- Comment: after some reading on logo copyright I think this could be in Germany a so called "Geschmacksmuster" (instead of a "real" copyright) but I don't know if it's registered as such. It's certainly based on the image you mention but not a direct trace :) Freehand with a graphics tablet. I would have tried to make it substantially different, except it was the only source image I could find, so I didn't have enough information to change it too much. I tried to change the perspective a little, eg. drew it so that the head was closer to the viewer and the tail further away. If it is still too close to the original then by all means remove it.

- Unfortunately it is close enough that it does fall in the gray area for copyvios. One thing that I was interested in was the lack of gills in the illustration which are clear in the fossils themselves and the lack of "fins" indicative of anomalocarids. What about adding the gills and fins, and switching the preservative so the head is facing left and the animal is angled down a little. --Kevmin (talk) 01:06, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

COM:PS. Not realistically usable (except maybe one example for the plane freaks). There are also other imagesof the same series where the same wing covers a large proportion of the image but they can somehow be cropped to something meaningful.

- Of course those images are usable. I haven't heard anybody saying so far that "images not usable" is a fitting deleting reason in this project. Don't forget that we are not only providing images for all Wikimedia projects, but also provide a database for free images with educational purpose! - These images were cropped down to a point, where there's nothing creative in the image, only a dark microphone with four letters. The license is right.
