Molybdenum (Mo, atomic number 42). The ebeam remelted macro crystalline fragment of this silvery metal has a purity of 99.99 % ("4N"). For comparison, a high purity single crystalline (99.999 % = 5N) 1 cm3 molybdenum cube. The metal was discovered by Carl Wilhelm Scheele in 1778.

The Carina Nebula is a large bright nebula that surrounds several clusters of stars. It contains two of the most massive and luminous stars in our Milky Way galaxy, Eta Carinae and HD 93129A. Located 7500 light years away, the nebula itself spans some 260 light years across, about 7 times the size of the Orion Nebula, and is shown in all its glory in this mosaic. It is based on images collected with the 1.5-m Danish telescope at ESOs La Silla Observatory.

This chromolithograph from the year 1856 shows the waterfall Harsprånget in the polar night with the aurora borealis. The waterfall Harsprånget (former name: Njommelsaska) was the largest waterfall of the Swedish Lule River. Today there is the largest hydroelectric plant in Sweden Stora harsprånget.
