Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which information may be missing. Thank you.

Image Tagging Image:LabourIndia_Logo.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:LabourIndia_Logo.jpg. This image is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or send an email with copy of a written permission to OTRS (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org).
Unless the permission information is given, the image may be speedy deleted after seven days. Thank you. —LX (talk, contribs) 07:22, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Image:LabourIndia_Logo.jpg I request you to please do not delete it. To assume good faith, managing director of the firm had seen these work & there is no problem at all. to make a quality encyclopedia, it is is essential. Thanks. --Avineshjose 08:12, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- To prevent the image from being deleted, read and follow the instructions at Commons:Email templates and Commons:OTRS, which explain how to obtain and archive a licensing statement from the copyright holder.
- Please respect my request to keep discussions where they started, as this makes conversations easier to follow. I am watching this page, so I will see responses made here. —LX (talk, contribs) 12:07, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi LX, copyright permission already sent to the following id: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org from the webmaster of the company i.e www.labourindia.com & www.santhoshgeorge.com . please look at the email & do the necessary work accordingly. As per the permission, we can use all those deleted 4 images, no problem at all. please restore the images. Thanks a lot. --avinj 06:46, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Again, your user talk page is on my watchlist, so there's no need to remind me on my talk page unless you have some reason to believe I've overlooked a response here.
- Please note that a simple {{Permission}} to use the works in English Wikipedia is not sufficient. You need to obtain a statement asserting copyright and placing the work under a free licence or into the public domain. See Commons:Email templates for an example. From your statements here, it sounds like you may have only obtained the former, but I can't tell for sure, since I don't have access to the OTRS, but I see that you have already filed a request at Commons:Undeletion requests, so I'm sure someone will have a look at it and either undelete the images or let you know if what you've obtained is not enough. —LX (talk, contribs) 07:21, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- it is working now. Thanks. --avinj 08:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Please do not recreate deleted images
[edit]
Your image or other content, Image:SGK AbdulKalam.jpg, was recently deleted in accordance with our process and policies. You have recreated this content after it was deleted. Please do not do that. If you would like to contest the deletion, please visit Commons:Undeletion requests and follow the instructions there to have the deletion reviewed.
Recreating deleted content outside of process is not a good idea, and doing so repeatedly may be cause for you to lose the privilege of contributing here. Thank you for your understanding.
This also applies to Image:Santhosh George Kulangara.jpg and Image:SGK zerogravity.jpg. Please read Commons:Licensing. If you know who the legitimate copyright holders are and you believe that they would be willing to publish the images under a free licence to allow anyone to use the images for any purpose, commercial or noncommercial, in original or modified form, see Commons:Email templates for how to obtain a statement to this effect and Commons:OTRS for information on how to archive this permission. Then file a request for undeletion at Commons:Undeletion requests. Do not recreate deleted images yourself. —LX (talk, contribs) 23:08, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Pay attention to copyright | Image:Secretariat Kerala.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. The Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content, that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You can ask questions about Commons policies in Commons:Help desk.
The file you added will soon be deleted. If you believe this image is not a copyright violation, please explain why on the image description page.

The source website's terms and conditions very clearly states that its contents are not free: "All Content is protected under both German and foreign intellectual property laws, including, but not limited to, copyrights… Unauthorized use of the Content may violate copyright… You may make a single copy of the Content on your hard drive or in print for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided, that you do not alter the Content… you may not modify, copy, reproduce, display, publish, publicly perform, create derivative works of, sell, transfer, transmit, compile, collect in a database, distribute or otherwise use the Content in any way for any public or commercial purpose without the express, prior permission of the Company and/or the copyright holder identified in the applicable copyright notice… If you violate any of these restrictions, your permission to use Content on the Web-site automatically terminates and you must immediately destroy any copies you have made of the Content." You really couldn't get much further from {{GFDL}} than that. You really do need to read Commons:Licensing before uploading anything else. —LX (talk, contribs) 23:17, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi LX, Please see my comments here. Thanks. --avinj 14:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

File:PJ_Joseph.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

File tagging File:LabourIndia Logo.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:LabourIndia Logo.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |
