There is no freedom of panorama in Romania. The architect en:Petre Antonescu died in 1965 and the arc of triumph is protected with copyright until 2036 (70+1 years from death). Taivo (talk) 09:12, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
- Keep those kept in previous discussions. There is no point in reiterating the same arguments again and again every time someone decides to clean up the category. There has to be some equivalent of ro:Format:păstrat here, right?... Strainu (talk) 15:23, 30 May 2019 (UTC)
- No. These files were kept due to formal reasons. Nevertheless they violate architect's copyright. Taivo (talk) 08:20, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- Not at all. I distinctly remember discussing at least File:1976 Street in Bucuresti, Romania.jpg and File:Nicolae Ionescu - Pretzel vendors in uniform in front of the Triumph Arch.jpg (and likely others which I don't remember by name) in depth in previous discussion, presenting why they don't break the copyright. It is your right to disagree with the arguments there, but you should present serious counter-arguments, not a generic no FoP in Romania. Doing so is a huge waste of everyone's time, not to mention rude.--Strainu (talk) 15:43, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
- If you mean Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Accademia di Romania (Rome), then three users participated, De728631 (the nominator) suggested to delete all of them, Giku suggested to delete most of them and you suggested to keep all of them. The request was withdrawn, because some files were incorrectly listed and are not included into this request. File:1976 Street in Bucuresti, Romania.jpg was the only image thoroughly discussed and it was shown, that arc of triumph is the main object of the image. No file in current request was shown not to violate copyright. Pretzel vendors image was not discussed at all, but looking how the image is used (in 7 projects to illustrate arc of triumph, in no projects to illustrate street vendors), it's clear, that arc of triumph is main object of the photo. Taivo (talk) 14:54, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
- You misquote me: I asked for a certain number of images to be kept in addition to the ones mentioned by Giku and the nominator agreed with some of the requests. I call that a discussion.
- As to using the Wikipedia usages to determine the main subject of the image, your logic is deeply flawed: Wikipedia cannot use a fair usage image as long as a free one exists, which means we are forced to use whatever is on commons and depicts the arch. That does not mean that the arch is the main subject of the picture. Strainu (talk) 16:57, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

- Keep I agree with Straniu and MSClaudiu. They are both administrators upon the roman language projects and they clearly know what they think. --Hazuala Finfin (talk) 14:45, 18 June 2019 (UTC)
- Delete I can't see the reason for the discussion. Nobody has denied the lack of FoP in Romania. Thus, no more discussion is needed. --Discasto talk 14:53, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- Keep per Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Accademia di Romania (Rome), only a few months ago. Johnbod (talk) 12:40, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
