Hallo Stuntelje, Es scheint nich das gleiche Schiff zu sein, Riesa (ship, 1897) ist Sachse und hieß bis 1918 Habsburg [1]. Die Habsburg (ship, 1884) ist ein österreichischer Bodenseedampfer gewesen. Demnach müsste noch eine Category:Habsburg (ship, 1897) angelegt werden um das eine Bild richtig einzuordnen. Viele Grüße --Rolf H. (talk) 12:12, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

Guten Morgen Stunteltje, die Angaben in www.debinnenvaart.nl scheinen nicht korrekt zu sein. Das Foto wurde am 30. Dezember 2010 aufgenommen - zu dieser Zeit soll das Schiff angeblich schon 5 Jahre den Namen Dina getragen haben. Da ist etwas durcheinander geraten. Das Baujahr 2005 habe ich von hier. My turn to ask some assistance. I tried to make one of my images a featured image and followed the instructions on Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Amsterdam RAI METS 2011 (011).JPG This text appeared in red, but I have not any idea what to do next. • Moin Rolf, ich habe heute diese Kategorie (Category:Steaua Dunar II (ship, 1985)) zu einer ursprünglichen verschoben bzw. eine neue gemacht. Steaua Dunării bedeutet die Donau im 2. Fall - der Donau (G.). Was Baujahr betrifft, so muss dieses noch überprüft werden, auf marinetraffic.com stand 87/4 - April also. The barge "L'Équinoxe"

I noticed this morning that you withdrew the "File:L´Equinoxe (ship, 1965) 002.JPG" nomination. I liked your picture and asked you to suppress the CAs. As I never ask other contributors to fix what I'm unable to fix, I tried to suppress the CAs and it's possible to get rid of them. To do so I used a software called "Rawtherapee". It works with Raw or Jpeg files and can be used under Linux, Win or Mac. Do you know it ? It's easy to use and absolutely free for all platforms. Maybe you should try it. Category:Serenade 1 in Cologne

Hallo Robert, klar kann ich das. Diese Kategorie passt nicht in das Kategoriensystem im Schiffsbereich und stellte einen absoluten Exoten dar. Serenade 1 war das einzige Schiff, dass eine eigene Unterkategorie für die Lokation Köln hatte - theoretisch hättest Du nach dem Du diese Kategorie angelegt hattest (übrigens auch ohne Rücksprache), auch die übrigen Bilder in andere Unterkategorien nach Lokation verschieben müssen (Serenade I in Budapest etc.). Hallo Rolf, die Fotos sind in höherer Auflösung erstellt worden (RAW, "Vollformat"). Den Export aus "Lightroom" habe ich standardmäßig so eingestellt, dass die längere Seite der Bilder 1200 Pixel beträgt, da ich davon ausgehe, dass dies für die Bildschirmdarstellung eine ausreichende Größe ist. Hallo Hasenläufer, desto größe desto besser - gerade bei Luftaufnahmen. Dann kann man auf den Bilder im Vollbildmodus richtig was erkennen. Auch für eine eventuelle Nachbearbeitung ist dies besser. Ich lade meine Bilder immer mit der größten Auflösung hoch. Besonders die Bilder von Vingst und Ostheim wäre ich für einen höhere Auflösung dankbar. Kölner Bilder

Klasse, dass du in den Bildern die Bildbeschreibungen ergänzt.

Einige Kategorien, Allgemeinkategorien, hatte ich auch schon eingefügt. Ein Hinweis aber: wenn du eine BAB richtig bestimmt hattest (oder wenn zwei im Bild sind), dann kannst du auch die kat "Highways in Cologne" heraus nehmen. Hi Atamari, da ich mich inbesondere im von Euch überflogenen rechtrheinischen Gebiet gut auskenne, ist es für mich eine Selbstverständlichkeit bei der Einordnung auszuhelfen. Da hast du auch Recht. In Wuppertal mache ich hauptsächlich die Kategorien; in diesem Fall sind solche "Streckenobjekte" noch unterteilt in den Gemeinden. Siehe Category:Highways in Wuppertal. Moin, Raymond, vielen Dank. Die Schiffskategorien haben schon ihre Eigenart. Die Jahreszahl in der Kategoriebezeichnung ist erforderlich, da es sehr oft gleichnamige Schiffe gibt. 1953 Pontiac

I am sorry, but the Pontiac in question is a 1953. The 1954 Pontiacs received a wholly different grille, see Category:Pontiac 1954 and Category:Pontiac 1953 for further examples. See also this 1954 brochure and a 1953 brochure. As for the Statesman and their automobile knowledge, here they state that the Mercedes-Benz 240D was still built in the "1990s" when it was actually discontinued in January 1986. Names of pheasant illustrations

Hi, thanks for renaming several of the pheasant illustrations I uploaded. I'm sorry for being careless about this, but I just realized that the rename I requested for this file was incorrect. The title should be "White Eared-Pheasant", consistent with what I requested on this file and this one. Rename reason

I am buffled by your interpretation of rename criterions in this action:

I think the original name was perfectly meaningful, in fact more so for a layman than the new. The description gives the detailed information for the interested, as it should, and helps searching on the codes. Most of the codes are also coded in the categories. The detailed information is not needed in the name.

