Your bot

is cr*p..why can't someone come up with a decent bot that uploads via the user "uploading" it instead of it trying to do it on its own and then forgetting to actually UPLOAD the picture..everytime i use your bot, i'm disappointed but i'm forced to as there is no alternative but Magnus's bot which is also currently facing "technical difficulties" and the worst part about these bot makers are that they are rarely around to fix them..I reiterate something i said a few years back, this wiki NEEDS Special:ImportFreeImages...can't trust the bots..--Stemoc (talk) 07:41, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Please choose your words more carefully. There are atually multiple reasons to have the Flickruploadbot fail, Toolserver connection, upload ordered but filepage not edited by ordering user, file is a duplicate or a duplicate had already been deleted, html tags in exif data and some others. --Denniss (talk) 12:44, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
actually, it mainly fails with my requests. I don't do anything different but i have been forced to go to IRC on many occasions to ask admins to delete pages which the bot "forgot" to upload the images to..I feel there should be a better method, time to "write off" the bots and make it more "user-pro". Image reviewers can apparently direct upload to wiki, maybe it should be opened for all...time to upgrade this wiki atleast, it is lacking many features/extension that could make this wiki very useful--Stemoc (talk) 13:12, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
If you have a problem with the bot not uploading photos, there is no need to delete the page, it is possible to make the bot "rewrite" the page. I have done that, for example, here, but I do not remember exactly how, it was months ago (try to upload the file, with the bot, with the name of the file that has been "forgotten" by the bot). Sorry for my probably bad English. Nemesis III (discuter) 16:56, 17 January 2014 (UTC).

I'm also having difficulties with the bot. It creates the file description page properly, but then after I click on the link in the page the file is not uploaded. See "File:International Building, Singapore - 20121013.jpg", "File:One Raffles Quay, Singapore - 20121013.jpg" and "File:One Raffles Place, Singapore - 20121013.jpg" which I had to upload manually. — Cheers, JackLee talk 15:35, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

ArchiveBot

Hi, I noticed you have set up User:MiszaBot to archive your talk page. Unfortunately, the bot has stopped working, and given how its operator is inactive, it is unclear when/if this will fixed. For the time being, I have volunteered to operate a MiszaBot clone (running the exact same code). With that said, your input would be appreciated at Commons:Bots/Requests/ArchiveBot 1. The mail address local-potd@tools.wmflabs.org is indeed unrouteable, as the scheme for Tools is toolname.anything@tools.wmflabs.org (or tools.toolname@tools.wmflabs.org; cf. wikitech:Nova Resource:Tools/Help#Mail to tools). Assuming you have set local-potd@tools.wmflabs.org in your script and the above logs are just returning bounces, it should work if you change it to tools.potd@tools.wmflabs.org. You might need to amend the subscribers list for daily-image-l as well. --Tim Landscheidt (talk) 17:13, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
