I'd say we're in need of more administrators, due to a growing backlog of deletion requests, particularly copyvios, and we happen to have at least one user who seems well suited for this. And so I nominate our very own Gestumblindi. Gestumblindi is a reasonably active long-term user on the Commons, active in seeking out copyvio issues, and most importantly: well-versed in copyright law in a number of countries (see here, and take a look at Gestumblindi's other deletion requests, as well). --Quintucket (talk) 23:20, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I accept the nomination; see also this dialogue with the nominator for a bit more about me. Personally, I feel quite comfortable and confident here on Commons; I also think that I have a reasonable grasp of Commons deletion policy and that I could be of help. The main focus of my activity will still remain in the German-language Wikipedia, however, see my user page there. Gestumblindi (talk) 00:47, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alright; though I'm not particularly fond of those boxes as an element of userpage design in general, I can see the usefulness in babelboxes in a multi-lingual project, so I added them now. Gestumblindi (talk) 03:30, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
gsw-0 and fr-0, really? --Leyo 09:40, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
From a linguistic point of view, gsw is als, and as we have only an Alemannic Wikipedia and not a separate Swiss German one, I stick to als ; als+gsw would seem strange to me. I also "boxed" only the languages I feel comfortable communicating in; my French is too poor. I have also some poor knowledge of Icelandic, just to mention it here ;-) Gestumblindi (talk) 19:34, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
