We have received a l list of 64 pictures from the pikiwiki project . at the top of the list it says the following:
"As of today, a query against the file/image db found some Pikiwiki related file pages which should be checked. Either there have been technical problems during upload or someone removed a REDIRECT after a file move. Following file pages appear to have no accompanying file:"
22 files from the following attached list are Ok. The only issue is that some of them ( not all) have comma or apostrophe in the name. Is it a problem?
The peculiar situation is that I cannot change the name as I do not have editor capabilities. I have asked in the past but did not receive a answer.
The list of the pictures that in our opinion are OK follows this message.

Herr Achim55, mit großer Überraschung konnte ich das Fehlen meiner Benutzerseite feststellen, indem ich mich mit meinem Wikipedia-Konto verbunden habe.
Ich konnte dann die Gründe für diese Löschung herausfinden: ein germanischer Benutzer (Sie) hatte diese Arbeit, die mich einige Zeit in Anspruch genommen hatte, ohne triftige Gründe gelöscht, außer Ihren Kriterien ohne Interesse: azertyuiopqsdfghjklmwxcvbn ...
Sofern Sie sich nicht irren, warne ich Sie, falls erforderlich, dass es dringend davon abgeraten wird, dies auf Wikipedia zu tun.
Ich denke, es wäre interessant, wenn Sie die Gründe für Ihr Vorgehen erläutern, damit ich diese Unzufriedenheit verstehen kann.
Es wäre natürlich feige von Ihnen, mir die Antwort zu verweigern, denn Respekt erlangt man nur durch eigenen Respekt.

Hallo Achim, dein unschuldiger redir-Edit[1] hat eine ziemliche Überflutung der speedy-Kategorie ausgelöst, dadurch dass Dateien, die vor teils vielen Jahren mit "Suppression Immédiate" markiert worden waren, was aber ohne jegliche Folge blieb, nun aufgepoppt sind. Die meisten davon ohne jegliche Löschbegründung. Andererseits ist es gut dass das jetzt ans Tageslicht kommt. Ein Nachteil ist aber, dass sich das Speedy-tag nicht mit dem Standardskript in eine DR umwandeln lässt; das muss komplett manuell erfolgen. --Túrelio (talk) 08:29, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

Ich werde die file pages des Uploaders aus Quebec zurücksetzen auf den Zustand vor dem DR, weil er auch die file desc entfernt hat. Er hatte die Fotos parallel auf seine inzwischen nicht mehr existierende Website und hier auf Commons hochgeladen und wollte nun wohl alles weg haben, allerdings 4 Jahre nach dem Upload. Moin, ich habe bei denen, die ich zwischenzeitlich bearbeitet hatte, so "je nachdem" entschieden, also mal den LA entfernt, wenn das Bild grundsätzlich brauchbar erschien, und manchmal halt gelöscht. Selbst die ganz frühen LAs waren ja sämtlich nach der G7-Spanne gestellt worden. Falls du aber Hinweise auf URV haben solltest, löschen wir besser alle. --Túrelio (talk) 08:41, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

