Pflanze aus Ecuador

[edit]

Servus!

Image deletion warning Image:Tabarz_old_town_hall_2007_01.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.
In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

--Mazbln 20:05, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kosovo

[edit]

I saw you posted some comments related to Kosovo dispute 3 months a go.

You might be interested in my proposal.

If you like the idea, you might want to help me implement it.

Regards.

--Ante Perkovic 10:38, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree to your compromise proposal. But I will not start to implement it since I have still a lot of sites (especially in the German Wikipedia) to work that I will barely find the time to do that. --Mazbln 18:53, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vevi

[edit]

I just want to thank you for uploading your pictures from the macedonian village of Vevi - I used them in the bg article bg:Баница (Ном Лерин). If you have any other pictures from villages and towns in Greek Macedonia I will be very thankful if you upload them as well. :-)--Мико (talk) 15:33, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will check my photographs from my this yeasr's travel through the Balkans which also broght me to Greek Macedonia but I doubt that there are much more relevant pictures. Regarding Vevi: You wrote in the German Wikipedia that some of its inhabitants considered themselves Bulgarian. Do you have any sources for that statement? --Mazbln (talk) 20:31, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
-} You seem to know the Macedonian question well - before the rise of Macedonism in the 20-s the Slaves in Macedonia had mainly Bg and to a lesser extent Gr and Sr consciousness. As for Banitsa in particular without any research I can offer you François Pouqueville in Voyage de la Grèce - "Banitza - Bulgarian village with 120 families.", Victor Grigorovich - Bantsi Баньци Bulgarian villageГригорович, В. Очеркъ путешествiя по Европейской Турцiи, Москва, 1877, стр.93., Johann Georg von Hahn - "Banitza ein aus 130 bulgarischen Hausern bestendes Dorf" J.G.v Hahn "Reise von Belgrad nach Salonik", Wien 1861, 121., Stephan Verkovic - Banitsa 141 Bulgarian familis, 682 inhabitants - Стефан Веркович. 1889. But the question is general of course and in en wiki seems to be resolved by "Bulg/Mac" which seems absolutely fair.--Мико (talk) 08:23, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will leave it as it is. The problem of the question what is Bulgarian/what is (Slavic) Macedonian consciousness? is probably to difficult to solve it on the name of a Greek Macedonian village. ----Mazbln (talk) 17:18, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beste Grüße --Mazbln (talk) 19:00, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You for the Wikipedia Picture

[edit]

Hello, My name is Duane Hurst and I recently made a free (non-commercial) English web site to share information with people. I added links to your Wikipedia/Wikimedia freeware picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ecuador_SanguayNationalPark.JPG). I also gave credit to you on my web pages for your work. Thank you for sharing with the public. My website is:

http://www.freeenglishsite.com/

I add pictures such as yours to one of the following major sections of my site: 1. World section - contains information and over 10,000 images of every world country and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/index.htm

2. USA section - contains information and images of every USA state and territory. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/world/usa/index.htm

3. English section - "Mel and Wes" lessons in conversation format. Stories are located in various USA states and world countries such as China, England, Germany, Japan, Mexico and Thailand. Each lesson has many slang terms and idioms, which I link to my Slang Dictionary. This eventually will have over 5,000 terms. Currently, it has about 3,000 slang and idioms. I regularly add new lessons and slang terms. Link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/english/lessons/index.htm Slang Dictionary link at: http://www.freeenglishsite.com/english/slang/Eslang_a.htm

Prior to retirement, I taught English at several private and public universities in the United States.

Please share this free site with your friends. I hope all will enjoy the pictures and find the English information useful. Sincerely,  Duane Hurst in Utah, USA

Picture of the Year 2013 R2 Announcement

[edit]

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2013 is open!

[edit]
2012 Picture of the Year: A pair of European Bee-eaters in Ariège, France.

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 7 March 2014. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Commons:Picture_of_the_Year/2013/Introduction/en Click here to learn more and vote »]

Wiki Loves Monuments 2014 startet in Kürze

[edit]

Hallo Mazbln,

Mazbln (talk) 19:23, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Vielen Dank dir. -- sk (talk) 20:17, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