There are of course many images of aeroplanes at Turku Airport, so this could satisfy a criterion on changing too general names to more specific ones, but there has been significant resistance against such a criterion (implying similar resistance against such actions), which is why one cannot find it in the guideline.

If you had some specific reason to rename this file (I have not done any research), then providing that reason, not a reason that does not apply, would do a much better job at furthering trust in those given special tools at Commons.

I understand you might find the new name better, and I might agree, but mostly playing by the rules is necessary not to frustrate those who depend on or try to achieve consensus.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2014 startet in Kürze

Hallo Rolf H.,

in Kürze ist es wieder soweit. Der nun schon traditionelle Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments wird im September zum vierten Mal stattfinden. In ähnlicher Form hatte unlängst der Wettbewerb "Wiki Loves Earth" eine erfolgreiche Premiere. Zu allen bisherigen vier Wettbewerben haben seit 2011 gut 3000 unterschiedliche Teilnehmer (User) ihren Beitrag geleistet. Du warst dabei, und bist auch herzlich eingeladen, am bevorstehenden WLM-Wettbewerb wieder dabei zu sein.

Allein in Deutschland wurden in den letzten drei Jahren im Rahmen von WLM rund 100.000 Fotos zu den insgesamt ca. 850.000 Kulturdenkmalen bundesweit hochgeladen. Jährlich haben sich mehrere Hundert Wiki-Fotographen daran beteiligt. Auch im kommenden Denkmalmonat wird dies gewiss wieder der Fall sein. Der Tag des offenen Denkmals am 14. September bietet bundesweit vielfältige Möglichkeiten, Denkmale nicht nur von außen, sondern auch von innen zu fotografieren. Denkmallisten sind dabei ein wichtiger Orientierungspunkt und zugleich auch Ziel der Einbindung der Fotos. Auch in diesem Jahr sind wieder neue Denkmallisten hinzugekommen, die hilfreich bei der Planung von individuellen oder Gruppen-Fototouren sind und auf eine Bebilderung warten, wie z.B. zu Görlitz oder Zittau. Unter den Landeshauptstädten fehlt nur noch Stuttgart. Aber auch hier ist Licht in Sicht.

In der Mitte Deutschlands hat die Denkmallandschaft der thüringischen Landeshauptstadt Erfurt nun das Licht der Wikipedia-Welt entdeckt. Mehr als 50 Tabellen enthalten 3.700 Denkmale. Allein die wunderschön restaurierte Altstadt umfasst 1.800 Denkmale. Eine von WMDE geförderte WLM-Fototour nach Erfurt am Wochenende vom 29. – 31. August lädt herzlich ein, diese einzigartige Kulturlandschaft zu dokumentieren. Mehr Informationen findest Du auf der Projektseite.

Template:IMO

Template:IMO, which should be used in categories categorized in Category:Ships by IMO number, applies the IMO number as default sorting key for these categories. Thus, it is not necessary to define a custom sorting key in these categories as long as they contain the IMO template (see also User talk:4ing#Category:Ships by IMO number). Currently, 90 of the entries in Category:Ships by IMO number are sorted under I and not the number. bist du eigentlich schon mal auf die Idee gekommen, nicht nur die Kollegen zu fragen, ob sie DEINE Bilder in QI bewerten - der Aufwand ist ja nicht unerheblich, oftmals höher, als der Nominator das für sich selbst ansetzt - sondern dich selbst auch mal mit den Bildern der ANDEREN auseinanderzusetzen? Ich jedenfalls werde keines deiner Bilder mehr in Zukunft bewerten, solange nicht etwas mehr Kollegialität von deiner Seite her sichtbar wird. --Hubertl (talk) 08:40, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Anroma

Hallo Rolf, anscheinend ändert die Anroma gerade ihren Namen, denn auf File:Motorfrachtschiff ohne Name (ENI 02323909) mit Leichter Quatro (ENI 02332894) am Deutschen Eck, Koblenz-8679.jpg ist der Name abgeklebt/überstrichen. Daher habe ich das Foto nur in die Category:ENI 02323909 einsortiert. Da du mein Schiffsexperte bist: Gibt es für diesen Fall „Anonymität“ eine besondere Kategorisierungsform oder sowas? Morjen Raymond, da hat der neue Besitzer wohl noch keine Zeit gehabt zu haben um die notwendigen Lackierungsmaßnahmen durchzuführen. Bisher konnte ich zu dem Besitzerwechsel in den einschlägigen Datenbanken und Foren noch nichts dazu finden. Vom Grundsatz her würde sie, auch wenn der neue Name noch nicht auf dem Schiff steht, unter dem neuen Namen kategorisiert - denn ein Schiff ohne Namen gibt es nicht. Sobald ich den neuen Namen erfahre, werde ich das Bild umsortieren. Wir haben zwar die Seite Commons:Ships by ENI number only auf der solche Fälle eingetragen werden können - leider wird diese aber seit dem der Category-bot seine Arbeit eingestellt hat, nicht mehr regelmäßig befüllt und gepflegt. Der WLM-Countdown hat begonnen

