Blocked Indefinitely
Blocked Indefinitely
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing Commons. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may add {{Unblock}} below this message explaining clearly why you should be unblocked. For more information, see Appealing a block.
See the block log for the reason that you have been blocked and the name of the administrator who blocked you. Despite the discussion here and despite that several of your deletions requests have been rejected you keep filibustering the process and you keep re-nominating those files. Clearly you are not interested in providing content anymore but because of you others have a lot of work. Since you are not willing to accept that your uploads are not going to be deleted it seems best that your edit rights are terminated indefinitely, until you decide to stop your frustrating behaviour. Plus you are violating the terms of use since you are trying to make the licence invalid by accusing Commons of violating the licensing terms.

Zgodnie z notką o następującej treści If the circumstances surrounding this file have changed in a notable manner, you may re-nominate this file or ask for it to be undeleted. --polar123 (talk) 12:35, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that you didnot understand my motivation in English or google translate is not able to translate your last message correctly. Maybe |Jarekt or Ankry can help? They are both admins and have Polish as their first language.
  • @Jarekt: you willing to help?
  • @Ankry: you willing to help?

Natuur12, polar123 emailed me asking for help in understanding what is going on. I did not have a chance to read much of the exchanges but from what I can gather everybody is talking about something else. Polar123 does not say anything about a license, all he is saying is that someone was criticizing WikiLovesMonuments that the produce way too much of low quality of images, and that they should focus on quality not quantity. It seems Polar123 decided to fix the problem by filing deletion request for each of his images that did not meet his standards. I will write to him and explain what is going on. --Jarekt (talk) 01:59, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for helping, he actually did talk about Commons violating the licensing terms at Jim's talk page after he refused to delete his images. And violating the licensing terms does terminate the license. And it's a same that they critisized WLM, and a lot of Polar123's images are pretty good so deleting them would be a waste. What Polar123 is concerned about is that all CC files on Commons or Wikipedia are not properly attributed when used in Wikipedia articles, he understands the concept of the attribution by linking, but he does not think it is compatible with CC license. Apparently he is discussing this issue at Polish forums and consulting http://creativecommons.pl/ . People were discussing this for years and his position seems reasonable to me, although he might be a decade late for this discussion. Anyway, Polar123 agrees not to seek deletion of his files on the "poor quality" so "out of scope" grounds. He might seek in the future the deletion on the "Commons violating the licensing terms" grounds after more debates on the subject on Polish forums, but I introduced him to the concept mass deletion request, so he is not going to swamp the DR queue with 500+ identical requests. I assume that the block was instituted to stop the flooding of the DR queue and Polar123 promises not to do it anymore, so I would propose to unblock him. --Jarekt (talk) 15:20, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Jarekt: Thanks for solving this. I will unblock his account and we all know how it looks when somebody's deletions are rejected and that he than plays the the licensing terms are violated card. Natuur12 (talk) 13:47, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Unblocking is done. Natuur12 (talk) 13:48, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 Thank you.--Jarekt (talk) 14:50, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Dzięki. --polar123 (talk) 17:21, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Global account

[edit]

Hi Polar123! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Cheers, —DerHexer (Talk) 20:24, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
