Featured Picture Candidates
[edit]Good day. I've observed that you are one of the 8 users that unanimously supported this pciture in the first 65 minutes of that picture FPC vote. Since 17 of the 18 subsequent votes were opposing and a look on your user page indicate that all of you 8 supporting are related in some way to the hebrew language, my understanding is that your vote may be bias in order to support a friend. Please understand that bias votes can easily destroy the FPC process. You are invited and encouraged to participate in the FPC voting process, but please do so by following the guidelines. Thank you. --S23678 (talk) 16:12, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- I thought, and I still think this is nice picture. After reading the guidelines, I understand it isn't enougth, and I'm sorry for this voting. I won't do it again. BTW, the vote isn't my only editing here: I have second account - User:Eran, which I used before global account migration. ערן (talk) 18:29, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- You have the entire right to vote as you did if you think it's a nice picture. But I hope you understand the reason why I sent such a message to all the initial voters. You are fully welcomed to participate again in the FPC voting process; in fact, the more voters we have, the more credibility we gain! Have a nice day. --S23678 (talk) 19:02, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello ערן!
Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.
To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.
You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.
The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!
Thank you. Multichill (talk) 12:34, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've added 3 categories for this image. 15:28, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Please don't make unneeded edits to heavily used templates like that. The /lang namespace on that template doesn't properly categorize images for deletion. The page as a redirect works, so there was no reason for you to make your edit. -Nard the Bard 15:13, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- The reason for the edit is to make it autotranslated: for users who use interface other than english - they will see the template in their own language. The category is in the end of the template so there shound be no problem with the category. You should check before reverting, espeacially in heavily used templates like that. Please change it back to my version, or tell me the specific problem so I can make it work. ערן (talk) 18:40, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- I've reverted your edits. The problem in categories is because people used instead of No permission since. I've added the category to /en too - but in general, users should use the general template and not the english one. ערן (talk) 18:54, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- The quickdelete script uses the /en :P -Nard the Bard 12:02, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Revert
[edit]Hello, I reverted your changes on Template:Bad name, the result was incorrect (I don't use the french interface of this model...). Please make sure your modifications do not have unwanted side-effects, especially on frequently used models. Michelet-密是力 (talk) 08:17, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I've checked it and it shouldn't show you message in french. The only 2 ways to see French message are: using french interface (from preferences), or having linked to page using specific language (meaning adding to the end of the url uselang=fr). If it's the case, there was no problem. If it isn't - tell me when and where you saw french message and I will check it. ערן (talk) 19:36, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- BTW - you shouldn't delete Template:Bad name/en. ערן (talk) 19:41, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I've reverted your change - Any user should use this model only in Bad Name without specifing language and users see this template in their own language - meaning: you can see the model in your language (French), and i see it in Hebrew, and so on. ערן (talk) 18:21, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

I've unprotected and re-listed this. I'd suggest to clarify this on the RFA, ערן. You might consider whether the bare minimum of 200 edits is really what you want to be meeting. Perhaps waiting until you have more experience here would be worthwhile. I hate to see a pile-on.

Hi! I would like to thank you for volunteering to help by becoming an administrator. However, I think it's clear now that there is not consensus to promote you at present. I therefore have closed and archived your request, acting in my capacity as a bureaucrat of Commons. I am sorry. I would suggest you take some of the feedback you were given to heart. Spend some time doing more things here and getting to know our ways better, and then consider trying again. Internationalization of templates
[edit]Hi, I'm also working on it.
Multichill built a big table of the templates to work on. Perhaps we could join our efforts?
For example, let's first build some layout templates, then we'll update the language text templates to use the layout, and finally we'll add autotranslate on the main template :)
Best regards from France,
-- AlNo (discuter/talk/hablar/falar) 16:01, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- I saw the table and already began working on some Hebrew templates and fixing of direction support in layout templates. I'm going to continue with it soon ערן (talk) 16:56, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Re: Autotranslation of dates
[edit]- Hi, sorry for the long time before answering you.
- It seems that your suggestion is quite more complex than you expected :)
- The Information field names could be autotranslated, but autotranslating the content of the Date parameter is quite impossible as long as there is no standardization for the date representation: some people write the date with full words of their own language, others use American notation (mm/dd/yyyy), some prefer dd/mm/yy formatting... You see that there are so many cases (not counting the possible ambiguity between similar formats) that any automation would be a nightmare :)
- Best regards from France,

Hebrew translations needed
[edit]Hi! I contact you as you speak English and Hebrew.
Jastrow and I are working on autotranslating Meta information museum, the meta-template we use for many museums, like Information Louvre. Could you please help us find Hebrew translations for every tag name:
* artist/maker * description * dimensions * credit line * accession number * location * source/photographer * references * other versions
"Credit line" is mainly about the mode of acquisition: what collection does it come from? Did it join the collections by gift, purchase, on loan, etc.?