Revert meiner Löschanträge
Hallo Achim55, ich habe am 2. Februar zahlreiche Löschanträge auf Weiterleitungen gestellt, Kontext war Halberstadt. Du hattest diese revertiert. Die zugehörigen Dateien hatte ich wegen eines durchgängigen Tippfehlers schon im Dezember verschoben. Das sind also alles sog. "Verschiebereste", die man besser entfernt, da sie dann nur noch Datenmüll darstellen. Ich möchte die Löschanträge daher demnächst wieder eintragen. Hallo JWBE, auf sprachbasierte Wikis werden ja keine Links von irgendwoanders herzeigen, da ist es ok, wenn Verschiebereste gelöscht werden. Weil aber keiner weiß, wo Dateien von Commons außerhalb der WM-Welt verlinkt sind, haben wir hier andere Regeln. Verschiebereste werden nur gelöscht, wenn die verschobene Datei nicht älter als eine Woche ist (mit Kulanz auch ein paar Tage mehr) oder auch (nach Ermessen), wenn der LA vom Ersteller der verschobenen Datei kommt. Beispiel: https://www.pikiwiki.org.il/image/view/89031 hat ein Bild von Commons eingebunden. Wenn das jetzt verschoben und die Weiterleitung gelöscht würde, schauten sie ins Leere. Wir machen das jetzt mal so: Du lädtst das Bild unter einem xbeliebigen Dateinamen hoch (keine oder minimale Dateibeschreibung falls nötig) und ich schiebe dann das Bild auf die richtige Dateiseite. Also, is it worth going back and deleting all of their Poland images, if they've been found to be faking or misdescribing these? File:Hel, Poland Spacer.jpg from a 2022 sock has some kind of freakish AI artefacts on the people's faces, suggesting that something is wrong with it. At best it's very bad AI upscaling of their own low res original, at worst it's an entirely fake image or a clumsy removal of someone else's watermarks. (They've done the same at File:Biedronka, Rotmanka, Poland.jpg today, which appears to be a fake picture; Google suggests that neither of the two branches of that store in Rotmanka look like this.) I still find it wild that Commons doesn't have a speedy deletion equivalent of Wikipedia's "created by banned or blocked users in violation of their ban or block" for subtle hoaxers and copyviolators, that if an LTA sock is blocked at Commons there often has to be a good faith deletion request on their latest uploads. It looks like a holiday photo to me. Given the user's history of apparently genuine photos of a town in England and uncontested copyvio/misdescribed photos of various towns in Poland, I would have expected this low-EXIF upload of a town in Poland to be deleted, rather than something that Commons users would have to prove the original source of. @Pikiwikisrael: Hi, I'm wondering why there are always 2 edits belonging together. Look at [8]: First, the file is uploaded and an "empty" file description page is generated automatically. The second edit enters the data to the file description page. Sometimes the 2nd edit comes quite late, see here, more than one hour later, or here 5 hours later. In the meantime the bot recognises that the file page has no license and therefore gives a message to you. It would be best if during upload the completely filled file description page were transferred simultanously in one process like to be seen here (random file). Ich hatte versucht, den Wikipedia Eintrag entsprechend zu aktualisieren, was jedoch abgelehnt wurde. Dann bitte ich draum, den Eintrag komplett zu löschen, da er so nicht der Wahrheit entspricht. Eine Änderung, oder Ergänzung, und einfügen eines Fotos zusammen mit Indira Ghandi wird ja nicht zugelassen, von Benutzer https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:W._Edlmeier - wurde dies abgewiesen. Seine beiden Söhne sind immer noch nicht über den Tod informiert. Das Nachlaßgericht hat keine Information über die Söhne (es besteht seit über 30 Jahren kein Kontakt). I recently visited Jaipur in India and took a photo of Samrat yantra. I uploaded the file as File:Samrat yantra Zoomed view.jpg but TSC tagged it for deletion. CGM1097, ja, da irrst du dich. Erstens ist nur eine kleine Teilmenge der Kategorien für den Benutzernamensraum gedacht (z. B. Category:Users in the United States), zweitens existierte die Kategorie gar nicht, und drittens wäre sie sogar als "out of naming scheme" gelöscht worden, wenn sie denn existierte. --Achim55 (talk) 19:09, 14 June 2023 (UTC)

