Hello! Location maps never show text because they are used in almost all projects and some of them don't even use Latin letters. That's why I will revert to the last version of this file. Of course you can upload your version as a new file. NNW 12:29, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Use of photo
[edit]Hello, I would like to contact you about permission to use one of your photographs: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Rep.Moldova-Codru.jpg in a publication (non-commercial) I am working on. The work would be credited as follows: “Rep-Moldova-Codru” by Julieta39, CC BY-SA 4.0. Please contact me at fuenvan@yahoo.com at your earliest convenience. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 158.232.3.98 (talk) 15:08, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
Presumption of guilt on Commons
[edit]I understand that e-mail agreements are not enough for a picture. But I deplore that my maps, which are unpublished, are deleted without consultation as "violating the copyright" of the sources that I quote, whereas these sources do not present maps, but only data, or have maps different from mine (it is easy to verify this difference). --Julieta39 (talk) 14:23, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Pr. Ion Borcea.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Pr. Ion Borcea.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Copyright violations
[edit]
Hello Julieta39.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

Merci, --Julieta39 (talk) 10:33, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
I would suggest that when you radically retouch someone else's photo, as you did at File:Bucureşti - Biserica Sfântul Elefterie.jpg, you should upload under a different name and indicate it as a derivative work, rather than overwrite the original. There are several reasons for this: one is that retouching to this extent certainly creates separate rights for your derivative work (which should be indicated as yours). Another is that the original uploader may not be happy with such a major change to what is credited as that person's work.
This is not a judgement on whether the new version is good or bad, just that it is a distinct, derived work. - Jmabel ! talk 07:04, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- OK I will did it with the pictures also. With the maps I must already do it, except if, as Bourrichon, the first uploader accept the improving of his document, --Julieta39 (talk) 10:33, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, sure, if you know that the original author welcomes the improvement, that is fine. - Jmabel ! talk 17:25, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

Original research. Wikimedia Commons is abused to add this garbage into other Wikipedias. Anybody is free to color black and white images or create imaginary coat of arms, but adding them into dozens of articles as if they are historically accurate is the worst form of original research. A thorough review of all this user's uploads is warranted. I also suspect him of being just one avatar of a wider sockpuppet farm. Mihai (talk) 20:02, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
- We must be coherent: if this version with azure stain is a "garbage" (what friendly opinion!), then the color versions appearing on all Romanian coats of arms (here [6], here [7], here [8], here [9] or here [10]) are also "garbage". On a hand, this means that all the heraldists who since the 19th century have chosen versions with azure stain, were incompetent and did "worst forms of original research". On the other hand, all these color versions may be erased and replaced with argent stain versions, according with the black-and-white books from which the black & white versions are uploaded (as D. Gusti, Constantin Orghidan, Mircea Vulcanescu & Virgiliu Leonte, Enciclopedia României, Imprimeria Naţională. Bucureşti 1938-1943). --Julieta39 (talk) 16:02, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
EN: Hello, I have some annotations to your new uploaded file. Your abbreviations do not fit. Montenegro (MN) has the ISO-code ME, North Macedonia still has MK (the Car plates have NMK) and Kosovo still does not have an ISO-code but nobody use KV. You have the choice. There are RKS (car plate) or quite simply KS. Usually there is XK or XKX too. But I think KS would be fine. Moreover Slovenia has SI and Bosnia and Hercegovina BA. Kind regards, --ElmedinRKS (talk) 19:40, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
- Ich werde diese Karte korrigieren!, --Julieta39 (talk) 16:03, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi, Julieta39, I beg to differ: the Dobruja was ceded by Romania according to the Treaty of Bucharest, not "leased" to the Central Powers, as you suggested. Please see the Article X, paragraph b of the treaty: "b. Roumania cedes to the Allied Powers the part of the Dobrudja situated to the north of the new frontier line described in paragraph a, down to the Danube and exactly between the forking of the river and the Black Sea even to St. George's Arm. The Danube frontier between the territories ceded to the Allied Powers and Roumania will follow the thalweg of the stream. The details regarding the determination of the thalweg must be agreed upon between the interested Powers immediately after the signing of the peace treaty; the delimitation will take place in the autumn of 1918 at