Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki ‒ it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. Image Tagging Image:Rikard_Franzen_bild_3.JPG
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Rikard_Franzen_bild_3.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Tintin
[edit]Sorry, it was a mistake. In fact I wanted to rewrite "Tintin" with the font used in the comic albums of the series. I has uploaded again a good version. If you are still unsatisfied with the change, you can revert again: indeed, I do not know if the font is the same for all the translated versions of the series (the font I used is that for francophone albums). Also, if you are interested in downloading this font (and other stuff), I can give you a link. --Pah777 (talk) 22:40, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Speed deletion Request for File:The Legend of Zelda - Golden Catridge.jpg
[edit]Dear Egon_Eagle,
Sorry for bothering you. File:The Legend of Zelda - Golden Catridge.jpg has been marked for a speed deletion. As it's probably because of the Logo present on the cartridge, I've added {{trademark}}.
Could you verify whether a (speed) deletion is still required?

Regards and thanks in advance, ElHeineken (talk) 07:15, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- There was an aonother photo who was deleted for some resaon about Zelda cartridge what I know. According to this: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Image:Potion_6.JPG
- Thanks for your quick reply :-) A deletion of the image would be a loss to the articles using it but if it violates any copyrights there's not much we can do..

File:Edward Furlong image.JPG
[edit]I've reverted your reversion. When you took the photograph, you were kind enough to donate it to the public domain, but the problems with the photo are multiple: Furlong is dwarfed by his surroundings and is difficult to see. The cropping and brightness alteration to your public domain photograph which were made by myself and the other editor improve its usefulness for its usefulness for Furlong's Wikipedia article. - Well I perfer the original image, and decided to revert to the original but I don't like the brightness edit. Egon Eagle (talk) 19:06, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Hi, Do not add speedy deletion when not warranted. Thanks, Yann (talk) 22:02, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
- Yann, there are many copyright NHL logo that should be deleted. Egon Eagle (talk) 22:03, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
- No. Please read the license before adding any tag. Thanks, Yann (talk) 22:04, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
Tagging copyvios
[edit]Hi, When tagging copyright violations, please inform the uploader. This is best done using the gagdet. See in your preferences to enable them, tab "Gadget", section "Maintenance tools" : "AjaxQuickDelete" and "Quick delete". These add links in the left column (or right column for Hebrew, Arabic, etc., language interface). Regards, Yann (talk) 11:29, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
