Page 30 of this presentation is an image of "Thank you" card in German (Danke-karte), in which the credits at page 31 attributes it to "Marco Verch, CC BY 2.0". Marco Verch files have been deleted due to reasons at Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Images by Marco Verch and Commons:Deletion requests/undefinedMarco Verch, as the Flickr user is infamous for utilizing his files as a front for extortion and scams. Images first published on Facebook. Once posted (equivalent to publication) on Facebook, an image automatically falls under Facebook's Terms of Use licensing which is not compatible with Commons:Licensing#Acceptable licenses. While these are good images, as much as possible, the original-quality and/or original versions of the images should be uploaded on Commons instead of the Facebook-posted images. If that's not possible, an email correspondence to release these FB-licensed image under free license is required via COM:OTRS (to have the image truly submitted under acceptable free licensing and surrendered from incompatible FB licensing).

- Hello @Xander Wu: . Unfortunately, every content on Facebook, including your photos, have become subjected to Facebook's license. In its Terms of Use under "3. The permissions you give us", Facebook states that you own your content you post there. But, it also states:
However, to provide our services we need you to give us some legal permissions (known as a ‘license’) to use this content....Specifically, when you share, post, or upload content that is covered by intellectual property rights on or in connection with our Products, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content (consistent with your privacy and application settings)....
- This FB license has been considered by the community as unfit for the licensing policy of Wikimedia Commons, sadly. The issue is not about physical ownership, but conflict of Facebook licensing and Commons licensing. However, there are still 2 things to do to keep these images of yours, @Xander Wu:
- Hopefully, you still have your original photos of these. Please upload and overwrite these two FB-posted images of yours, as soon as possible.

- @JWilz12345: Your statements about Facebook are very misleading. Facebook's licensing terms are completely irrelevant to this discussion (except for the part that says they are non-exclusive - you even included that part in bold when you quoted those terms). The copyright owner can apply as many incompatible non-exclusive licenses as they like to their work.
- What we actually require is evidence of one of the following:
- The work is in the public domain.
- The uploader is the copyright owner.
- The copyright owner has otherwise applied a licence acceptable to Commons to their work.
- On a related point, if the copyright owner does apply a Creative Commons licence or any other licence to their work, this does not terminate the Facebook licence. - @JWilz12345: You are correct that files with Facebook metadata are often up for deletion. But you are wrong about the explanation.
- The correct explanation is: Facebook metadata is evidence of prior publication. We treat prior publication the same way, regardless of whether it is on Facebook or some other site. Prior publication means that anyone could have downloaded the image from the other site and uploaded it to Commons with whatever licence tag they like. That means that, if we look at the upload itself, we have no evidence that the copyright owner has applied an acceptable licence. (If we look elsewhere, we may find such evidence. Based on the overboard interpretation of COM:TOO China, the majority of the Chinese Cooperate and Organization logos should be deleted from the commons as well. Again, this interpretation is too board and the cases cited in the COM:TOO China are trademark violations(e.g. trying to register the same logo in mainland China). These precedents do not cover acceptable use scenarios such as "in order to engage in criticism, commentary, news reporting and other forms of noncommercial expression" defined in the US copyright and trademark laws. Although China definitely has a different legal system, the court should and would consider scenarios differently. What's more, the Chinese legal system does not follow judicial precedent, which means for every case, the court would review if the law applies in the scenario brought forth.

I could also imply that by not specifying what copyright you have, then they are not interested in owning the image and therefore it would be in the public domain. Unless you prove that it is copyrighted, you cannot delete the image. Most scientists have no interest in these things, they just upload the image to share the information, they are not going to get more known or anything else involved in copyright, it is just to disclose the information. It is for this reason that it is in the public domain.--

