I notice the tag has been updated; to qualify, though, it notes that "Warning sign This tag can be used only when the author cannot be ascertained by reasonable enquiry. If you wish to rely on it, please specify in the image description the research you have carried out to find who the author was." - this is currently lacking from the file. - Correct, the license change isn't really responsive to genuine issue: there's no source substantiating any claim. The anonymous license requires that a work be genuinely anonymous and intended as such (i.e., a source neglecting to mention an author or an author merely unknown to us is not sufficient). The other new, erroneous tag requires publication before 1923. The 1920 date is mere creation, which is entirely different. Эlcobbola talk 16:36, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

This uploader has not uploaded any images in 2013 and only 4 images in 2014. But this web site's link says on section "6.1.1. All objects placed on the Site, including design elements, text, graphic images, illustrations, scripts, software, music, sounds and other objects and their collections (hereinafter the Content) are subject to exclusive rights of the Site Administration, Users and other rights holders, all rights in these objects being reserved" & "6.1.4. The Content made available exclusively for the purpose of personal non-commercial use may be used by the User on the condition that all copyright marks or other authorship notices, name of the author and the work remain unchanged." - Du scheinst dich mit dem Urheberrecht und mit Commons nicht auszukennen. Dass ein Werk in den USA noch urheberrechtlich geschützt ist, spricht sehr wohl dagegen, eine Datei davon auf Commons zu laden. Und dass ein Werk vor 78 Jahren erschienen ist, heißt noch lange nicht, dass es jetzt frei ist. - Yes, you are right, the last sentence from that template has "In 2008, the Intellectual Property High Court affirmed the lower court's decision. The report states the "Japanese Intellectual Property High Court ruling that establishes the Tokyo District Court's September 2007 decision to be correct," and that "the preceding judge Nobuyoshi Tanaka is quoted as stressing that 'the copyright over films is protected for 38 years from the year after the death of the director.'"". After today identifying around 25 uploads as copyvio (grabbed from different Panoramio-/Flickr-accounts etc.) it´s difficult to believe that these remaining files would be own work: IMHO untrusted user uploading a bunch of copyrighted material (small/inconsistent resolutions, missing exif) so these ones (per COM:PRP) can't be believed either. Info Per User talk:Younis khosa qatar I am currently "cleaning" uploads by this user. The difficulty here is to differ between uploads previously published on uploaders 1530 images heavy Panoramio stream via http://www.panoramio.com/user/3308075?show=all (see also [2] + [3] + etc.) and works which were taken from copyrighted images by other (mostly Panoramio) user. So, files like File:Heavy snowfall, Fort Munro, D.G. Khan.jpg (and it's nominated redirect File:HEAVY SNOWFALL FORT MUNRO,D.G.KHAN.jpg) may be okay as also File:Snow fall, Fort Munro, D.G. Khan.jpg (nominated redirect: File:SNOW FALL FORT MUNRO,D.G.KHAN.jpg), considering cropped from http://www.panoramio.com/photo/84859868.- But e.g. File:Danish School, D.G. Khan.jpg (exif: Canon PowerShot A550, an obvious cropped photo) offers a digicam which (so far I could verify) was never used on his Commons and/or Panoramio uploads and might be a copyright violation too = nominating. I am a contributor to Wikipedia. I recently uploaded two U.S. Navy photos to WikiCommons. They were 131229-N-ZZ999-379 and 131229-N-ZZ999-378 Both images are annotated as follows: "U.S. Navy photo courtesy of the French navy by Frederic Duplouich/Released. The 131229-N-ZZ999-379 image has been nominated for deletion because the photographer is French Navy rather than US Navy, copyright unclear. Can you clarify this situation since it is my belief that the 131229-N-ZZ999-379 image is a public domain image. Ditto 131229-N-ZZ999-378. Thank you and could you expedit the response to this query?

Deux plaques (qui ne sont pas une oeuvre artistique) en l'honneur de soldats morts pour la France avec en fond la poste de Chalons en champagne, la porte d'entrée du bâtiment est un ancien monument de Chalons, je ne vois rien là de soumis à un copyright. Mais comme je ne sais pas pourquoi la photo est ^proposée à la suppression, je ne puis ajouter de détail spécifique.

I could not find any of them on the source web site, but the site has an explicit copyright notice. While the works themselves are, I think, all out of copyright, we have no permission for the photographs.

- The template which you have added states that there is permission, but gives no evidence of it. We need a free license from the museum, using the procedure at Commons:OTRS. If the museum writes a general license for all its works, then the OTRS number could be added to the template.
- Also, as I noted in the initial nomination, these are all tagged PD-Art, which cannot be applied to 3D works. While I think that all of the works pictured qualify as being out of copyright, the PD-Art tag must be removed and an appropriate tag added.

The "A" part of the logo may be too complex to fall under Commons:TOO#United_Kingdom per Commons:Deletion requests/Two British logos. I'm aware that content from the National Archives has been contributed to Commons under the [Open Government licence] however it includes the statement This licence does not cover: departmental or public sector organisation logos so if this logo does not fall under PD-text-logo (due to very low threshold of originality) then it needs to be under some other licence, unsure what. - I believe the "A" in the National Archives logo is simply a letter in a commercial font, rather than a custom design. The logo was uploaded as part of a GLAM partnership with the National Archives, but that project may be moribund. - Hello. <Waves hand> I was that GLAM project. Sort of. Thanks for pointing this out Paula. TNA are perfectly happy for the logo to be here. If people think the wrong licence is being used then that is the change that needs to be made. There's no need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Started this move two months ago in the cat's talkpg. Nonsense category, that serves no interest nor any type of helpfulness that I can think of, and I might be right because there is evidently no other country on Commons with this category. I can't think of any sound interest, educational, botanical or another, in "Brances in Israel" more than in "Branches in Canada" or "Leaves in Tanzania" or "Pollens in Ireland".
