To don't mean to belabor the point, but not all statues are created equal. Statues by an artist in a museum tend to be copyrighted works of art. This was not a copyrighted work of art, so the nominator was mistaken. I would hope you would check these things, and that just because it was nominated doesn't mean you can't check. Here and here are other recent public memorials that likewise are not a copyrighted works of art. If I upload this again, will there be a problem?--Patrickneil (talk) 15:38, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, it seems so, the latest version also have a very low number of pixels (Image:Biden at economic forum 2003 crop.jpg). I think it is overcropped, do we need a special size?. Also the image of Sahra Pallin you cropped (Image:Palin Kuwait Crop.jpg), it is also overcropped, we allready have a cropped version with Image:Sarah Palin Kuwait Crop2.jpg, so i dont thinkt that we need another one. --Martin H. Hi again, im not able to use graphic programs like photoshop (yes, they are maybe realy simple, but i didnt use them), i simply use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Make sure, that you downloaded the highest resolution of the image (original size on Flickr, "save target" on Commons) and just crop them. I cant give you more tips. --Martin H. While I thought something I admit was half ӕhsed was better than abandoning my little project, I sure appreciate your stepping in and uploading a decent image. Would you consider helping me either do a slightly tighter crop on the Palin pic so it matches Biden's or vice versa (a slightley less tight crop of the Biden pic so it matches Palin's)? Which would assist the pix's utility here ( → "United States vice-presidential debate, 2008") if you'd be so kind. photo submission

I have submitted several more images. I hope I have done it correctly this time. I hold the copyright, and resale right to any of these images. But, I think I forgot to strip the credit line off the images when I sent the descriptions. I hope this is not a problem. I have shot some for AP, and other publications, but I retain the right to redistriute them. If it is a problem, I can redo, and resubmitt. I have a lot of images that I think would be useful. Hi, just wrote you an Flickr message. The source of some images may confuse our standard process to handel flickr images:

• the images are different licenced at Commons and Flickr
• there are sometimes different resolutions

It should be no problem, we have to adjust our process, not your work. Please see Image:PET_SKUNK.JPG, i changed the source a bit: The image is your own work, there is another version (with a different licence) on Flickr. Hi, i do not understand this edition. The image was from flickr, and if you had review it before removing the tag, you would have seen that there is a problem with the license. About my images

The images that have "tribunadiez.com.ar" on their description is because they are from that webpage. The author not only let me do it, he even thanked me for putting them and mentioning the webpage so people would visit them more. I have an email that says that, I can send it to you i don't care. The cropped top of the image you said it's because a friend send it to me that way. A lot of those images were tajen by me. I had this problem before i can't see a reason why they should be deleted. I only uploaded them here because wikipedia send me here when i wanted to upload an image. Deleting my images not only would be a lack of respect to me as i said to another user, it would mean hours and hours of time wasted for nothing. Please don't delete them. If you say that some images have copyright issues, i will modify their description and permissions from the images that the authors of "tribuna10.com.ar" have passed to me because they are the only ones that are not mine.--Topitoxx (talk) 00:09, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

So I can't use any logos even if I use the right permission? What's with you against the images? I can't see a reason why any of them should be deleted. I only uploaded them because I wanted the world to see how the football teams from my provicne look like and know about them. Only because I love local sport, I didn't know that I would have so many people annoying about some stuff I even arranged them. I uploaded them because I see here that some images are missing where the rubric "escudo" is. Some guy even erased a whole article about a team named Club Atlético Central Norte Argentino that had all internal links and respective references that showed that it was real (references leading to webpages of local newspapers or sites were they showed history about the team) because it was an "article without enciclopedic reference". There are millions of articles without images or references that anyone touches them, no, they had to erase the articles I write that have all the proofs to show reality. What's the deal with anything why is so hard to do things here?.

Como você pode perceber são imagens utilizadas para ilustrar os artigos da Wikipédia, as quais, além de completar as informações, valorizam a matéria sob o aspecto visual.

Existem dois tipos de imagens:

1. as que eu fotografei com as minhas câmeras fotográficas;

2. as fotos reproduzidas dos sites policiais citados, já que os artigos que escrevo são sobre as polícias. Não existe nenhuma violação de direitos autorais no uso dessas fotos, porque os governos as divulgam para propaganda da sua ação administrativa. Não existe governo no mundo que ao comprar uma frota de automóveis, aviões, navios ou outros equipamentos não faça uma grande divulgação e aguarde que essa propaganda se reproduza através das pessoas que a veêm. Os sites policiais mostram as imagens dos equipamento para a sua divulgação e difusão das informações apresentadas.

Eu lamento profundamente que ao tentar colaborar com a Wikipédia nos assuntos de polícia, os quais eu conheço, tenha todas as minhas imagens colocadas sob suspeita, criando um obstáculo para o trabalho que eu faço. Essa atitude não traz prejuízo para o trabalho filantrópico do usuário, destinado exclusivamente à outras pessoas, mas, certamente, pode contribuír para afastar muitos usuários da Wikipédia.

Os artigos da Wikipédia apresentam uma paginação feia e antiquada. Sem as fotos ficam pior ainda e com menos interesse. Seja mais maleável nas suas interpretações e ajude a Wikipédia a ser cada vez melhor. Esqueça os seus "superiores" do Commons.

I am the uploader and sole contributor to Image:Gooderham3.jpg and Image:Gooderham4.jpg.

You asked why I asked for administrative deletion.

I had the following exchange over those two images: [5], [6], [7], [8]

In my final message I acknowledged I couldn't justify keeping both images, and said I would ask for deletion of Image:Gooderham3.jpg.

I can't remember a good reason to keep both, so I have asked for administrative deletion of the other one.

Yes - no problem at all as far as I am concerned, just worth keeping an eye.

Thats similar in other languages, in german it is löschen (a verb), it is generally used in context with fire or candles, it is also common in text editing in every context and it is also used in other contexts (thirst...). I submitted all required ducumentation over a year ago showing that Hanmunhwa Multimedia, which holds the rights to the photo of Ilchi Lee, had released it for use on Wikipedia. In that regard, I have the consent of the individual to use this photo on Wikipedia. However, should I ask him for the original, and in what way can he give official consent to having his photo used.
