Matanya is one of the most experienced admins in the Hebrew Wikipedia. He is courteous has a keen eye for copyright violations. He is also a positive contributor to Commons, uploading many images and moving images from en.wikipedia and he.wikipedia. He speaks Hebrew and English and may assist speakers of both languages here in Commons. Finally, he is an OTRS volunteer. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 07:50, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I just wanted to say, that my main goal would be helping translating commons to Hebrew, which is not very friendly right now to RTL users.

I presume my experience in file namespace in he wikipedia, and being one of the very first admins there show that my attitude is correct. Any how, vote as you feel according to what you feel is the right way to vote. matanya talk 20:43, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Support as nominator. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 07:50, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose I will oppose it at this time. Although the user is transferring a lot of images to Commons (great), and he filed several DR in the last few days, he has almost no interactions with other users through User Talk pages or through pages in Commons namespace. He also has no edits in Template or Category namespace and very few edits in file namespace other than initial upload. Due to this minimal involvement in Commons it is hard to judge his knowledge of copyright issues, people skills and knowledge of inner-working of Commons. --Jarekt (talk) 13:09, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose, per Jarekt. Also, I counted just 10 items on the candidate's deleted contributions list, which show very little involvement in dealing with deletions (copyright violations, duplicates, bad names, missing source or permission, etc.) on Commons. –Tryphon 13:19, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Quite little involvement in dealing with deletion requests and finding copyvios. --High Contrast (talk) 16:20, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support useful contributions, experience from he, brings in language competence --Mbdortmund (talk) 21:38, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Would like to see some more experience in various other areas, per Jarekt, first.  fetchcomms 04:03, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
