Image Tagging Image:Aries 2nd Gen.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Aries 2nd Gen.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use to release it under the Creative Commons or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

All rights reserved
Hi! I notice that you've added licensing tags to at least some of your images that would place them into the public domain. At the same time, you've labelled them with the words "all rights reserved". Those two statements are mutually contradictory; you cannot give up all the rights to an image by placing it into the public domain and simultaneously reserve those rights.
Please remove the "all rights reserved" notices, or your images will have to be regarded as non-free and deleted. Thanks for your understanding. —LX (talk, contribs) 21:50, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- I can't find those images. I usually write "All Rights Released." -- Bull-Doser 21:51, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- ...and in other news, I've recently lost the ability to read. My profuse apologies. I'm going to get some sleep now. —LX (talk, contribs) 21:58, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Would like to aquire some of your photos
Dear Bull-Doser,
Zurock is currently looking for images of vehicles, mostly from 1989 thru 1997, but we are also interested in more recent and older models for our uDrive application on Facebook.
I have been scouring the wikipedia commons to obtain images one at a time, but it is a tedious and time-consuming project. I realized it would be far more efficient to contact you directly to see whether you might be willing to send us your collection directly.
Do you have a list of the images you have available? How is it organized? Would you be willing to work with us on making sure the right image is associated with the right vehicle?
Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping us make your images more visible and usefull to more people.
Thank you so much, uDrive Chauffeur

Tip: Categorizing images
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 05:42, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Regarding your image File:'75-'77 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.jpg. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo didn't get vertically stacked quad square headlights until 1976. In fact, no model within the Chevrolet Motor Division got square headlights until 1976. You should correct this. ----DanTD (talk) 01:05, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- In addition, this is not a Caprice. It's a 1982-83 Malibu. ----DanTD (talk) 01:12, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Do you have a better version of File:Ford E-Series Ambulance.JPG?
If you can supply the same exact image as File:Ford E-Series Ambulance.JPG at a larger resolution (or media at a higher bitrate, etc.), please just upload it over the original, users will get the new higher quality version with no further effort on your part. If on the other hand, the content is only similar, it is best to select a new image name, as there may be uses already where some aspect of the existing media was key to the usage. In the latter case, if you can provide a crosslink reference to the new image in the older one and vice versa, that will be extremely helpful.
Again, thank you very much for your contribution, it is appreciated.High Contrast (talk) 12:09, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi Bull-Doser, you should use badname only if there is a duplicate file with a different name, which is not the case with this image. Do you want to have it renamed (use Rename +adding the new name) or do you want to have it deleted? --Túrelio (talk) 20:15, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
File:Ford F Series (Orange Julep).jpg not a Ford
Another truck of yours has been incorrectly identified. You called this truck a Ford F-Series, when in reality it's a 1955-57 Chevrolet Apache pickup. I recategorized this myself, but you should rename it. ----DanTD (talk) 21:24, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Categories
Hi Bull-Doser, could you please follow the category naming conventions specified here: Commons:WikiProject Automobiles#Categories, rather than using "Category:Kia Sorento BL", please use "Category:Kia Sorento (BL)", etc?
Generations should also be in lower case and in parentheses (i.e. "Category:Acura CL (first generation)". Regards OSX (talk • contributions) 12:07, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

If you do not remember I would like to know if you had the car owners information.

File tagging File:'05 Pontiac G6 V6 Sedan.jpg
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:'05 Pontiac G6 V6 Sedan.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:'05 Pontiac G6 V6 Sedan.jpg ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:'07-'08 Volvo S60.jpg ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Dates
Hi, yes I wasn't quite sure whether that was an American formatted date, but just guessed that the EXIF data probably wasn't far off - I was wrong :-). It's worth internationalising dates just so people like me don't get confused. Forgive me if you know all this stuff, but some may be useful: If you enter the date as yyyy-mm-dd the info template automatically displays it in whatever format that the viewer's preferences specify (assuming they're logged in). To clarify that those dates are the actual date taken, you could add the template Taken on before the date and that will display the text "taken on" in the users preferred language (the date field is also used for 'date first published', 'date first uploaded' and lots of other conflicting uses). And you might like to put something to the effect "(EXIF date is wrong)" just so that you don't get a succession of helpful people trying to 'correct' the date entry. Hope some of that is helpful. :-) --Tony Wills (talk) 06:48, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- I also forgot that the automatic translation of yyyy-mm-dd dates only works if that is the only thing in the date field, otherwise you have to use yyyy instead. --Tony Wills (talk) 06:59, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hallo Bull-Doser, I just wanted to ask you the same. Is anything not clear to you? e.g. File:Porsche 911 Classic Convertible (Orange Julep `10).jpg has the wrong date format. Please use 2010-08-09 or 2010-09-08 depending if you mean August or September. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 04:13, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- I usually put the month before the day & year. - Bull-Doser (talk) 13:06, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- If you use yyyy-mm-dd then it gets translated and adjusted to the users' preferences - that is the big advantage. You can choose your preferred date format at Special:Preferences#preftab-2. "15:32, June 4, 2011" is a available option there. I have converted it at the file mentioned. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 15:35, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- I've only uploaded a few 2011s, but I'm still stuck on last year for car picture uploads. I will finish my 2010 car pictures somewhat this month. -- Bull-Doser (talk) 15:36, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Great - so many photos! :-) Did you understand what I / we want to tell you regarding the date format? --Saibo (Δ) 15:48, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Re:Caprice Estate 80's.jpg
Another image of yours has benn incorrectly named; File:Caprice Estate 80's.jpg is actually a 1982-1983 Chevrolet Malibu Estate station wagon, not a Caprice. Caprice's were full-size cars, and this is mid-sized. I recommend renaming this one as well. ----DanTD (talk) 16:03, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

File:'65 Imperial Ghia Limo (Auto classique Laval '11).JPG
Hi Bull-Doser, where do you got File:'65 Imperial Ghia Limo (Auto classique Laval '11).JPG from? Did you photograph an old photo? It had a totally off white balance?! I hope it is okay that I tried to correct it. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 04:11, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I used my ol' Canon Powershot 2MP camera, one that uses CompactFlash rather than today's SD/SDHC/microSD offerings. -- Bull-Doser (talk) 15:03, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- I see - an antique photo. :-) Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 22:12, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
