File:JLIR 2.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Según puedes leer en Commons:Coats of arms: "Do not upload coats of arms or their derivatives directly from the web or official registries. Coats of arms drawn by users based solely on the definition (blazon) without any reference to the original drawing (representation) are usually safe for upload.". Saludos, Metrónomo's truth of the day: "That was also done by the president" not an excuse. 17:17, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Cordialmente --Hard (talk) 08:12, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Hard.

You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful.

This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions.

Muchas gracias Ks-M9.

Has enviado tu algún permiso? Un saludo — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.10.31.228 (talk) 18:44, 16 September 2016 (UTC)--Hard (talk) 07:28, 19 September 2016 (UTC) Esta mañana he enviado los tres primeros permisos.
Muchas gracias, Ks-M9.
O a caso ¿No hablas inglés?

No borrar, gracias.

Hola, Hard. CC Zero. CC zero public domain... O algo así, no sé cómo vendrá exactamente. Saludos. Strakhov (talk) 11:17, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked

Taivo (talk) 14:31, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sinceramente, no entiendo nada.
(talk) Straknov, ¿tienes alguna noticia?
:) Strakhov (talk) 16:19, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hola, perdonad que me entrometa. Strakhov me contactó... y no fui de demasiada ayuda :-(

That's it

Hola (Strakhov), espero no molestarte.

Gracias a ti.

2) No te había entendido.
He preferido hacer esto. Insisto, no hay de qué, Hard. Un cordial saludo. Strakhov (talk) 18:57, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

--Hard (talk) 08:49, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hola, Hard.

No he podido subirlas.

Strakhov (talk) 23:08, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder: Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2016 is open!

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2016 Picture of the Year contest.

Dear Hard,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2016 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eleventh edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2016) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 20 April 2017, 23:59:59 UTC.

Flickr2Commons

I have just come across a few images you have recently uploaded from Flickr. I would appreciate it if in the future, you used the Flickr2Commons tool. This tool allows images to be moved to Commons from Flickr without having to download the images to your own computer. It also brings in the largest resolution of the image, as well making sure to list the correct license and url, making it easy for the automated Flickr Review system. Also, it is fairly easy to categorize images with this tool. To use it, you just need to go to the url and authorize it (where it says "authorise first"). Please take care when providing the source urls for images because this one pointed to the wrong image, so could easily have been deleted. I found the correct source and have fixed it, so now I've given it a good review. Also you should always use the highest resolution available, known on Flickr as the "original" and i have uploaded that too. Ww2censor (talk) 15:17, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Lorenzo Luis Garcia.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Lorenzo Luis Garcia.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Hello Hard,

I noticed you've uploaded multiple images that differ only in size, and I thought I should draw your attention to a certain feature of our software. MediaWiki, the software which drives Commons and other projects like Wikipedia, is able to handle reducing the size of the images automatically. For example, even though File:Red Apple.jpg is a very large picture (2418 × 2192 pixel), MediaWiki can automatically generate thumbnails in all sizes (example: 50-pixel thumbnail).

You can include a resized thumbnail of any image in a Wikipedia article using

For a narrower image – those in upright or portrait aspect ratio  – use

Thanks to this feature, you only need to upload the highest-resolution image you have available. That's why File:CMbelagua2010.jpg will be deleted soon, while your larger image will remain available for use and resizing. I also recommend reading the picture tutorial, you will find answer for nearly all your questions regarding use of images there. Thank you and happy uploading.

Thanks for uploading File:Juan botas.jpg.

Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Juan botas.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Pay attention to copyright
File:JuanSBotas.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

 • This file is a copyright violation for the following reason: Image uploaded to Commons and Flickr after it was published in at least one blogpost. Also thumbnail size without exif-data, making it unlikely to be the work of the person who published it on Flickr

Hello, Hard!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.
