Categories about queens

Hi, MB-one. I saw your change to Category:Photographs of Victoria of the United Kingdom, where you replaced the photographs of monarchs category with photographs of queens. The monarchs category is still needed, though, because not all queens are monarchs. Victoria was a monarch because the was a ruling queen ("queen regnant"), but some queens are queens consort, meaning that they have the title of queen because they are married to a king, but the queen herself is not a monarch. Quality images of objects

How picture of people, already in proper QI category is an image of object? This category is very general, are you sure all of the results of some scan should be included there? -- Jakubhal 08:54, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

@Jakubhal Thanks. That helped a lot. I think, I found the "problem": both Groups of people by country and Groups of animals are indrectly categorized as Objects by setting. Mein konkreter Vorschlag: Hör auf damit! Wenn es denn wenigstens mit Botflag geschähe, so dass dieser völlige Schwachsinn einem nicht die Beo so zumüllen würde, dass sie unbrauchbar wird. Und jetzt kommen immer noch mehr solche bot-erstellten Kategorien, die es nie geben dürfte, da sie eben automatisch erzeugt werden. Was kommt noch? Quality images of sportspeople in Thuringia in May 2022 with yellow dress?

Und zum Adressaten: Ich kann mich nur an den wenden, der die Bearbeitungen durchführt, die Hintergründe kenne ich nicht, und sie interessieren mich auch nicht. Ich bin inzwischen maximal von diesem Unfug genervt. Du führst die Edits durch, also bist Du auch für diese verantwortlich. So einfach ist das. Danke für den Hinweis mit dem Botflag. Ich prüfe mal, warum das von Quickcategories nicht gesetzt wird. Bzgl. der vergebenen Kategorien scheint allerdings ein Missverständnis vorzuliegen. Die sind keineswegs durch Bots erstellt. Auch ich habe in diesem Zusammenhang keine spezifischeren Kategorien erstellt, als schon vorhanden. Quality images of sportspeople in Thuringia in May 2022 with yellow dress wird also vermutlich Phantasie bleiben. Für die Edits übernehme ich natürlich die Verantwortung. Wenn einzelne Edits tatsächlich objektiv fehlerhaft sind, bin ich für jeden Hinweis dankbar und werde sie korrigieren. Abgesehen von dem fehlenden Botflag, würde mich tatsächlich interessieren, wieso dich diese Edits nerven. Sie machen schließlich nichts kaputt (zumindest nicht, solange es vorher "heile" war) und erleichtern die Suche nach guten Bildern. Mich stört mangelnde Kategorisierung viel eher, weil sie die effektive Nutzung (grade unserer besten Bilder) erschwert. MB-one (talk) 16:54, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