Ajax translations
[edit]Hi! Thanks a lot for tackling this. It's really a good idea. However, I still see a number of problems with your current code:
- The wfSupportsAjax check should be removed now. It's not needed anymore, and it still may cause alerts for IE6 users if it's left in there.
- loadAjaxTranslation doesn't get the link as the parameter. It gets the click event. Note that on IE6, it doesn't get anything as the parameter, you have to get the event from window.event. I usually use something like function eventHandler (evt) { evt = evt || window.event; var link = evt.target || evt.srcElement; ... }
- You should not access tables by index. Other scripts may have added other tables to the document between the initial setup and the time the user clicks a translation link. Either store a link to the containing table instead of the index in your own attribute layoutContainer, or simply walk up the DOM tree (starting at the link, using parentNode) until you hit a table with class "layouttemplate" to find the table you need.
- Why include the current time in the API URL? It's not even checked afterwards. It's really not needed.
- The API call should include "&pst&title=" + encodeURIComponent (wgPageName).
- Try to keep the global namespace clean. Wrap everything inside an anonymous function buy putting (function () { at the top and })(); at the end of the script. Inside that function, you'll need to export your callback function; just add window.loadSpecificTranslation = loadSpecificTranslation; before the call to addOnloadHook.
- Guard against double inclusion of the script. After the previous step, put if (typeof (loadSpecificTranslation) == 'undefined') { at the top of the file, and a single } at the bottom.
- Handle error cases in loadSpecificTranslation. What if the server response doesn't have parse.text['*']?
- After a translation has changed, it would suffice to re-init that containing table. No need to re-init the whole document.
Hope you find these comments helpful. Cheers, Lupo 19:55, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- yea, you right. fixed it.
- Yea I know it isn't the link (i used link.srcElement to get it). I don't have IE6 so when I checked it, I didn't see the problem. fixed it
- you right. i'll change it to recursivly find the parent layoutContainer
- At beginning i didn't sent the time. but afterwords when i checked it: When you load german, then english and trying to reload german - german won't be loaded as it's already loaded before. So the time (in comment) is some workaround for that. people may say: "yacc it's ugly patch" but it works simply ;)
- OK. but why?
- fine. I'll fix it
- I prefare that checking to be added in the by the importing JS to keep the script clean. but it isn't really important
- ok fixed it
- I'm just replacing the table element by new element. i had some problems with just changing the innerHTML of the table. I'll retry to use the other way.
- Thanks for the code review. ערן (talk) 19:38, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- On (4): so you're using the timestamp to bypass caching. But that should not be necessary. You should still get a reply without that timestamp, but that reply may come from your local browser's cache, or from one of the server-side caches (squids). Try removing the timestamp and then using Firebug to monitor what requests are made. But then again, maybe you're hitting an IE caching bug. If it works without the timestamp on FF, but not on IE, try adding the timestamp only on IE. There's no need to disable caching on other browsers if it works there with caching.
- On (5): &pst does the "pre-save transfomation", which includes properly handling links written as Somepage. Without &pst, this kind of links is not rendered properly.
- On (9): No, I meant that initAjaxTranslation re-inits the links in all tables with class "layouttemplate", but it would suffice to re-init the just changed table.
- Cheers, Lupo 12:58, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- OK. fixed it all. thanks again, ערן (talk) 06:40, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 06:29, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Ajax translation
[edit]Hey, I noted your work with the ajax translation script. Quite good work, I must say, IMO this is what we needed here. Just wondering, does the script also work with other templates than the license templates? The license templates are probably important for this, but it would be great if this could also work with some other templates. --The Evil IP address (talk) 19:19, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. It works for any template that use table with class="layouttemplate". Some examples of other template which aren't license template: Template:CatDiffuse, Template:Bad name. ערן (talk) 19:32, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hello. First of all, great feature, thanks! I noticed some issues though, that I reported on MediaWiki talk:AjaxTranslation.js. Cheers, Jean-Fred (talk) 14:43, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Translations of templates
[edit]Hi ערן, some of our more important templates are translated at Translatewiki:. For most templates we have a lot of translations and a lot of languages are fully translated (stats). Unfortunately that's not the case for Hebrew. Could you help to get these messages translated? Multichill (talk) 13:49, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've created there user and I'll translate there some templates.
Hi ערן, you need to mention the authors of all the images which you used in this montage. --Túrelio (talk) 20:39, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- I thought it's enough to mention the original images with links, but I'll mention the authors too. ערן (talk) 20:55, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- I know, that's the way on Wikimedia projects. However, this often leads to license violation by re-users, who don't realize they have to mention the author of all CC-BY-, GFDL-, FAL-, etc. licensed images. --Túrelio (talk) 21:02, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Picture of the Year voting round 1 open
[edit]Dear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:
- Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
- This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
- Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.
To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons
Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Messages per language
