- This is possibly the Twin Oaks Farm that my great grandparents loved and raised cattle and farmed the land. 2600:1003:B03B:66CB:C51A:1564:CD08:CD1 15:22, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]I see nobody has thanked you for all the good pictures you have uploaded. I only noticed after you did some northeastern New Jersey ones. Thank you. You might also want to look into Commons:Categories to help others in finding your pictures. Jim.henderson (talk) 18:44, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
Madison County, Iowa
[edit]Hi. I appreciate the hard work you have put into uploading all the photos of historic buildings throughout a good portion of the US. Unfortunately, two of your recent photos from Madison County are not of the correct buildings. The photo of a brick building you provided for the Sprague, Brown, and Knowlton Store is a block to the east of the historic building. Sprague, et al is a stone building across S. 1st Ave. from the White, Munger and Company Store, which you correctly identified and photographed. The building you photographed for Sprague, et al is a contributing property in the Winterset Courthouse Square Commercial Historic District, so it is historic. The second photo is the "File:WILLIAM AND MARY (MESSERSMITH) SEERLY HOUSE, BARN, MILKHOUSE AND SMOKEHOUSE; EARLHAM, MADISON COUNTY;.jpg." It appears to depict a contemporary house, so its not historic, and a house is not part of the historic designation--only the barn and the milkhouse/smokehouse. I have removed them from the Wikipedia page for the NRHP listings in Madison County as they don't belong there now. I hope you find yourself in Madison County again and can photograph the historic buildings then. The rest of your work is beautiful, and much appreciated. Farragutful (talk) 02:02, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
Middletown, Connecticut
[edit]Thanks for some very useful uploads. You might want to take a look at some edits I've made to some of them; also, please, in the future if you could use normal casing rather than all-caps descriptions it would be appreciated. Also, I followed up an issue you raised about a misidentified house (confusion between Jacob Pledger House and Plumb House). - Jmabel ! talk 02:54, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think this user reads his talk page. There have been users who persevere in doing bad things and won't read their talk page. For them, our Admins can do unpleasant things that interrupt their routine. This, however is the unusual case of someone who won't read the talk page and perseveres in uploading good pictures, so that's not an option. What to do, I don't know. I guess we just keep on fixing those few little matters that are not so good. Jim.henderson (talk) 01:45, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
Klotzplate photo added by Smallbones
[edit]Greetings all, User Klotzplate is an elder user of Commons who has uploaded many fine photos but occasionally has computer or interface issues. Hence he asked Smallbones to upload an image for him since it did not work. I have reviewed this, and believe it is ok, but if there are any problems would you please include me in the correspondence loop? Thanks!! Ellin Beltz (talk) 19:20, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Ellin Beltz: The upload problem seems to be fixed now. The one pic might as well remain as "my upload". Thanks. Smallbones (talk) 17:46, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
Wilmot House
[edit]Hi there. Thanks for the pics. I think it's the same house, just very rehabbed. Kalbbes (talk) 23:09, 20 October 2018 (UTC)

Another incorrect image
[edit]File:BUILDING AT ONE PENDLETON PLACE, RICHMOND COUNTY, NY.jpg is not a photograph of One Pendleton Place. Instead, it appears to be an image of another house in that street. See en:Talk:Building at One Pendleton Place#Wrong image. Johnuniq (talk) 07:33, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