Ich sehe einfach keinen Sinn darin, PetScan-Ergebnisse in Kategorien zu speichern. Das hat meines Erachtens nichts mit "mangelnder Kategorisierung" zu tun, sondern mit der falschen Auswahl der Werkzeuge. Wenn ich es mir mit PetScan anzeigen lassen kann, ist eine Kategorie überflüssig. Wichtig sind Kategorien, die sich nicht automatisch ermitteln lassen. Stepro (talk) 14:44, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Eine Anmerkung. Du hast eine Kategorietiefe von 7 für deine Suche gewählt - und einen sehr allgemeinen Begriff. Das ist schon recht sportlich, zumal Zuordnungen mit jedem Level schwammiger werden. Eine so große Aktion kann man eigentlich nur durchführen, indem man mit einer überschaubaren Anzahl beginnt und Fehler analysiert. Nach zwei, drei Runden hat man zumindest große Problemstellen entdeckt. Die Personen wären so zumindest aufgefallen. Die große Anzahl in Category:Quality images of objects muss unbedingt wieder reduziert werden. Die Kategorie ist so nicht brauchbar. Länderspezifische Kategorien sind vorhanden, spezielle Unterkategorien auch. Bitte bring das in Ordnung, bevor die weitere Aktionen startest. Danke! --XRay 💬 05:12, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Eine geringere Kategorietiefe würde mehr Fehler durch Überkategorisierung verursachen, nicht weniger. Theoretisch würde unbegrenzte Kategorietiefe die besten Ergebnisse bringen. Leider sind die Queries dann nicht mehr ausführbar. 7 hat sich als guter Kompromiss herauskristallisiert, so dass Fehler durch Überkategorisierung weitestgehend vermieden werden können. So lange einzelne Fehler systematisch auftauchen, lassen sich diese zum Glück auch leicht korrigieren (siehe Personen). Ja, per COM:CAT sollen alle Dateien nach Möglichkeit in die spezifischste existierende Kategorie. Genau das ist aber auch das Ziel der Aktion. Dies ist jedoch der erste Schritt, der die weiteren Schritte erst ermöglicht. Wenn dich die allgemeine Kategorie in einer bestimmten Datei stört, spricht natürlich nichts dagegen, sie in eine passendere Unterkategorie zu verschieben. MB-one (talk) 06:59, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Das Verschieben in die Unterkategorien hatte ich bereits vor Monaten gemacht. Nun sind da aber mehr als 10.000 Dateien und bei vielen nicht ersichtlich, warum sie überhaupt in "Quality images of objects" gelandet sind. Aus diesem Pool möchte ich nichts verschieben. Und ich denke (=Annahme, aber auch Erfahrungen aus eigenen Kategorisierungen), dass 7 Kategorien definitiv zu viel sind. Hast du denn vorher mal ausgewertet, was für Dateien damit überhaupt gefunden werden? Wenn die Tiefe noch größer würde, triffst du zwar auf Dateien, die nicht in "Quality images of objects" zu finden sind, die aber von der Thematik auch weit davon entfernt sind. Diverse Analysen hatte ich auch schon mal gemacht, bei 3 bis 5 Ebenen war Schluss, da die Zugehörigkeit zur eigentlichen Ebene (hier "Objects") kaum noch zu finden war. Schau dir einfach mal an, welche Kategorien in "Objects by setting" zu finden sind. Versuch mal nachzuvollziehen, woher der Bezug bei den Bildern kommt. Manchmal findet man ihn, manchmal ist er aber auch gänzlich unsichtbar. Ich möchte dich doch bitten, Category:Quality images of objects dringend aufzuräumen, bevor du weitere Aktionen startest. Ich helfe immer gerne, aber diesen Zustand halte ich für inakzeptabel. Da möchte ich nicht ansetzen. Wenn ich von den meiner Meinung nach nicht korrekt eingeordneten Bilder welche zum Beispiel in Category:Quality images of objects in Germany verschieben würde - nur weil es Bilder aus Deutschland sind, werden die Bilder nur weiter versteckt. Mir scheint, dass wir ein unterschiedliches Verständnis des Kategoriensystems haben. Das die Unterkategorie "weit entfernt" von der Hauptkategorie ist, heißt nicht, dass die Definition der Hauptkategorie nicht mehr relevant für die Datei ist.

incategory:"Quality images of objects" insource:/Category:Objects/ sucht hingegen auch nicht nach Unterkategorien von Objects sondern nach Dateien in Kategorien die den String "Object" im Namen tragen. Da ist es wenig überraschend, dass das Suchergebnis anders ausfällt.

Mein Ziel ist es auch nicht, diese Dateien als nächstes nach Quality images of objects by country zu sortieren, sondern primär in die passenden Sachunterkategorien (Quality images of vehicles Quality images of buildings, Quality images of food, etc.) zu verschieben. Meine Zustimmung ist sicherlich unbedeutend. Fehler machen wir alle und da kann ich auch auf den Holzweg sein. Die Sachkategorien hätte ich auch als erstes Ziel, aber die länderspezifischen kann man zusätzlich setzen. Für die Sachkategorien knüpfe ich an meinen Suchvorschlag an. incategory:"Quality images of objects" insource:/Category:(Food|[^\|\[\]]+ as food)/ ist dann hilfreich, um Kandidaten für Quality images of food zu finden. So war zumindest vor Monaten mein Ansatz. 100% erreicht man nicht, aber nah dran. --XRay 💬 15:00, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Object is very common. I don't know why flowers are objects: File:Ballonblume -- 2021 -- 8789.jpg. In Quality images of objects are now lot's of images without any reason. The subcategories are not considered, country specific categories too. The category Quality images of objects is now completely confusing. More than 10.000 images. The images aren't there without a reason. All of these images are QIs that are already categorized as showing some sort of Objects by setting. The plan is, to make the categorization more specific, where possible. You are welcome to help me in identifying systematical errors in the catgorization. I will do my best to fix them. Hallo! Irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, dass du eine ganz schön lange To-Do-Liste hast. Category:Quality images of Germany angefangen, aber nicht weiter verteilt, Category:Quality images of objects angefangen, aber nicht weiter verteilt. Und wie schreibst du hier auf deiner Diskussionsseite bei einem anderen Kommentar einer unvollständigen Änderung: "bei Gelegenheit". Wiki Loves Earth 2023 - Deutschland

Hallo MB-one,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 31. Mai 2023 findet zum elften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Der Wettbewerb ist zweigeteilt, das heißt wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Wettbewerbskategorien Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zu Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. In der Wettbewerbskategorie Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen – zum Beispiel in Sachsen die Liste der Naturdenkmale in Wurzen.

Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2023 – Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung.

