- I think we both make the same claim, however, I just can't see any credibility to the idea that it's not useful, just because you say it's not. It wouldn't matter how many different articles someone inserted the image into. you'd just claim they are making a point about it being useful when in fact you say it's not. I think I should just append 'Ecemaml has spoken' to the discussion :D rather than point out the image is an excellent image with great composure and is useful.

The Way Back Machine captured several published there in 2007 (those images nominated as speedies - see uploader talk), but that service does not index all pages. Uploader even uploaded File:Logo-top-haa.jpg, the site's logo, with the same self licensing. In addition to the "haa" in several of the file names, certain images are currently present on that museum's Facebook page (e.g., .File:East_room-haa.jpg is here) Ignoring the obvious haa copyvios, strange that a museum would take images of its own exhibits from an external source and fail to attribute them. DUCK?

It is REALLY hard to explain the difference between a typical Thai and a typical Vietnamese man using plain text compared to how easy it is with a few illustrations. - Depends on the usage and the editors, if they all agree it's an important addition and not controversial, it's in. Same as Mist lifting off cedars it's not cedars, it's juniper and used to illustrate the juniper article. A picture of a circle doesn't need a reference stating it's a circle, because it's apparent and far from controversial. In specialist fields, there is general knowledge common to people working in that field. Like a typical picture of a doctor. When nobody is arguing, it's pointless to create new policy that says everything needs a reference. On File:Sailors of Minas Geraes 2.jpg I just make stuff up, nobody cares, they like it. - I can refer you to the original research policy that rules any wikipedia article. You know it perfectly. The point here is that you claim that this picture can be used to illustrate a specific ethnic group. Unfortunately, we don't know which one. Moreover, the guys in this ethnic group does not wear fancy clothes identifying them as physicians are. Therefore, claiming that this guy is a, let's say, a Vietnamese, is just a daring guess. Therefore, we simple can't use it for any encyclopaedic article or content as we don't know anything about this person. You and me know that this being a multilingual project is yet another marketing message but I can't do it better. Going back to your arguments, I have to recognize your flexibility updating your argumentation. The point was, as explained, that if this guy could be identified somehow (not posting personal information, which goes against wikipedia rules) the image would be useful and thus in scope. At first, you just provided some nice guess (Vietnamese, Thai) that was absolutely wrong. Now you seem to have found information that makes the picture be useful and therefore I now support your initial statement ( Keep). - Probably someone called 'Mujtaba Hussain' I have no idea and do not care if they are a nobody or not, it's useful for other things, anthropology, fashion, beards (what would you call that?). I think if it is a known but non-notable person that helps identify this as a typical resident of the city of Dubai, plus you can find out their ancestry for anthropology studies. When you want to learn about China, you look at articles that show maps, pictures of the buildings, pictures of the technology, pictures of the transport, the food, the clothing, the leaders, the ports, but don't forget the people ! :) If you write up an article on fashion in Dubai, wow, this is a nice image isn't it ? - You're talking to an artist who has spent the last six months trying to make a free image to illustrate an article in three languages, about a boy who is a singer. It showed to me that we don't have one single image of a typical Mongolian boy or a Mongolian boy's eye. There are barren categories and barren unillustrated articles out there, and the way to fix things starts by not making it worse. Just pick half a dozen ethnic groups and then go looking for one each of a man, woman, and child and you'll see the actual problem pretty fast. The images are just not there. If it is REQUIRED that a man, woman, AND child is notable before we have an image, PLUS that image has to be a free image, it will NEVER happen. - You're talking to an artist who has spent the last six months trying to make a free image to illustrate an article in three languages, about a boy who is a singer. It showed to me that we don't have one single image of a typical Mongolian boy or a Mongolian boy's eye. There are barren categories and barren unillustrated articles out there, and the way to fix things starts by not making it worse. Just pick half a dozen ethnic groups and then go looking for one each of a man, woman, and child and you'll see the actual problem pretty fast. The images are just not there. If it is REQUIRED that a man, woman, AND child is notable before we have an image, PLUS that image has to be a free image, it will NEVER happen. - Probably someone called 'Mujtaba Hussain' I have no idea and do not care if they are a nobody or not, it's useful for other things, anthropology, fashion, beards (what would you call that?). I think if it is a known but non-notable person that helps identify this as a typical resident of the city of Dubai, plus you can find out their ancestry for anthropology studies. When you want to learn about China, you look at articles that show maps, pictures of the buildings, pictures of the technology, pictures of the transport, the food, the clothing, the leaders, the ports, but don't forget the people ! :) If you write up an article on fashion in Dubai, wow, this is a nice image isn't it ? - Delete As per Psychonaut, the logo has sufficient creativity. The left and right sides of the letters form a round outer shape of the logo while a torch is positioned in the centre whose two legs are connected to the both letters.

This may or may not be below the realtively high Threshold of Originality in the USA as argued above, but it is certainly well above the ToO in many countries. Since we do not know the ToO in North Korea -- indeed, we do not know if there is any case law on the subject -- COM:PRP requires us to assume that the ToO is relatively low and that this has a copyright. .