Two things: Firstly, if this file was kept after being cropped (due to lack of FoP in the concerned country) then the original image should have to be deleted. Secondly, the sticker is a propaganda medium by the church that has distributed it, as it reflects the internet site of that institution. - I do not agree that it is difficult to read. It shows a very simple manner the mathematical relationships between the various units of time that are used in Hindu philosophy. This information is scattered across multiple places but is not present anywhere in a coherent manner. - The data being right or wrong wasn't being questioned. You don't have any sourcing for your data, so it seems to me that you should be proving your data correct with reliable sourcing instead of relying on someone else to prove it wrong. Also, there seems to be some misleading or incorrect information in the table. As far as I know, Hindu texts don't mention the "modern" Big Bang theory, which you added to this "Hindu" time units image. You also added a "modern" calculation for the age of the Earth, which as far as I have read, should not exceed a kalpa, but be the elapsed time in the current kalpa. If you added the "modern" calculations as a comparison to "Hindu" calculations, then it is misleading not to label them as such, which in my opinion "modern" data is irrelevant in the context of presenting "Hindu" units of time. I am familiar with the Hindu units of time and the data you presented, but to a common Wikipedia reader it will be difficult to decipher all the foreign terms without links, footnotes, or citations to help, especially if the image is displayed on a page that doesn't explain all the foreign terms. - The last seven monuments were unveiled in 1912 (cf. inscription in File:Памятник лейб-гвардии Литовскому полку (от Литовского полка).(T3-2012).jpg) >> PD-RusEmpire. The others can be deleted for FOP, but then, they're just a drop in the ocean (cf. Category:Victory Monument (Moscow) not counting scores of uncategorised, mis-categorised etc.). Non-free photographs of 3D-objects, taken from external sources without free licenses. As per Commons:Currency#Important points, a picture of a 3D-object creates in most jurisdictions a new copyright on the picture. So even if the objects are in the public domain, the photographers' permissions are still required.

- Большинство этих фото из того же источника - (Гос.Исторический музей: сайт https://catalog.shm.ru; их изображения свободны для образовательных целей(чему соответствует Wikipedia)) и с той же лицензией (PD-RU-exempt|type=orders, decorations and medals), что и аналогичные царские награды, использованные в Wikipedia (например - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:StAndrew_All.jpg ). - T3ru, вы заблуждаетесь. Условия: © Государственный исторический музей, 2018. Все права защищены / All rights reserved - это наиболее строгий запрет из всех возможных. Какие разрешения должен давать ресурс для возможности загрузки его контента сюда, смотрите на странице COM:Лицензирование#Разрешённые лицензии - это и есть самые единые-преединые правила для всех изображений, включая эти награды. --VLu (talk) 20:33, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
Deleted: per nomination. The uploader is right that awards themselves would be PD-RU-exempt but 3D photos of these awards create new copyright. If all these awards would have been photographed by you, for example, you could license them under some of the free licenses and they would be kept as PD-RU-exempt + your free license. Viola Tycz is an contemporary Polish painter and graphic designer. Several years ago someone without her knowledge uploaded 43 files using above mentioned account. Vast majority of the files are her 2D works, but there are also pictures of her 3D installations and from her exhibitions taken by other photographers. After she contacted us via OTRS - she agreed to leave 5 files uploaded by her agent (User:BartekNowowiejski and asked to delete all those uploaded by user Viola Tycz, which are all - in fact her or other authors copyright violation. See ticket:2020111910010083.
Please, don't ask me to add deletion template to all those files - this is job to be done by bot if it really is needed. User Viola tycz has been informed.

According to the Austrian copyright law, which is very similar to the German one: "Stained glass windows are visible from the inside as well as from the outside; they are therefore part of the interior as well as part of the exterior view. Their isolated reproduction is also permitted by photographs taken from inside, simply because they are part of the building." See OGH judgement dated 12.07.1994

- Also according to the Swiss copyright law (in which the term panoramic freedom explicitly does not exist), investigations by the user DidiWeidmann show that interior photographs of churches (including windows) are permitted.

- Since there is obviously no consistent interpretation of the copyright laws in question, it certainly matters what drives the requester to act this way. If he is on a mission, he will not be convinced by dissenting opinions. These dubious requests for deletion will be repeated and cause further trouble and annoyance. [edit]These are works (glass windows in churches) by Alfred Manessier, who died in 1993. They are located in churches in France and Switzerland. Accd. to COM:FOP, there is no freedom of panorama in France (at least none that is free enough for Commons) and none inside churches in Switzerland.

No proof of permission.
Per description, image comes from this page (original unavailable – transferred here). Not only it does not appear there (may be hidden in one of the videos), but on the archived original we can't see any proof for the 'Free to use as long as the source is provided' statement – all it says in the footer is 'Un produs New Media Group ©2009' (from Romanian: 'Product of New Media Group ©2009').
