Thanks for uploading File:Anti-war protests in Moldova.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Anti-war protests in Moldova.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

File:2023 Nigerien Crisis Reactions in Africa.png
[edit]We find your map regarding the 2023 Nigerien crisis very well made due to the fact that you highlighted the difference between political and military support work and I was wondering if you are able to crop it to only show ECOWAS member states as we would like to use this map in the 2023 Nigerien crisis Wikipedia article's infobox. U2You Too (talk) 13:17, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, give me a bit. Thank you. DinoSoupCanada (talk) 15:48, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- The problem here is that the ECOWAS members that support the coup were already suspended prior to the coup, so it's hard to say whether or not they're real members. Anyway, ECOWAS is a key player here so it is right to show military and political support and it is also right to show Niger and its allies. It just so happens that the counties in/that were in ECOWAS are the most important.
- I would ask that if this is inserted into the article, that it is described as the situation in West Africa.
- File:2023 Nigerien Crisis Reaction (West Africa-ECOWAS).png DinoSoupCanada (talk) 16:10, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! If it's possible, may we ask for an update? New sources confirms that all active ECOWAS member states, with the exception of Cape Verde & Liberia have declared military opposition. U2You Too (talk) 07:08, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Done! Sorry for doing it a bit late. DinoSoupCanada (talk) 15:45, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you once again! U2You Too (talk) 17:09, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Good day! We'd like to make another request, Liberia is no longer opposing military intervention, leaving only Cape Verde as the sole ECOWAS member state still only diplomatically opposing the coup. Could we get an updated map as a result? Could you also include Cape Verde in the new version of the map so we are able to highlight its opposition to military intervention? Thank you! Hi, DinoSoupCanada. What do the blue-red-circles mean? And what does this symbol next to Re'im mean? Could you please add an explanation to this file? -- Chaddy (talk) 16:12, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Ah, blue-red means that these settlements are contested, I guess? -- Chaddy (talk) 16:16, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Blue green is contested, the symbol next to Re'im indicates military base, as used in the detailed Syrian war map DinoSoupCanada (talk) 16:24, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, that's green, not red? :D Then that's the next problem: For people like me with a en:Congenital red–green color blindness the color choice is not that good.
- And thank you for the explanation! -- Chaddy (talk) 16:30, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- oh ok! ill change the colors abit DinoSoupCanada (talk) 17:23, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