[edit]Hi,
I saw the great technique to change the language into Template:Autotranslate, it's genious
That's why too I would like to know if you can explain me how are generated the translations of pages as Special:Gadgets. Is it done with transletewiki? It seems that's a local message and it's not possible, but I don't understand how it done. By a template? I didn't found it. Do you have an idea, please?
Thanks by advance, Automatik (talk) 02:28, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- Template:Autotranslate is used for translating local templates (it is just a nice hack that uses int). But special pages, like Special:Gadgets, have built-in translation support in MediaWiki core: it uses the MediaWiki namespace with language suffix. For example: MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox have MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox/fr with French translation. Local messages which aren't part of the core (e.g - specific gadgets) have translations in MediaWiki namespace, and it isn't possible to use translate wiki, while global messages (as the title and the first sentence in Special:Gadgets) can be translated in translatewiki. ערן (talk) 06:41, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your fast answer.
- Do you know where we can see the messages which are in Mediawiki core?
- Do you have an example of message which isn't in the core and for which it isn't possible to use translatewiki? In order to understand what the difference between a Mediawiki-namespace message related to the core (and used for translations) and one who are not related to the core (but used for translations too).
- Cordially, Automatik (talk) 13:44, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- All the MediaWiki messages for the core and extensions can be found and translated in translatewiki. All the other messages (+messages from the core that can be overriden locally) can be found in Special:AllPages/MediaWiki:. Another way to find messages is to use the search, and limit the results to MediaWiki namespace.
- Example of messages that can't be translated in translatewiki are gadgets (Special:PrefixIndex/MediaWiki:Gadget-). Gadgets are site-specific so you can't translate it there. (and even worse: translation of the gadget itself [not it's description] is incorporated in the gadget code, e.g MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js/fr ). ערן (talk) 14:22, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi,
- You said firstly that «special pages, like Special:Gadgets, have built-in translation support in MediaWiki core: it uses the MediaWiki namespace with language suffix. For example: MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox have MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox/fr with French translation.». I understand by this that the appearence of MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox/fr in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets for the French's user's interfaces is enabled by Mediawiki core.
- Otherwise, you say that gadgets are messages that can't be translated. But here I can see many messages starting with MediaWiki:Gadget-.
- These two reasons are why I don't understand how the interface of Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets is function of the user's interface language. However, I understand the functioning oh the templates.
- Finally, is there an help somewhere who explains how are generated the localized messages by wiki for Mediawiki:Gadget-HotCat.js. I just would like to know how the wiki who use this gadget recognize the good subpage of MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js and adapts the gadget in consequence? By localized messages by wiki, I wanted to refer to this line of the gadget:
// Localize these messages to the main language of your wiki.
- Also, sorry for my English.
- Cordially, and thanks by advance for all your help, Automatik (talk) 23:01, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox/fr for French users is enabled by mediawiki core, but it isn't part of the core (=When you install a new MediaWiki, you don't have gadgets installed and you don't have a message called MediaWiki:Gadget-Geotoolbox/fr). MediaWiki knows the user language preference (as defined in Special:Preferences) and finds the correct message (the correct suffix) according to it (for any core message+mediawiki NS page).
- Translations for gadgets in translatewiki are specific to translatewiki, and aren't copied to other sites/wikis (translatewiki copies only messages that appear in Special:Translate - messages with Gadget-SOMETHINE aren't listed there).
- HotCat - translation of gadgets messages is done in JS code, and it is specific to each gadget, so I don't think there is a guide/help page about it. If you are interested in the code implementation for language support there: HotCat code loads the correct message using javascript variable wgUserLanguage which gives it the user language of the current user:
- Thanks for your fast answer.
loadJS ('MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js/' + wgUserLanguage);
- And then the specific translation (MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js/fr) overwrite the messages of hotcat.
- ערן (talk) 20:59, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok! So for the templates, this is an hack, for the mediawiki-namespace messages this is done automatically thanks to the core. Automatik (talk) 12:12, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Your admin status
[edit]Hello. I'm a steward. A new policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, etc.) was adopted by community consensus recently. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing administrators' activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.
You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no log actions for 2 years) on yiwiktionary, where you are an administrator. Since yiwiktionary does not have its own administrators' rights review process, the global one applies.
If you want to keep your rights, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights, and demonstrate a continued requirement to maintain these rights.
We stewards will evaluate the responses. If there is no response at all after approximately one month, we will proceed to remove your administrative rights. In cases of doubt, we will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact us on m:Stewards' noticeboard.

