I nominated this a few days ago and It was kept (Long story short I disagreed with the closure and it all got rather confusing), Anyway I believe the glares on the image make the image overall useless to be included anywhere and I still believe it wouldn't be used anywhere and is pretty much a useless file, BTW I just to want make it absolutely clear that whatever the outcome I won't be reverting anyone! .... - Keep Per Tuvalkin. @Davey2010: The photo is obviously of poor quality, but we really don't seem to have any better image of the same thing.. if we did, I'd say delete this. It's a judgement call (noone seems to think it's a copyright problem, or anything similar), obviously, but in such a case you'd do better to not just dismiss other editor's legitimate opinions as 'not valid'. "The best freely licensed image we have of a subject" is a reasonable argument for keeping an image, even a 'poor' one, until we get something better. You might not personally think it's a 'good' argument, but it's certainly a 'legitimate' one when the entire issue (how bad is 'too bad') is a matter of opinion. - Hmm, maybe this is not a good idea, all things considered. In Commons most DR closings, even those closed to keep, are done by admins… Sure, some non-admins sometimes do close DRs, but to be on the safe side would be better not to do so. [edit]No confidence that any of these images was created by uploader. Two of the images are the same, one has camera metadata, the others do not. The subject matter is all single-topic and the pimages are highly variable in size, quality, style and so on. Probable COM:COPYVIOs without additional information. The portrait of the man in overalls was published several years ago and is in wide use on the internet, see http://www.redescena.net/espectaculo/28204/chifo-de-trilocos-de-tve-nos-vamos-de-pi-nos-vamos-de-pa/ and many other examples.

- Well, that's no evidence of copyright violation. That file has a server timestamp of 2014-09-16, which is after the PNG version was uploaded to Commons (2014-06-26). The domain name was registered on 2013-10-28, which is after the GIF version was uploaded to Commons (2011-08-13). Google Images search shows there are a *large* number of news sites using this pair of images with dates around 15-16 August 2013 (i.e. three days before) in stories relating to the launch of the concept car. This very strongly suggests that they were released by the company itself. If the Flickr user is the original photographer *and* has permission to release them under the claimed license, there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate that. Another case of probable Flickrwashing.

Deleted, this is text of song, which was published in 1988 in Argentina. Author himself died in 2012. Apparently the quality is not very bad, because the file is used in es.wiki and so it is in scope. But I delete it as copyright violation. Literary works of Argentina are protected until 70 years after death (until 2083). And the work is protected in USA per URAA until 95 years from publishing (until 2084). These images are scans of various documents and images related to en:Draft:Stefan Semchyshyn. They were uploaded by User:Jcheung852 who according to a discussion I had with them in the IRC help channel is Dr Semchyshyn's "ghostwriter". Many of those images are obvious copyright violations. That's most obvious for the "3a" to "3e" series which includes scans of newspaer articles, a magazine cover, and various awards Dr Semchyshyn has been given. All were marked as Jcheung852's own work. The scans may be, but the newspaper articles are not. Similarly, the "8", "9" and "10" series contain scans of various documents about Dr Semchyshyn by third parties, violating those third parties' copyright. "2" is a scan of a magazine article by Dr Semchyshyn himself; while it's possible that Dr Semchyshyn owns the copyright and would be willing to release that text under an appropriate CC license, there is no evidence that he has actually done so. The other images are a little more ambiguous; it's theoretically possible that Jcheung852 was present when Dr Semchyshyn met Mother Teresa, that seems rather unlikely, and by the precautionary principle we should delete them along with the obvious copyright violations since Jcheung852 obviously by "own work" only referred to either the scan or the uploading, not to the photos themselves. It seems to me, that this is not architecture, but sculpture. There is no freedom of panorama in Russia for sculpture.

Obvious case of Flickrwashing and should not have been transferred to Commons, at least not on that pretext. (If someone wishes to make the case that some of the older adverts *might* be out of copyright, then feel free to provide this information; however, that was not the original rationale, and was not given upon upload as it should have been).

- Looking at the images' layouts and content all can be classified as advertisements. There are no copyrights specific to the advertisement as a whole on any of the images. There are authorship statements (considered as copyrights even though there is no circled c?) on cadillac 1961 and 1957, however these apply to a specific jewelry design and clothing design, respectfully. Per COM:IDENT this needs to be deleted. The person depicted is in a private place and likely has a reasonable expectation of privacy. The photograph is no longer available on Flickr...it might very well have been taken down as the person depicted didn't consent to it's publication. Also extremely problemativ is that since 2010 this photo has had the description of "Fat kid yawn". I realise this photo is in use, but this does not stop the issues raised here from being valid grounds for deletion.
