Commons:Bureaucrats/Requests/Odder (de-bureaucrat)
[edit]In the discussion at Commons:Bureaucrats/Requests/Odder (de-bureaucrat) you have expressed an opinion that Odder's bureaucrat status should be kept or removed, but you did not express the reasoning behind that opinion. I would appreciate it if you would return to the discussion and share why you believe Odder's actions were or were not appropriate for a bureaucrat. This will help avoid future drama by making it clear why (or why not) the community believes bureaucrats should be free to act in this way. Thank you. Thryduulf (talk) 17:24, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
Maps of Kurdistan
[edit]Hi. Yes, I can make new versions of these maps related to new Halabja governorate. However, there might be one problem. I am usually using reliable references as a base for my maps. I am aware that Halabja governorate was recently created, but I have not yet seen some reliable reference which stating what are borders of this new governorate. Perhaps you have such reference which saying that Halabja governorate is made of districts Pencwin, Said sadiq, Sharazur and Halabja? In fact, this source claims that it have 5 districts (with Derbendixan district) included: http://z5.ifrm.com/30192/69/0/p1169408/58.jpg Anyway, both these sources, wikipedia article and map from forum are not considered reliable. Therefore, we have to find some more reliable source which can clarify does new Halabja governorate have 4 or 5 districts. So, can you provide some reference about this to me or I have to search it on google?
As for new maps which will show sub-districts, I can make them, but it would be little bigger job, so I cannot promise that I can make them soon. Contrary to this, maps related to new Halabja governorate are very easy to be made, so I can made them in few days after I find reliable source about number of districts in Halabja governorate. PANONIAN (talk) 21:52, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Well, I just read this: http://rudaw.net/english/kurdistan/140320142?keyword=Halabja It says: "Barzani said the province would have the same administrative borders as the District of Halabja" and "The new province is composed of sub-districts and villages within Halabja’s current jurisdiction. A referendum is expected to be held in the nearby districts of Sharazur, Said Sadiq and Penjwin to decide if they want to be incorporated into the province." So, it looks to me that final borders of Halabja governorate are not defined yet and, thus, we should wait for results of this referendum before I make modifications in these maps. Or perhaps you have some new info about this referendum? This news article that I read is from March, 2014. PANONIAN (talk) 22:30, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- @PANONIAN: Thank you! Derbendixan is a part of Silêmanî governorate. Here is a reliable source from Kurdish News Network too: Halabja to Become 19th Province in Iraq.
- I'm not sure about this referendum, but I'm sure that Halabja governorate is made of Pencwin, Said sadiq, Sharazur and Halabja districts. I hope that gives you enough information to get you started. Regards. --Çalak talk 22:57, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- OK, but I still want to find some official confirmation that all these districts are included into Halabja governorate (with or without referendum). As soon as I find some source that saying this, I will make these maps. PANONIAN (talk) 06:25, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- By the way, this news story is from January 2014: http://knnc.net/EN/full-story-14836-28-False#.VGBa_jSG-NA While this one is from March 2014: http://rudaw.net/english/kurdistan/140320142?keyword=Halabja So, it looks to me that first news (from January) speaks only about intention of Halabja governorate to be created from the territory of these 4 districts. However, the news from March says that decision about formation of new Halabja governorate was signed in that time (meaning that it did not existed in January) and it also says that new governorate is made only from Halabja district, and that other 3 districts might be included after referendum. So, we should find some newer news to see how this issue developed until now. PANONIAN (talk) 06:37, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

- @PANONIAN: Yes, I know! I am interested in Yugoslavia (Serbia) and Soviet (Russia) too :) --Çalak talk 21:26, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

A small request :)
[edit]Hi. I noticed a Wikipedia patroller file (c:File:Wikipedia Patroller-ckb.png) you created. If it's not a hard work, can you make a silver version of the file, with the word Patrulator instead of the original text? Thanks. --Wintereu 08:07, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
