Commons:Requests and votes/ערן
This was closed prematurely, and then reopened. However a further 7 days have went by and it is clear that there is no consensus in granting sysop tools at this point to ערן, so this is closed as unsuccessful. ++Lar: t/c 01:24, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm admin in hewiki. Here I'm working on internationalization of templates (my edits). I want admin status for editing protected pages easily without need to ask for admin help. ערן (talk) 09:43, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Asking about experience or edits ? I have another old account User:Eran with more than 200 edits, and I have experience of about 5 years in Hebrew Wikipedia. Here I want to focus on technical fixes in templates and UI translation, for which I have to get access to protected templates and MediaWiki namespace. ערן (talk) 07:17, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

- i still Oppose per lack of experience. abf /talk to me/ 09:26, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose User modified heavily used templates without consensus, breaking a few of them along the way. User only posted for help on the Village Pump after receiving several complaints on his talk page. If you gain access to protected templates you'll change them without fully understanding what you're doing or testing the results. You will literally break Commons. The few edits you've done to non-protected templates don't inspire a lot of confidence in me. -Nard the Bard 13:10, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- It isn't true. First of all, you was the only one to complaint because you used {{SOMETEMPLATE/en}} instead of {{SOMETEMPLATE}} - because of your mistake, it didn't work for you. Secondly, I didn't post any help in the village pump - Multichill opened disscussion there. And finally - all my requests for edits in protected pages were ok and there was no argue on them (see MediaWiki talk:Monobook.css/he, MediaWiki talk:Monobook.js/he, Template talk:CC-Layout, Template talk:Author missing, Template talk:Vector version available#auto translation) ערן (talk) 13:58, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose per Nard the Bard's concerns. --Herby talk thyme 13:42, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Comment We need all of our admins to be collaborative, in the spirit of COM:MELLOW... what I've seen here so far concerns me, and further investigation might be warranted. Withholding vote for now. ++Lar: t/c 16:35, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry, but I think you need a bit more experience. I'd rather you have two or more pages worth of this. Sorry! -phobia don't be afraid to drop me a line! 02:28, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Even if you're a trustworthy user on he:WP, I think you should have a better experience on Commons before applying for adminship. --Pymouss Tchatcher - 12:08, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Potential here, but needs to know more about commons first. — Rlevse • Talk • 22:15, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Without piling on... you need more experience in the project. Working at more areas could help expand your knowledge. —Ceran (speak) 14:55, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Can you more conclusively crosslink the two accounts? The history shows that you redirected Eran to your newer account but a note to that effect on both pages might be good. See, for example, how I crosslink User:Lar and User:Larbot here ++Lar: t/c 16:30, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- I prefer to use redirect, and not to use link with comment - it's easier for users just to get to the newer account instead of telling them that they should get it manually. If the crosslink between the account isn't conclusively enougth, I can add comment in my newer user page using both users. ערן (talk) 16:37, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- Here I'am using the second account... Not enougth? You can even ask check user that it is the same IP ;) Eran (talk) 16:41, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
