Hey, I'm AntiCompositeNumber. I've been helping out on Commons for a bit over 4 years now, and I've picked up more than 13,000 edits in that time. I mostly do copyright-related work as well as various other gnomish tasks. I'm an OTRS agent, with access to the permissions queues and info-commons. The administrative toolset would allow me to better handle permissions tickets for files that have since been deleted and complaints of blatant copyvio. I'm also a license reviewer, file mover, and I patrol new files for likely copyright violations. I'm a bot operator, and would be able to help out with AbuseFilters and templates. I'd also like to help deal with the current DR backlog, which is what spurred this run. I'm generally knowledgeable about copyright law, but I know I have less knowledge in some areas. I would not close DRs or speedy files if I was not confident in my background knowledge and interpretation. Thanks for your consideration, feel free to ask me any questions. • When RZuo opposed I did of course check before I gave my support. The person that asked the question mention a move of the category "Damascus" to its Arab name and then ask if "دمشق" should be moved. Then AntiCompositeNumber explain what the policy is for category names. I do not think that AntiCompositeNumber gave a wrong answer. There was no link on "دمشق" so it was not clear that the question was about galleries. Also the answer is quite specific that it applies for categories. Even if we should think that the answer was not perfect I can't imagine how this should make AntiCompositeNumber unfit for being an admin. An admin is a user with extra tools. It is not a guarantee that the user will never make unclear answers or even mistakes. --MGA73 (talk) 10:23, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree and opposing an user based on that incident alone does not change my impression of AntiCompositeNumber one bit. T CellsTalk 16:22, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
