- Info The Seaside Sanatorium is a historic medical facility in Connecticut designed by Cass Gilbert. It was the first institution built specifically for "heliotropic treatment" for tuberculosis. The treatment had to do with the role of vitamin D in fighting the disease. Not long thereafter, though, a vaccine was developed, making the treatment unnecessary. It served a couple other purposes before permanently closing. Now it's a public park. It's an unusual space, so I put together a panorama of the building. The other version is nice in that it includes part of the beach, but I think this is the better combination of composition/light. all by — Rhododendrites talk | 20:09, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
