned rectangles, which are then textured shaded to match the dress, which itself is based on multiple elements. In fact, Cecily herself is constructed of over a dozen separate elements, which were modified and reworked- often pixel by pixel- until they form a single ensemble. I had to create the arms, the heads, the face, and then rework them into a whole: you will find not find anything like the figure of Cecily on the web (or in any book illustration either).Wtfiv (talk) 17:51, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

In the end, the administrator continues to insist that I attribute the original illustration, but there is no such original from which this composition was derived. But, as mentioned I am wondering if the working process itself is the cause of this problem? If I need to share my work process for constructing the images in this work in more detail, I can. As can be seen, I'd like to retain this image on the commons. Any help and insight would be appreciated.Wtfiv (talk) 18:49, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
