COM:PERSONAL Private image collections, e.g. private party photos, photos of yourself and your friends, your collection of holiday snaps and so on. Run of the mill family photos are not fine whiskey. They do not become better and educationally useful with age. It seems like this photo isn't quite PD yet. It was never published.This photo comes from a family photo album. It was photographed in 1925 and Johan Hagemeyer was the photographer. I think it should be allowed because there is no copyright on this photograph. Perhaps the license should be {Cc-by-sa-4.0-heirs|Greghenderson2006}. What do you think? Given the nature of the photo, I'd have to say it's more likely than not it was never published, like you've already said earlier. - A professional photographer could publish some photos, but that doesn't automatically publish every photo he's ever dated. These days, photos can be automatically tattooed with name of photographer and date, but back then that was done by writing manually with a pen. Creation is different from publication. - @Regend 3 indeed, this was the rationale given to open the discussion regarding the request. The picture can be considered as a reproduction (or derived work) of the signposts (the three-dimensional structure) and the sign itself, i.e. the media it contains (the two-dimensional storyboard). By default, Canadian copyright laws consider derivatives from two-dimensional works as a breach of copyright, but allows reproduction of 3D works, such as the structure holding it. See also COM:DW. Uncredited edit of https://aadyaa.com/products/maharashtrian-pearl-silver-nath-left-piercing-gold-plated-1, I assume passed through some kind of AI filter. - I do not think this file should be deleted. It's not copyrighted, nor is it art made by someone else, it's only a photoshopped portrait (of Wilhelm II I believe, or it at least looks like it) made to look like his eldest grandson (Prince Wilhelm of Prussia, 1906-1940) for the sake of an alternative history scenario. Here is the link where I had gotten it from originally:

- Unfortunately no. The only way to upload images onto ENWP is under the Fair Use doctrine and that doctrine only allows for images that are used on Wikipedia articles, not user pages Trade (talk) 19:48, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
