File:Top-25-Brand.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

--- |1=File:Bases for segmentation.pdf| I am not sure how I can provide a source? The image is based on a cartoon image of people already on Wiki Commons. To this, I added four pointers with text. The text is based on commentary contained in the Wiki article, "Market Segmentation" and is common knowledge within marketing. I created the image in Word and Photoshop by combining an existing image and text from the e intended destination article. It took me several hours to create this image. I cannot add anything more to this discussion. BronHiggs (talk) 22:14, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

- As explained in the description, the image came from my head. It is an amalgamation of insights taken from multiple sources, organised in a unique manner. I developed an earlier version of this table when I was teaching marketing strategy at an Australian university between 1995 and 2010. None of the license descriptions appeared to be relevant for this image. I do not believe that it needs any license. I do not understand what else can be done. BronHiggs (talk) 02:12, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
- So essentially you are saying it is your own work. You need to state a license, e.g. {{self|Cc-0}} or {{self|Cc-by-sa-4.0}} or something. - Jmabel ! talk 03:23, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

- Please delete the file. I have produced a superior image and uploaded it using a different wizard which does not ask for license details. I'm sorry, but I could not see how to add the license details to the image after the event. In future, I will refrain from producing any more images for Wiki Commons. The process is just too complicated and there appears to be an assumption that any diagrams, flowcharts etc are necessarily plagiarised from somewhere. I spent more than 30 years developing these types of illustrations for use in teaching, and continue to develop them for internaional publishing companies where they are incorporated into powerpoint presentations/ instructor's manuals that accompany text books. I am a highly visual thinker, and can hardly look at some prose in a WP article without coming up with ideas about how to present the material in a visual manner. Almost every day, ideas pop into my head about how to improve articles by adding simple diagrams or concept drawings. I have already developed many images for Wiki Commons and question marks appear to hang over most of them. I note that on my page, it says that I "have been warned" about this sort of thing. BronHiggs (talk) 04:36, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
- Adding the license is trivial. I gave you two examples above, but I don't know what license you want. Just put "{{self|Cc-0}}" or "{{self|Cc-by-sa-4.0}}" or something similar for a different license. - Jmabel ! talk 05:08, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

- I couldn't figure out where to put it. I clicked on the image, but there were no lines where I could add the license details. I followed all the links to help pages etc. but was unable to make any sense of it. In any case, there is still a wizard that doesn't ask for a license. I have added a slightly different version of the image using that wizard. BronHiggs (talk) 05:29, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Copyright status: File:Georges-Gasté-1908.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Georges-Gasté-1908.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

File tagging File:Lorna-selim-drawing-1956.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Lorna-selim-drawing-1956.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Lorna-selim-drawing-1956.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

File:Mustafa Halim Özyazıc.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Copyright status: File:Mustafa Halim Özyazıc.jpg
[edit]Copyright status: File:Mustafa Halim Özyazıc.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Mustafa Halim Özyazıc.jpg.
Thank you. |

File tagging File:Lorna-Selim-Secondary School Street-1977.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Lorna-Selim-Secondary School Street-1977.jpg.
Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Lorna-Selim-Secondary School Street-1977.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |
