I'm admin in hewiki from 2004. There I've created many JS scripts, which are used by en, commons and other projects; for example the subpages link in user pages is added by script I wrote (look for "subPagesLink" in MediaWiki:Common.js)
Here I'm working on internationalization of templates (see my edits). I've created the concept of autotranslated templates (see Template talk:GFDL#Auto Translation and Template:Speedy delete text history), which is now standard (which used by Template:Autotranslate. I've also suggested the RTL UI support (see MediaWiki talk:Monobook.js/he) which is now used both in the Hebrew and the Arabic interfaces by MediaWiki:Rtl.js.
The work on translation of heavily used templates requires editing of protected pages. Additional support for RTL interfaces, and translation of the UI requires also ability to edit pages in MediaWiki namespace. - Most of the MediaWiki interface is translated. The problem is protected templates and scripts in Commons that aren't translated. ערן (talk) 21:02, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
