- I received an email from Philbous on this topic where he claims the Postcards File:MiyeouMiyePostcard.jpg &
File:Miye ou Miye Postcard 2.jpg are his. There was no claim on the other photos. The problem is the postcards depict other works of art without any information as to who created it. The uploader has had prior situations where he has been made aware of sculptor's rights to their sculptures, and that the postcards/collage style caused at least one of these same images to be deleted already. Both images are my own digital work but I may not have listed them correctly or used the wrong wizard -- there seem to be several wizards for uploading images on wiki -- these are images that are fair usage (historically no one made any income publishing or using these photos) and they have been used as the standard images for these individuals in many diverse publications world over for many years, including an e-book to which I have exclusive rights and permissions. The individuals in the photos are both now dead and there are no copyrights or incomes being made on these images. They are for common, universal informational purposes only. I was not given a way to reply prior to the Beltz note (none of the links worked). I've done what I could to correct the matter and discussed this with other wiki editors who did assist. - Delete Evidence that the image itself was not taken by uploader (Google Images shows widespread use for an image uploaded two months ago with claimed dates before upload here, but no comment on this by uploader). That's on top of the fact that even in countries with relatively lenient freedom of panorama, a copyrighted work of art like this would generally have to be situated permanently in a public place for free photos to be taken of it (and if this was taken in France, the rules on FoP- or lack of it- are much stricter than *that*).

- Keep I'm tired to see the "Unused" argument in deletion requests just because a file is not used on a Wikimedia website. For example, the first file is mentionned on a wiki (https://wiki.nuitdebout.fr/wiki/Ressources/Ressources_graphiques_de_la_Nuit_Debout) and is used to print stickers. The others are a logo and a tutorial about how to build a Nuit Debout (the French version of Occupy Wall Street).
- Unused and notability are not admissibles arguments to delete files on Commons. Those files are clearly in the scope of Wikimedia Commons. Pyb (talk) 19:19, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Delete I would disagree about the "unused" statement; as an administrator it is very helpful to know if a file is in use or not as part of the nomination. To complain about data being given to help the nomination is not helpful. Nominations are for talking about the actual files. These do not fit COM:SCOPE even if someone prints stickers from them. - Part of the cc-by-sa declaration is that you can not withdraw the license at a later time. But if you can make yourself known as the original author (and not as an ip-address ;_) I think the image can be made author-less, or the author name can be changed into a nickname instead of your real name. The first two are credited to "An Assamese Book", with no further information that would allow us to identify the book, and no evidence that those books or the images were released under CC BY-SA 4.0. I couldn't find a non-Wikipedia source for the third, but it looks highly professional, and given the apparent misunderstandings about copyright shown in the first two I would be reluctant to accept a claim of "own work" for it without some further explanation. --Huon (talk) 18:32, 16 July 2016 (UTC)

To be honest, I have not understood yet the problem with some of my pictures and I haven't got any further explanation on your words (I could see something on the "FOP" link you left) I guess you mean that there are some policies related to the buildings on UAE that my images don't follow. I can say that I took some pictures in there and I have't asked anyone on the UAE if he/she mind about using images of his country. - In my opinion, the skylines are not {{Deminimis}}. Every building in these images is copyrighted, it's not in the "sense" of the law to "stack" copyrighted objects and so make them free. I expect dozens of more copyvio images to be uploaded here, including: this one. I'm not sure if people aren't aware of no FOP there or just intentionally "testing our no-FOP policy on UAE". I would also want to suggest filtering out exactly the words "Burj Khalifa" so that new users will no longer be able to upload images either containing the said words in their file names or in their file descriptions, at least temporarily (while UAE has no FOP for photos). - @JWilz12345: Excessive file name restrictions are bad. Suppose someone uploaded a file name of the Dubai Skyline with Burj Khalifa as "Remote view of Burj Khalifa". Skyline photos with Burj Khalifa are allowed even if there is no freedom of panorama in UAE, as last deletion discussion concluded that they were OK. If images bearing such file names continue to be uploaded, the location filled with millions of deleted files from late-2006 may become "crowded" in the very distant future. Besides files do not get "deleted" in real life, but rather all "deleted" files are still there, just hidden from non-admins (as per Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) on his reply here). - Keep skyline images. De minimis use of the Burj Khalifa, there’s a precedent for this. The freedom of panorama page of English Wikipedia literally shows a skyline in a non-FOP country. I struggle to see why the images that just show the base aren’t de minimis but that’s not my expertise. The blacked-out version is artistically interesting but a ridiculous solution to a nonexistent problem (buildings are not more copyrighted because they’re famous and impossible not to notice in a generic panorama!) The original uploader on en.wp was blocked in 2009 for uploading copyright violations (en:Special:Contributions/Yaminjanjua) but unfortunately the blocking admin (Moonriddengirl) didn't delete all their files and they have over the years made their way to Commons.
All of these files are of low resolution, only one that I could see have EXIF data, which usually indicates they have been snagged from around the net by the uploader.
A review of their en.wp logs add further evidence that something is not quite right with the uploads of that person.
Unfortunately, these files have been on these projects for going on 10 years, but given the above information they really should be deleted.