Damit der Upload für dich einfacher ist, haben wir in diesem Jahr die einzelnen Hochladeseiten für die Bundesländer abgeschafft, alle Fotos werden über dasselbe Formular hochgeladen. Außerdem haben wir das Layout unserer WLE-Seiten geändert.

Damit bewertest du die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelst so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Juli tagen wird, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Earth 2023 in Deutschland. Wiki Loves Earth 2023 - Deutschland

Hallo MB-one,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. Mai bis zum 31. Mai 2023 findet zum elften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth statt. Dabei können unter anderem Nationalparks, Naturschutzgebiete, Geotope und Naturdenkmäler fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Der Wettbewerb ist zweigeteilt, das heißt wir unterscheiden zwischen den beiden Wettbewerbskategorien Landschaft und Detail/Makro. Zu Landschaft zählen auch geschützte Einzelbäume. In der Wettbewerbskategorie Detail/Makro werden Pflanzen, Tiere und Pilze bewertet.

Es sind wie immer viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu finden. Neben Naturdenkmälern wie alten Bäumen oder Naturparks im Gebirge und am Meer können Geotope wie Findlinge, Quellen und Aufschlüsse oder FFH-Gebiete fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. Auch im vergangenen Jahr sind zahlreiche neue Listen und Artikel in diesen Bereichen entstanden, für die wir uns über Fotos freuen – zum Beispiel in Sachsen die Liste der Naturdenkmale in Wurzen.

Als Einstieg für die Suche nach Motiven hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du bei WLE 2023 – Deutschland und unter dieser Anleitung.

Damit der Upload für dich einfacher ist, haben wir in diesem Jahr die einzelnen Hochladeseiten für die Bundesländer abgeschafft, alle Fotos werden über dasselbe Formular hochgeladen. Außerdem haben wir das Layout unserer WLE-Seiten geändert.

Category:Quality images - vector

Hi, MB-one. I noticed that in this edit you added an image to Category:Quality images - vector. Although that category is tagged with {{Catcat}}, there are actually over 300 files in it right now.

I don't understand what the "vector" part of this category is about, but do you think this category needs to be tagged with {{Catcat}}? Could it possibly be tagged with {{Categorise}} instead? I occasionally look at files that are in categories that are supposed to contain only other categories, and this vector categories often shows up as having files.

I agree that Quality images - vector is not strictly a metacat. So {{Categorise}} would be more appropriate.

Frankfurter Grüngürtel

Du hast den Frankfurter Grüngürtel aus dem Landschaftsschutzgebiet Grüngürtel und Grünzüge in der Stadt Frankfurt am Main herausgeschoben und einen Querverweis hinzugefügt. Dadurch sind jetzt sehr viele im LSG liegende Flächen nicht mehr entsprechend kategorisiert. Warum hast du das denn verschoben? Meines Wissens nach liegt der Frankfurter Grüngürtel vollständig im LSG. Oder habe ich da einen Park übersehen, der zwar zum Grüngürtel, aber nicht zum LSG gehört? die öffentlich verfügbaren Angaben, ob das eine Gebiet vollständig innerhalb des anderen liegt, sind widersprüchlich. Einerseits steht auf der Webseite des LSG: "Das großflächige Landschaftsschutzgebiet 'GrünGürtel (sic!) und Grünzüge der Stadt Frankfurt am Main' umfasst den gesamten GrünGürtel und seine umgebenden Grünzüge". Andererseits wird z. B. der Bereich um den "Deutsche Bank Park", sowie der Boehle-Park in der offiziellen Freizeitkarte als Teil des Grüngürtels ausgewiesen, sind jedoch laut der Karte des BfN, nicht Teil des LSG.

Ich tendiere dazu den Karten zu glauben, zumal auch andere Angaben der städtischen Webseite zum Schutzgebiet fehlerhaft sind. MB-one (talk) 14:18, 14 May 2023 (UTC)

Wobei die Freizeitkarte nicht Teil des Landschaftsplans und kein offizielles Dokument im eigentlichen Sinne ist. Ich würde die beiden Flächen eher nicht dem Grüngürtel zuordnen. Unabhängig davon halte ich die jetzige Form nicht für optimal. Bei der jetzigen Form sollten die im LSG liegenden Flächen und zusätzlich in die LSG Kategorie kopiert werden. Ich würde sie aber eher komplett dahin verschieben und das LSG als Unterkategorie in die Frankfurter Grüngürtel Kategorie einordnen, da sowieso alle "Grünzüge" aktuell unter "Grüngürtel" einsortiert sind. Umgekehrt macht noch weniger Sinn, da große Gebiete, die definitiv nicht Teil des Grüngürtels sind (z. B. der Grüneburgpark, Niederräder Ufer, die landwirtschaftlich genutzten Flächen um Zeilsheim und Sindlingen sowie entlang der A5), zum LSG gehören. MB-one (talk) 21:08, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