Hallo Rolf H.,

nun ist es wieder soweit. Vom 1. bis zum 30. September findet zum fünften Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Im Mittelpunkt steht bekanntlich das Fotografieren von Kulturdenkmalen. Du hast an einem der letzten Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen und wir freuen uns auf weitere Bildbeiträge von Dir.

Viele interessante Motive, nicht nur Burgen und Schlösser, sondern auch Fachwerkhäuser, Brücken und Brunnen, technische und Industriedenkmale und vieles mehr gibt es noch zu fotografieren, damit sie in der Wikipedia dokumentiert werden können. Nützliche Tipps findest du auf unserer WLM-Projektseite. Du kannst gerne individuell Fototouren durchführen oder aber Dich auch Gruppentouren anschließen. Besonders freuen wir uns auf Fotos, die Lücken in den Denkmallisten der Wikipedia ausfüllen.

Darüber hinaus kannst Du auch an der Arbeit der Jury teilnehmen, die Mitte Oktober die Fotos bewerten und die Gewinner ermitteln wird. Bis zum 15. August kannst du hier Deine Bewerbung einreichen.

Please, let me the choice of the names of my own pictures. Then, you have the possibility to put it in the categories you want. At least, send me a message before, but do not decide without discussion.

I took this picture inside the station, among all the other I took this day at this location. If everyone change the names of my picture (more than 5000 pictures), by adding the name of what it is shown, the final name will be not what I have decided (except real error in the place), and this is my own free decision for my Commons conributions. So please, revert your change and let the Category do their role (just add the picture in to the categories you think the picture is showing )

Dateiumbenennungen

Hallo, mit ist aufgefallen, dass du etliche Eisenbahnbilder umbenennst. Diese Umbenennungen sind nicht durch COM:RENAME gedeckt. Bitte lies dir Kriterium #4, insbesondere die Fußnoten einmal durch und benenne keine weiteren Dateien um. Danke --11:28, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Hallo, nur so ist halbwegs Ordnung in die Kategorisierung zu bringen. Auch das Kriterium #2 könnte bei der von Dir insbesondere bemängelten Umbenennung der Datei File:Baureihe 218 834-0 im Talgo-Werk Warschauer Straße 20140920 5.jpg angewendet werden. Dort heißt es „To change from a meaningless or ambiguous name to a name that describes what the image displays“. Es gibt einige hundert Loks der Baureihe 218. Bei diesem File habe ich lediglich die tatsächliche Ordnungsnummer hinzugefügt, sodass das Fahrzeug eindeutig zu identifizieren ist - ich weiß nicht wo dein Problem liegt. Gruß --Rolf H. Du hast nicht nur in Dateien, wo im Dateinamen vorher etwas von BR 218 stand, die genaue Ordnungsnummer ergänzt (darüber könnte man reden), sondern in etlichen Bildern, die vom Namen her nur Bahnhofsbilder sein sollten, die Loknummer hinzugefügt [4]. In diesen Fällen kann man von den ursprünglichen Dateinamen davon ausgehen, dass die Lok nur Beiwerk ist und also nicht (geschweige denn an vorderster Stelle!) in den Dateinamen gehört.

Namen, die nur die Baureihe enthalten sind weder meaningless, noch ambiguous, sondern vollkommen ok. Ich persönlich finde eine genaue Bezeichnung der Ordnungsnummer auch wünschenswert. Dazu reicht aber die Dateibeschreibung vollkommen aus. Die Umbenennungen genügen nicht den Anforderungen nach COM:RENAME! --Sebari (talk) 12:12, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

Hallo Rolf, ich möchte mich den Vorrednern anschließen - das ist keine besonders hilfreiche Aktion. Die Baureihe reicht in den meisten Fällen völlig aus. Und wenn die Fahrzeuge nur nebenbei abgebildet sind und das Hauptmotiv ein anderes ist, ist sie überhaupt nicht nötig. Für solche Nebenher-Informationen gibt es schließlich die Dateibeschreibung. Ich persönlich finde die Umbenennungen hilfreich - so wird schnell eine Übersicht über die Fahrzeuge geboten. Seht nicht immer alles so streng, wenn Benutzer sich Mühe geben. Danke für deine Umbenennung von File:E110 401-7 Frankfurt.jpg! Ich wäre damals gar nicht auf die Idee gekommen, die Prüfziffer zur Hilfe für die schlecht lesbare Ziffer 0/9 zu nehmen.
