Hei Bep. Malen du bruker på bildene dine kan bli problematisk om disse retningslinjene blir vedtatt. Det kan derfor være fint om du deltar i diskusjonen. Hilsen Kjetil r 02:25, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Denne diskusjonen er ikkje særleg viktig for meg. Eg forutset derimot at dei set i gang ein robot for å rydde opp i historikken, ei ukritisk sletting av bilete vil vere katastrofal. --Bep (talk) 01:39, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ja, dette vil eventuelt bli gjort via robot hvis noen ønsker å gjøre om på malen din. Dette fører på ingen måte til sletting av bilder. --Kjetil_r 02:41, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image deletion warning Image:Mcdonalds_oslo_2.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.
In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Thank you for providing images to the Commons. Please keep in mind that images and other files on the Commons must be under a free license and should be useful to the Wikimedia projects. To allow others to use your files, some additional information must be given on the description page. Most importantly:

 • Describe what it is about in a short sentence. (What does the image show?)
 • State the author and the date of creation. If you made it yourself, say so explicitly. If it is from another Wikipedia user, link to the person's local user page. Best use CommonsHelper
 • If you did not create the file yourself, state the source you got it from.
 • Add a copyright tag - images without an appropriate license tag will be deleted.
 • Add the image to one or more gallery pages and/or appropriate categories, so it can be found by others. To find out where an image belongs, you can use CommonsSense.

If you copied the file from another wiki, please copy all information given there and say who uploaded it to that wiki. Use CommonsHelper.

It is recommended to use Template:Information to put that information on the description page. Have a look at Template talk:Information for details of the use of this template.

You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file.

Please add as much information as possible. If there is not sufficient information, the file may have to be deleted. For more information, follow the Commons:First steps guide. If you need help or have questions, please ask at the Help desk.

Thank you.

This message was added automatically by Sz-iwbot, if you need some help about it, ask its master (Sz-iwbot (talk)) or go to the Commons:Help desk. --Sz-iwbot (talk) 01:13, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bep!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Hi Bep, hope you don't mind that I formatted your above template. I wasn't quite sure about how to add Information, but I think it would be helpful to use that one. -- User:Docu at 11:01, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This template predates Information, and was created at a time where image description pages had no structure at all. I can't really see how we can add Information to it without breaking it. On the other hand, I notice that Bep doesn't use User:Bep/license for his latest uploads, so perhaps it is time to supersede it? I suggest that we change it to just "© 2005, 2006, 2007 by Bjørn Erik Pedersen" and use it in the "author" field of Information, and use separate license tags. Regards, --Kjetil_r 12:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Something like this version should do, but as his template only mentions ©, I'd prefer that he converts it himself.
I think there is also a bot that can substitute the template on the images afterwards (this would complete migrating "user:bep/license" to Information). -- User:Docu at 14:03, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, that won't do, as Information often is used in combination with User:Bep/license. See this example, we don't want two information templates on the same image page. I think a deprecation of User:Bep/license must be done by hand to catch all the ways it is used. --Kjetil_r 14:19, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You just made that one ;). There seems to be some overlap [1], so yes, it needs some work. -- User:Docu at 16:17, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I will look into it... I started to use commonist for my uploads some time ago, so I stopped using the templates. --Bep (talk) 17:32, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Skreddergården

[edit]

Hei! Vennlig hilsen --Anne-Sophie Ofrim (talk) 19:45, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ser ut til at det er Reuter. Har opprettet kategori. ;-) Vennlig hilsen --Anne-Sophie Ofrim (talk) 08:52, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Picture of the Year voting round 1 open

[edit]

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:

 1. Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
 2. This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
 3. Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.

To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons

Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Please stop removing the license statements from File:Sogndal-Raufoss 310720 Igoh Ogbu-1.jpg. The licensing of this file has been repeatedly discussed in Commons:Deletion requests/File:Sogndal-Raufoss 310720 Igoh Ogbu-1.jpg, and each time the consensus was that the license was valid. Commons:Deletion policy does not make it clear how to appeal a decision to not delete a file, but if you think a mistake has been made you could discuss it with the admin who closed the deletion request, or alternatively raise it at the Commons:Village pump. Deleting license statements following decision to keep a file is disruptive and could lead to you being blocked from contributing to Commons. Verbcatcher (talk) 21:13, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