In addition, user pages are meant to be used by people who contribute to our projects. What I mean is that as long as this redirect page exists users are pointed at it from several other pages like Category:First Ladies of Italy. This in turn likely will lead some user to think that category titles should be harmonized, and title "First Ladies of Estonia" should be therefore restored, eventhough this title would be incorrect. I'm afraid this is what already happened once (see page history). Hi Michael, I didn't count, as he used that many socks, so it's difficult, maybe 100 or even more. He uploaded not only images of paintings but also many photographs which I wouldn't undelete because IMO it's too cumbersome to check the licensing of each one. Achim55, you deleted File:Anaswaraaa.jpg which was requested by the uploader. Pretty much everything they've uploaded looks like it's been pulled from some website or another. They've also uploaded what I think I remember as looking like a cropped version of that file at File:AnashwaraRaajan.jpg. I'd be glad to start a deletion request, but wondering if it's similar enough for a speedy deletion for copyright issues, given the watermarking, lack of metadata, etc. Thanks! Hier beziehungsweise hier befindet sich eine eigenartige Auflistung von Bilder mit der Bemerkung: Mise à jour des fichiers Commons proposés à la suppression (Aktualisierung der zum Löschen vorgeschlagenen Commons-Dateien). Bei meiner Arbeit in der Wikipedia und Wikimedia fallen mir nur vereinzelt Bilder auf die meines Erachtens nicht den Anforderungen der Wikimedia entsprechen. Bin aber nicht alle Tage ausserhalb des deutschen Sprachraumes aktiv. Ich würde schreiben, bei den meisten davon kann man ein Auge im Sinne der Sache zudrücken. Aber das was da bei der Museumsbahn in der Westschweiz für eine Menge an Bilder von bekannten Internetseiten ohne Berechtigung einfach so auf die Wikimedia kopiert wurde ist schon schon auffallen. Wer kümmert sich eigentlich in welchem Zeitraum um die Löschung der illegalen Bilder in der Wikimedia wenn diese dann einmal in der Löschdiskussion sind? Hallo Transfer, es ist vorgekommen, dass hier auf Commons Dateien gelöscht wurden, die auf irgendwelchen Wikis in Benutzung waren, ohne dass es zeitnah bemerkt wurde. Daher erbringt der NaggoBot eine Dienstleistung, indem er Löschkandidaten listet, damit solche Bilder bei Bedarf rechtzeitig durch andere ersetzt werden können. Der hat also mit dem Löschvorgang an sich gar nichts zu tun. Eine reguläre Löschdiskussion ist hier üblicherweise für mindestens 7 Tage offen, kann aber bei Urheberrechtsverletzungen nach Ermessen auch vorzeitig von einem Admin geschlossen werden. Bei alten Fotos ist die Sache oftmals schwierig, wenn nicht bekannt ist, wer wann wo das Foto geschossen hat. Die Publikation eines Fotos, dessen Urheberrecht erloschen ist, in einem Buch der jüngeren Vergangenheit erzeugt schließlich kein neues Urheberrecht. Außerdem gibt es vereinzelt auch Webseiten, die behaupten, die Rechte zu besitzen, obwohl das gar nicht der Fall ist (sog. Schutzrechtsanmaßung). Gruß, Achim55 (talk) 15:08, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
... bitte? Hier ist ein Hinweis auf eine Datei, die Du offenbar gelöscht hattest, aber wenn ich die Sache richtig durchschaue, wurde gleich am nächsten Tag eine gleichnamige wieder hochgeladen. Ob das dasselbe Bild ist oder ein anderes, kann ich natürlich nicht erkennen, aber eine Freigabe durch den genannten Fotografen sehe ich jedenfalls nicht. Ja, es ist dasselbe Foto, erneut hochgeladen am Tag nach der Löschung. War im ersten Anlauf allerdings mit {{own}} gekennzeichnet, da ist das Löschen einfacher. I don't know if you remember, but yesterday I asked for self-publishing rights to update a government logo. I understand that you refused them, my contribution on Commons (unlike the parent Wikipedia) is minimal but I wanted to ask you if it is possible to have rights to update just that image. On the other hand, I wanted to ask you if it is possible that the modifications I have made in Wikidata with the IP 88.6.240.254 can be transferred to the modifications made with the user Daamu32. I had found that I should put User:Your username/IP on the IP discussion page but I'd rather be sure, so I'm asking.
Finally, just as an FYI, the image you reported to me yesterday for unclarified image rights, looks like it won't be accepted by the reviewing body so maybe it will disappear after a week.

Thank you for reverting this image file to its non-rotated version. I think it was rotated by mistake by User:Enueie82io. Unfortunately, for some reason it's still upside down in the BigBasket article, so I've had to remove it altogether for now.
