Hi,

I've been on Commons since September 2005, during which time I've accrued over 4,000 edits and over a Terabyte of uploads. I have a solid understanding of copyright and take it seriously,[1][2][3][4][5] and I am pretty mellow most of the time.

I have been an administrator on the English Wikipedia since December 2005, and in that time have performed about 2000 administrator actions, or roughly two actions per day. I am also an administrator on the English Wikisource. As far as I know my actions on these other projects have not attracted community scrutiny or complaints.

The main reason I am seeking the admin bit on Commons is to allow me to perform routine housekeeping (e.g. delete my own badnames and redundant images,[6] roll back vandalism, move over redirects with history, etc) within my spheres of interest, which include flora, and the history and geography of Australia. Judging by my experience on other wikis, I would also do some general housekeeping; e.g. I handle most of the speedy deletion requests on the English Wikisource.

I suppose someone will close this pretty so. Thankyou all for your support (or abstinence ;-) ) Hesperian 06:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
