There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 06:43, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Signature images.
[edit]I reference all my sources on my images. I apologize that I have not licensed the images properly. This is no way vandalism, please keep it calm, I do not appreciate such comments about my work that I take time, and effort to reproduce and trace into vector format. I find that SVGs are clearer, and can get the image across more clearly. I trace the images as accurately as I can, so there are no distinct differences to the source. There is no need to report this. I'm sure some people are well aware that I do trace and insert signature images quite frequently. Connormah (talk) 16:18, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thelad101, I just wanted to let you know that your comment here is not appropriate. Here is why:
- First, it is very rude.
- Second, you should refrain from making legal threats. If this were on Wikipedia, you would be likely banned for making those comments under the Wikipedia:No legal threats policy.
- Third, you didn't even license your uploaded images correctly. A signature, like ones uploaded by you, cannot usually be copyrighted. They should be all tagged with PD-ineligible or PD-signature. Basically, there is nothing artistic in signing your name, so there's no copyright possible. Please read Commons:When to use the PD-signature tag.
- Fourth, even assuming that your CC licensing of these scanned images is correct (which it's not), Connormah has the right to modify in almost any way your CC-licensed images. --Blargh29 (talk) 05:38, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Thelad101. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Thelad101~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