low-water mark. The Allied Powers will see to it that Roumania obtains a guaranteed commercial road to the Black Sea by way of Cernavoda and Constanza." See also the German translation: "Rumänien tritt an die verbündeten Mächte den nördlich unter der a beschriebenen neuen Grenzlinie liegenden teil der Dobrudscha bis zur Donau ab, und zwar zwischen der Gabelung des Stromes und dem Schwaren Meere bis zum St. Georgsarm." That should be made clear in the map. Please also see that according to the 1st article of the preliminary peace Treaty of Buftea, Romania had already agreed to cede Dobruja, and according to the Protocol of transfer of Northern Dobruja to Bulgaria and the correction of the Bulgarian-Turkish border on the Maritsa river, the Central Powers agreed to transfer the rest of Northern Dobruja to Bulgaria. That wouldn't have been possible if the territory had belonged to Romania. Cheers, Mentatus (talk) 08:25, 25 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]I want to make a Russian version of the map of the Khazar Khaganate. Can you send me this map in swg format? --Максим Кузахметов (talk) 21:42, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Maksim Kuzahmetov! Sorry but I can work only with Photoshop (producing .png, .jpg, .pdf, etc bitmap images, but not .svg). About the east-roman languages and the area of the "vlachs" we have only three certainties: 1- all the contradictory nationalist theories are probably wrong because present Romania, Thessaly & Pindus are out onf the main romanisation-area of the Dacian-Thracian peoples (the both banks of the Low-Danube in the northern slopes of the Stara-Planina Balkans - see Konstantin Jirecek's line); 2- the main activity of the romance-speaking people between 270 and 1270 was pastoral transhumance as shepherds, and sheep, wool and cheese trade, so their nomadic life does not allow us to assign them a closed and precise place to live; 3- the byzantine sources cite them where they met them: to the south (present Greece) and the russian sources (Повѣсть времяньныхъ лѣтъ) cite them where the Rus' people met them: on the north (present Romania). But about the "vlachs" (word meaning again today "romance-speaking person" and "shepherd" in many modern languages: olàh, vlahos, vlas, vlas...), the nationalist history and modern sources wants to assign them and their origins in a little area exclusively in present Greece and Macedonia (austrian and mainly hungarian historians) or, on the contrary, exclusively in Romania (romanian, south-slavic and greek historians). That's why, on the Khazars map, as a middle solution, I placed them near the Iron Gates of the Danube. --Julieta39 (talk) 10:01, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- I guess this is the map that Maksim is talking about: File:Chasaren.jpg, uploaded here again: File: Khazar Empire.jpg. The only solution to get the vectorial version is to ask the original author, Frode Inge Helland. Or, maybe, to remake the map with the SRTM base and rewrite in Russian.--Kunok Kipcsak (talk) 12:26, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Russian Empire in 1918?
[edit]Julieta39, where did you get that Russian Empire existed in 1918? Maybe you would change that inscription to something like German Empire occupation zone? How about? Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 05:18, 16 September 2020 (UTC) /You're right. Done! --Julieta39 (talk) 15:48, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Julieta39, I like do not want to bug you, but may be I was not specific. I was talking about that label "Russian Empire" in place when in 1918 there actually were forming Polish territories under Regency Council. It is not a big of a deal. Whatever is clever. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 23:12, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- ooh, I just noticed changes, looks good, moving on. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 23:13, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:LanguesMoldavie.jpg.
File:Romia Imperio.png
[edit]Hej Julieta, I saw that in 2020 you added two "new roman provinces" (Alpes & Taurida) to the file Romia Imperio.png of 2007 originally made by me, without explanation, which was equally without explanation was reverted by someone afterwards. If you've got good arguments stating that Alpes & Taurida were firmly established roman provinces in 116, then I wouldn't fight against addition of them to the map, in contrary, I would support you. I just saw your presenting text on your user page, and would subscribe every word of it - being part of a family that currently has members in Lithuania, Germany, Bulgaria, the Americas, Israel and the border between Turkey and Syria, being a doctor who has many dear patients from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Palestine as from all parts of the EU, and representing the Esperanto wikipedia here, which is using the by spirit most international language of all, in which nevertheless nationalistic and overpatriotic views come creeping in by some ideologists from time to time, but are reverted as long as the energy doing so is enough... So I'm not at all into fighting in Wikipedia, but am into supporting whatever argument is presented convincingly. See me as a colleague who can be a good supporter when convinced. O duminica buna sa aveti. ThomasPusch (talk) 12:53, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
