- I opined for deletion -also- because we had a better version, File:Hidesh ikibi.JPG, which was deleted on a similar DR. In that image we could see the face of the musician. I have no idea if there is a personality issue involved, but if we are not going to delete or keep both, it could be better to delete this one and undelete the other one. IMHO, of course. - Keep The photo in Prensa Noticias was taken on 4 September 2017, and was earlier than the other image which was advertised on 23 or 24 September 2017, and had a banner upon it. The original image of 4 Sept. was taken for helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey, not for flirting with Oklahoma Quarterback Baker Mayfield. Khalifa found the pic useful also for it. - The purpose is to write about the question, not about the editor. The links led to 23 and 24 of September 2017, but the image was advertised by Prensa Noticias on 4 September 2017. Nothing was false. Only Khalifa and Prensa Noticias know what went between them. It has already written in Commons: "It's always possible they got a separate license from the copyright owner of the underlying work, or failing that, they are simply committing a copyright violation and are willing to take the risk. - Very clear plagiarism. No doubt Irving Penn's representatives can bring a lawsuit against the uploader for imitating exactly the same style : Black and white photograph, black painted eyes, mouth wide open, white background, naked body, same format and composition. The original idea belongs to Irving Penn (moral rights), not to Dorieo (nor Samantha Schimpf?). So these are copyright infringements.
- The picture was found at the Wikipedia entry for Irving Penn.

- Derivative works from a non-free media are not legal. This image found on the WP page misled me of course, and for a very good reason, because it is such a flagrant copy, in all way similar to a well known creation copyrighted by Irving Penn. Other people also may have been deceived by this illustration hosted on a free licensing platform. It looks like one of a series. But my comment at the top of this page has been amended, thanks for notifying this.
- See an example of plagiarism which cost a lot to the copier. And the similarities were much less explicit than in this case.

User has previously uploaded File:Amar Nyaupane Photo by RK Adhipta Giri.jpg and claimed to be the copyright owner but later wrote that the subject had sent the photo to him/her by mail and that the subject allows use on Wikipedia. Questions regarding why user claims to own the copyright of a photo that the subject has sent by mail has not been answered. File was deleted as suspected copyright violation by administrator User:Túrelio.
Different phtotographers are credit in the file names but User:Prakash Chandra Sigdel has uploaded these photos as own work. For these reasons there remains considerable doubts as to the copyright status of the following files:

- Comment - Trade - My understanding is that they copyright holder has requested they be removed. If in fact the account belongs to the copyright holder? These photos seemed to be taken from a Facebook page and uploaded under an account. That same account requested the deletion. Leaning towardsAlready deleted was a different picture with the same file name. That one was sourced from Getty Images and therefore speedily deleted as a copyright violation (by Yann). But apart from the file name, nothing is the same here (different uploader, different picture). The rather low, snapshot quality (looks like cropped from a larger image) might even be supportive of "own work". I think I don't see a convincing reason for deletion here, as I also don't find the image anywhere else on the web (only sites that mirror Wikipedia content, as it's used in English Wikipedia). It is important if the image is used in an article or not. Since it is historically wrong in several places. Greece, Bulgaria or Romania were not colonial powers. Nevertheless, these countries are classified as colonial powers in blue. Also in many other European countries the colored background is not correct. This can lead to misunderstandings for the reader. Therefore I ask for a deletion. The Republic of Turkey had never been occupied, since the Republic was founded in 1923. The assumption, which you describe in time corresponds to the antique and not the colonial age. After the World War 1, the Ottoman Empire was occupied in today's Syria, Iraq, Western Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia. But not Central Anatolia, as this was the basis for Turkish resistance. Do not spread false informations, please.

- Keep, I don't like this map and while it has several inaccuracies it is still usable to map the territories of the world colonised by Europe from about 1700 onwards, the Ottoman Empire is an Asian country, it doesn't matter if it was a colonial power as it was first created in Asia by Asians who later conquered Constantinople. Asia Minor itself was occupied after World War I and the areas not under European administration should be light blue as the Turks needed to gain their independence again following their defeat. The area that is now Turkey occupied by other powers and has also been part of the territory of a colonial power. Other territories are also flawed (when was Iceland an Empire or a colonial power ?) and all the difficulties makes the maps useless. - You are making a number of assumptions that are not based on the information in the file. You say that "this map simply uses Europe as a base", however, this is not consistent with the information in the file named "European empires". The description in the file explicitly defines the countries in the burgundy colour as: "European metropoles". And that is the exact problem with the file: In order to make it fit into just a little bit of reality, it is necessary to make a number of assumptions and exeptions that do not appear from the file or the documentation. - Delete The whole continent of Europe is marked as "European metropoles", while most of the European states never controlled territories outside Europe, and some of them were depended territories or colonies by themselves. The peoples of these countries might take part in colonisation by migrating to colonies, but it is not correct to consider, e.g., Ireland as the metropole of the USA, just like it is not correct to consider Congo as the metropole of the USA.
