File:Pjkurien.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

- Wikimedia Commons also has copyright rules. You cannot copy content here any more than you can on Wikipedia, unless you can prove that it is compatibly licensed. If you actually are the owner of the copyright of this image, which has been published in the press, you will need to verify this. Please familiarize yourself with the policies linked above prior to adding more content, and please be sure to accurately explain where you find content. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:43, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

More on copyright
[edit]Being a public figure does not mean that pictures of you have no copyright. If you are the actual photographer who took this picture, then you may be in position to license it, but we need evidence of this. As this is a legal matter, it is required of anyone who uploads pictures that have been published elsewhere first under different terms. Beyond that, when a picture is challenged please do not upload another copy of that picture pending resolution. If it is determined that we may keep the picture, then it will be retained. If it is not, then all copies will be deleted.
With regards to the other image you uploaded, File:Mathewsamuel.jpg, it is extremely small and there is no information regarding the camera that took it or the date it was taken attached. Can you explain where you acquired this image? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:07, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

- I am concerned about your uploading of images published elsewhere without following procedures as well as by your not discussing the origin of the first image you uploaded. I have asked for others to take a look at the situation here. You are very welcome to explain your perspective and to clarify the copyright status of these images. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:41, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi Benedictdilton, are you really the photographer who has shot the original photo shown in this image? If yes, when have you shot this photo? The current date-entry is just the upload-date, which is a useless information. --Túrelio (talk) 14:59, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
File:Mathewsamuel.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Copyright violations
[edit]
Hello Benedictdilton.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

Re: your question
[edit]Hi. It looks like you might have taken that picture yourself. If so, there should be no copyright issues. We usually don't have any issues hosting photographs you've taken (although if they've been published somewhere else before, we do have to prove you've taken them). It's photographs taken by other people that create issues. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:40, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi hope this time there is no issues with the pic. Next time onwards I will be more careful.
