Works by Petre Antonescu
[edit]The architect Petre Antonescu died in 1965. At the time of his death the copyright term in Romania was 50 years pma, and during this term a copyright extension to 70 years was introduced in 1996. Therefore his works are still copyrighted and non-free until 2035 2036 ("...shall be calculated from the first of January of the year following the author’s death" [1]). There is no real freedom of panorama in Romania either, since images of architecture may only be published for non-commercial purposes, so we can't use these photos.

There are more images in other subcategories. I did not nominate those photos where the building in question is not the main subject (de minimis), but the following images should qualifiy for a breach of copyright.

- Keep File:Bucharest-Calea-Victoriei-Aerial-View.jpg, File:1976 Street in Bucuresti, Romania.jpg, File:Protest against corruption - Bucharest 2017 - Arcul de Triumf - 2.jpg, per de minimis. Delete the rest. Gikü (talk) 16:02, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- I would agree with the first and last one, but imho File:1976 Street in Bucuresti, Romania.jpg is still a prominent depiction of the arch, so not de minimis. De728631 (talk) 16:18, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- Actually, File:1976 Street in Bucuresti, Romania.jpg is a very good composition where the arch is not the main subject of the picture (not being the main subject is the criteria for FoP in Romania).
- Then what is the main subject? The yellow car (blurry), or the building very far in the background (out of focus)? The image is dominated by the arch, and the focus is on the inscription on the arch. De728631 (talk) 15:36, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- The inscription on the arch is barely readable even at full zoom because of the wires and trees. For me, the thing that the photographer wanted to catch is the street. Why? Because of the name, as well as the presence of all the important monuments that are in the axis if the street: the arch and Casa Scânteii. It is a great illustration for an article about Bd. Kiseleff in Bucharest. Strainu (talk) 08:20, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

- Keep In addition to the ones above, also File:Nicolae Ionescu - Pretzel vendors in uniform in front of the Triumph Arch.jpg, File:Iosif Berman - Copii cântând la vioară în centrul Bucureştiului în perioada interbelică.jpg, File:Protest against corruption - Bucharest 2017 - Arcul de Triumf - 3.jpg, File:Protest against corruption - Bucharest 2017 - Arcul de Triumf.jpg, File:Bucharest-Calea-Victoriei-Aerial-View.jpg since the buildings are not the main subject of the image. Being the main subject of the image is one of the criteria required by the Romanian law in the paragraph about FoP (art. 33 (1) h).--Strainu (talk) 04:24, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- Keep File:Bucharest_Day_3_-_Splaiul_Independentei_(9335681431).jpg does not contain any part of the Adriatica Building and none of the buildings is the main subject of the image.--Strainu (talk) 04:41, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying this. It's obviously in the wrong category, so I'll take your word on it. Withdrawn. De728631 (talk) 15:36, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
