Hello, guys. I used to be an admin here in 2010-2018 (my previous adminship request is here) and now would be happy to return back.

To give you some background: I am originally from ru.wiki and was a sysop and bureaucrat in 2010-2017. I was also active in OTRS queue and that's how I was nominated for an admin status here as it was useful to have delete/restore option along with the OTRS access.

It happens that people become tired because of all that disputes and discussions, then the hobby that you like turns into a non-pleasing duty. I've understood that I needed a break and voluntarily rejected by 'crat and sysop flags in ru.wiki in 2017 and here I agreed to be desysoped for inactivity in 2018.

This year I have returned back and now I feel fun from participating in Wikimedia movement, again. I took some lessons from my previous break and concentrate more on content creation, avoiding various non-productive internal affairs.

I still like working with files and still work on transfers of free files from ru.wiki along with reviewing local files with incorrect licensing, duplicates, etc. (I regained a bit of sysop rights in ru.wiki: we have a flag called "closers" with "delete" right).

When working with local files I regularly find Commons duplicates that are incorrectly licensed or were uploaded just to avoid local deletion. I also see ru.wiki users that are less familiar with licensing rules and check them both here and locally.

I believe that I will be useful with the sysop flag here, I am active again and I think I have updated my knowledge with what happens now in Commons. rubin16 (talk) 09:30, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
