Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. Image Tagging Image:Infini-T.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Infini-T.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use cc-by-sa-2.5 to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 10:35, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Can you provide the source of the data in this picture? I would like to create open-source svg-version. Infovarius (talk) 09:26, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- Please send it to <my nick> at gmail. Infovarius (talk) 07:54, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
- It would be good if a CSV were made available for people to use in general. It's nice to have Gnuplot (or whatever) source and a CSV on the file page, since it makes it easy for people to make alterations and updates to it. --Tga.D (talk) 08:21, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
- See [1] for data. Delphi234 (talk) 19:14, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

It would be more realistic to do the extrapolation using only the growth (or decline) in the last year. Nuclear and biofuels are not likely to increase. Delphi234 (talk) 19:12, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
I added a vector (SVG) image to replace the English JPEG image on which your file is based: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:X-risk-chart-en-01a.svg. Please consider using the new SVG file as a base for you Polish translation - if you have an SVG editor. Alternatively, send me you Polish text snippets (I cannot extract them sensibly from the JPEG file) and I'll generate an SVG file with Polish text. -- Wrev (talk) 14:56, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
File:Supercomputers-history.svg requires updating
[edit]Hi AI.Graphic,
Thank you for your contributions to Commons. I noticed File:Supercomputers-history.svg is out of date. Could you update it? Thanks again. Rukban (talk) 16:01, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- I just updated data (tab-separated) for the File:Supercomputers-history.svg plot, do anyone have any ideas how to render data into svg (same svg, or new redrawn svg)? @Tga.D: @Delphi234: @Infovarius: @Rukban: ? `A5b (talk) 00:47, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Done. The dates were rounded off to one month = 1/12 year, so these can be refined. Delphi234 (talk) 02:34, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Delphi234: , this is great. I'm sorry, there was typo around 2015-06 - can yo regenerate the graph? An probably explain a bit how to generate something like it? `A5b (talk) 03:01, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
- I added a link to the instructions for Wikimedia SVG Chart. Also fixed the date entry so it is days/year/365.25 instead of 1/12 for each month (imperceptible difference). Delphi234 (talk) 18:08, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