[edit]Dear ערן. You asked me some weeks ago if I could setup a delinker bot for hewiki, too. I now ready to test it. Please let me know when we shall start. Please contact me at m:User talk:Krd if possible. Thank you. --Krd 18:05, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Copyright status: File:Neighborhood tet.svg
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Neighborhood tet.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |
No required license templates were detected at this file page. Please correct it, or if you have any questions please check my FAQ or contact me on my talk page. Yours sincerely, Jarekt (talk) 03:51, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Jarekt, I assume you aren't a bot - as human being you probably noticed there was missing { in the template on this page. You could easily fix it :) thanks, Eran (talk) 04:15, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- I am semi-bot. Files without license are added by a bot to a category and I alert uploaders that the files have problems. When I have time I will do a spot check and try to fix some files, but there is no time for deep analysis of new uploads. Instead we try to concentrate on fixing old uploads that somehow loose license. --Jarekt (talk) 03:12, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Translation
[edit]שלום ערן, would you mind to check Structural-Iceberg all.svg, whether my translation to ivrit is correct? It should be shown e.g. at לא-מודע. Thank you תודה רבה ---- sarang♥사랑 17:45, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sarang: Good work! there is only one minor issue - except "הסופר אגו" should be "סופר אגו" (e.g without ה prefix meaning "super ego" rather than "The super ego"). Eran (talk) 18:41, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you. You can see that my ivrit is very poor, too poor to see that the emphasing article there is rather wrong. I will change it. -- sarang♥사랑 18:46, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi ערן, you asked File:אריה (לייב'ל) פולונסקי.jpg to be redirected to File:אריה פולונסקי.jpg. But the latter has far lower resolution than than the first one. Shouldn't the redirect be the other way round? --Túrelio (talk) 10:01, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Túrelio, good point. I was looking on image usage but didn't notice the different resolution. I think you are right. Eran (talk) 10:08, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Another translation
[edit]Shalom Aaron, I am missing an ivrit translation for the displayed boxes of some templates, in special for Valid SVG, the more compicated Invalid SVG and the difficult Template:Created with .... I know that ivrit people are very fit in English - but may be that somebody likes to see that stuff also in Hebrew, not only in Arabic and Farsi? I do not know neither enough ivrit, nor people of the ivrit speaking commons community; may be you know others who would like to do this work. If necessary, I can give every explanation (in English). It would also be enough if somebody tells me the words for a correct translation. Thank you -- sarang♥사랑 08:26, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- sarang: I translated the first 2 templates. Regarding the 3rd template I see it isn't translatable by itself, e.g Template:Created_with_.../en includes Template:Created with/en. Eran (talk) 18:32, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
- תודה רבה, It looks very good. You can check it at Template_talk:InvalidSVG#Current display. There I see problems with the writing direction of the 'small boxes"; I am looking for a solution.
- About the 3rd template: the "created with"-stuff consist of a cascade of templates, the first one (e.g. Created with ... pass parameters to the second one for translation, there exists one for every language, e.g Created with .../en, the next is e.g Created with/en (also one for every language), and finally it is passed to the last one, Created with to display the box. For Hebrew, a and a a is missing. They can be made by using parts of the code of other "Created with .../xx" and "Created with/xx" templates. Yes, I know it is complicated, and it is questionable whether the necessary effort might be useful; it is just an idea of me, do not take it too serious if you have more essential things to do! -- sarang♥사랑 05:43, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- I could fix the writing direction problem. About the other templates, I created stubs for both; but there I had problems with the sequence of the different parts of the text which is composed from Latin and Hebrew words. I made several tries but had no success. Do you have more experience with such compositions? -- sarang♥사랑 13:51, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

File tagging File:גילעד חיטמן.jpeg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:גילעד חיטמן.jpeg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:גילעד חיטמן.jpeg ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

- Thanks Yann for review the . The original uploader מתיאל indicated it is distributed by free license of CC-BY-SA and to my best knowledge the image wasn't copied from somewhere else in the web. I will ask him in his Hebrew Wikipedia user talk page to clarify it in commons. thanks, Eran (talk) 08:13, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Where is the evidence of a free license? Yann (talk) 17:00, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- This is based on the license template he used to upload the image. However, we don't have evidence that the uploader didn't set it wrongly - so we better get additional info from him, or in case he doesn't respond within 7 days, we can delete it. Eran (talk) 17:10, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
